@Box no it doesn’t. Just compare Ronaldos work rate with any of liverpools front three. If Ronaldo doesn’t participate in liverpools pressing, the opponent will always have one player open that Ronaldo would have had to cover. Klopps tactics rely on their pressing scheme. Clearly individualy Ronaldo is the better player, still as a team they would get worse with him.

Literally the dumbest debate. Klopp is praised as a manager because he was able to take a team of a lot of underrated players and create a system that works to get the best out of each player. As a Man U fan I can say no Man U players get into that team (maybe pogba) because it’s LIVERPOOLS SYSTEM.
Lets see how that feels with a different coach, approach and team selection. But in principle I agree with you.
I don't think Pogba would get into the team. We play such a high line and our full backs are almost like wingers that the midfielders need to be on the brake and be alert and not get carried away in going forward. We concede a lot of goals because we press so high even though we are dominating a game. Ironically, even though United fans would prefer Pogba and Fernandes they would never work in Liverpool and Klopp would probably prefer Fred and Mctominay

I could see Varane getting in, the rest are just diabolical. Goldbridge kept changing the rules. Wanted De Gea in for his Form over 2 months but looked at the last 18 for Shaw, picked Pogba on his international Form and picked Ronaldo on his Form from 10 yrs ago.
In hindsight Jota is of course the best in form player of the center forwards of both teams. I still think Ronaldo would be a starter for Klopp. Pressing or no pressing.

The Henderson thing is weird. In terms of talent there is no comparison Pogba is hugely more talented and has a very high ceiling. BUT for the Liverpool system, I'd take Henderson over Pogba, Henderson is absolutely essential, the way we perform without him is night & day, his energy, leadership, reliability, positional awareness, accountability and he so often plays the ball before the assist, out to Trent or Robbo for a cross or into the front 3 to dribble/shoot inside & around the box.
So genuinely, if we were offered a trade, Henderson for Pogba I'd keep Henderson and I think Klopp would too.
That pass to Salah is legendary.
When people go back and look at his highlights he will be remembered correctly. He is too underrated.

Honestly this is why I don't really like "Put opposition player into team X" type thing when two teams face each other. It's not just about individual skill but also how the player fits into the team, the team style etc. I do feel Rambo is correct in that Klopp wouldn't take Ronaldo right now, Ronaldo as brilliant as he is wouldn't fit into the style of play, the pressing game especially. To bring him in would change a system that works and likely end up with Liverpool not playing as well as they are.
Sometimes it's not about the best player. But the right player, in the right position, in the right team, in the right style. Hendo is that for Liverpool

Regardless of today's result, it annoys me that Henderson is always slagged of by so many. He's the best captain in British football and drives his team forward. In terms of ability, flair, pulling a rabbit out of a hat in clutch situations, Pogba is the best pick. In terms of leadership, consistency and commitment, Henderson is the best pick. This is why choosing an individual player in football as being better than another is always debatable. You have to choose according to the qualities they bring relative to the qualities of the other players in the team.
