I have always had good luck with KOAs. Always found them friendly and convenient. My grandkids do love KOAs. Nice job.
Thanks Scott. I always had a bit of a "love-hate" relationship with KOAs. On one hand they are like McDonalds of campgrounds, you always know what to expect when staying at one - Clean Friendly and Convenient. On the flip side they are more expensive and the sites are smaller than many of the public campgrounds we normally stay at. Like I said in the video, I am not the customer democratic that most KOA target. Most KOAs are targeted to family’s with young children, like you and your grandkids. Spending 6 weeks at this KOA I was able to see that first hand on the weekends with all the family's there having fun.
This KOA was very helpful for us as we did not know how long we needed to stay in San Diego and they allowed me to extend our stay on a weekly basis. That did come at a cost of $90 per night - but that was in line with other campgrounds in the San Diego area. We are already talking about going back in a couple years.

The people at the KOA were very friendly and helpful. They were always asking me “how is Diane doing.”

We’ve paid $90 a night day kOA on the east coast. I’m surprised California is not higher as it looked to be one of the nicest KOA’s I’ve seen. So glad they were able to accommodate you both! Hope Diane is doing well!
$90 was the cheapest campsite, the quickly went up from there.

I did look at other campgrounds in the SanDiego area, most of them were more expensive. One campground that we almost moved to was $3000 per month. California doesn’t disappoint on expensive camping.
