60 or 80 series LandCruiser. GQs with the 4.2D are good too but we NA from the factory
Blacktop Nissan TD42 is a 4.2 factory turbo diesel. Toyota 12HT is 4.0 factory turbo, 1HDT, 1HD-FT, and 1HD-FTE are 4.2 factory turbo. All good motors

Whats the cost of all of this new gear?
Diff lockers fitted $3200. Bullbar $1600. Suspension $1200 at least. UFH $200. Antenna $200. 4 terrain clutch $600. Tyres $1700. Winch $1000. Rear storage $1000. Roof rack $1000.
Probably near $12,000 including the lights, more if you count all the installation.

RIP to that mint condition GQ. Liam ever heard of mechanical sympathy? Also who gets rid of the factory flares for those piece of shit plastic garden edges? Yuck.
Thank you for watching. Definitely a very old episode but Liam still has the GQ and it's going strong. No one here can remember why those flares got changed. They are dedicated 4x4 flares (haha, not garden edging) but we agree, the factory flares look better.
4WD TV Good to hear he still has the GQ and that she still runs. Even though its a strong car, the diff housings can bend if you land hard enough or bounce over everything. Is it a TB42 or TD42? People would pay an arm and a leg for the factory flares/mud guards in good condition these days but they probably weren’t as scarce when this video was made so it probably didn’t seem too big of a deal.
