I've been using similar (same type dolly) with 30 gal barrel also - works great. Only difference is mine have just one block on each end, with arc cut/ground to match barrel contour (can use cardboard to cut a rough template) to avoid any long-term warpage/leaks from high stress of point contact. I've never noticed any barrel warpage this way - does yours cause warpge/leaking, or is it ok for 30 gal?
I see others have same question about your angled blocks. Thank you for creating/sharing this video.

Where did you get your barrel from? Jay at Sunfresh?

I got that barrel from morewine. Consumer produce has some also. I haven't checked with Jay at sunfresh but I would guess he can get one. The small barrel at consumer produce are 25 gallons but 30 was about as small as I wanted to go because I want to keep the wine in it until next year's vintage is ready to go in and anything under 30gal might be a stretch to do 12 months.

Did you find that this was good enough for the barrels? The edges didn’t need to be rounded at all to better seat the barrel? Really wondering if the straight cuts dug in or warped your barrel after time and weight from the wine? Thanks in advance for your time.
