World Second Largest Salt Mine In Khewra Jhelum Punjab Pakistan Full History In Urdu

- In this video we will show you the largest salt mine of Asia and the second largest salt mine of the world which is situated in the area of Khewra Tehsil Pind Dadan Khan District Jhelum. The first biggest salt mine of the world is situated in Poland but it's salt is not standard able. while the standard able salt is present in the second largest mine of Khewra in the city of Jhelum Province Punjab and the volume of the its salt reserves is 2 Crore 20 Lac tons from which the 20% is not been extracted. The Kohistan salt range starts from river Jhelum near Begunwala and ends at Kalabagh near river Sindh. Its length is 300 KM, width 8 to 30 KM and height 2200 to 4990 Feet. Khewra is also called earth's museum. This mine has 17 floors but the tourists are allow to go only on the 6th floor which is equal to ground level. The Sheesh Mahal, Mosque, Hospital, Crystal Valley, Model of Minar-e-Pakistan, Model of Chagai mountain and Wall of love are made with salt present in the mine which attracts the tourists. Along with 152 years old train is also present here which was used to extract salt from mine in British era. The naturally made water fall present in the mine have special attraction and interest for the tourists. Along with the 100 biggest ponds of salty water are present as like the death sea in which the person do not drown after fallen. A restaurant is made inside the mine where the tourists come on foot take rest here. The gift shops are also made inside the mine from which the tourists buy gifts for their love ones. When Sikandar-e- Azam and Raja Porus fought on the bank of the Jhelum river in 326 BC than Sikandar-e-Azam stayed in the mountain rang of Khewra. After the short time the horses of Sikandar-e-Azam starting to lick the stones and than for the first time the salt discovered in this valley. It is said that a small sea dried before billion years ago and than great reserves in the form of salt mountains came into existence. Although it's history is extreme ancient. The beautiful environment of colorful lights are set up inside the mine after trim the red, white and pink salt. The special arrangements have been made for light and air coming inside the mine but the more mixture of salt is present in the dust here. This salty air is very useful for the patients of Asthma and dust allergy. Therefore a hospital is made here for the treatment of these patients. You will feel surprise to see the tears of salt inside the mine. The Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation took over the whole arrangements of this mine from the establishment of Pakistan. More than one thousand persons work here. A railway station of British era made outside the mine to carriage salt which is not active now. A beautiful park of swings is made in front of Khewra mine on the bank of mountains stream for children and family. A small train is running for the facility of tourists which is called tram which take the tourists inside the mine and than take outside. If you go on foot inside the Khewra mine than the ticket is for four hundred rupees and if go through tram train than the ticket is for six hundred rupees. In fact this is the earth's wonder in Pakistan and every year approximately two lac fifty thousand people come here from Pakistan and abroad to see this mine of Khewra. The different types of hotels and restaurants are present outside the mine and there is no fear of any type for tourists and you can come easily and enjoy. You will only take care of the timing of the mine which is from 8Am to 5PM. I hope you will enjoy this video.
