It was very sweet Shannon just the right length for a busy morning ( I usually watch in the evening ) The sea well tee is lovely. I really like wearing linen in the summer

Hi Shannon, Love your podcast, especially all your knits. I'm so motivated by you, to try socks...beginner knitter here. On my needles is a shawl - Just finished two crochet blankets for my children. A labor of love for sure.

Aww, thanks so much!! Yes, yes, blankets are awesome yarn eaters but also time eaters, lol! ❤️❤️❤️

Big congrats to spin daily!! It really adds up fast that way. I am still working on getting this to be a habit.

It's a peaceful way to start the day, with a bonus of working through my fiber stash! I hope you get there!! ❤️❤️❤️

I absolutely LOVE the yarn you spun!! I could see it as an all over Colorwork sweater with that as the contrasting colour throughout. Maybe like the Laneway Sweater. The duller colours come from having so many colours mixing. I think it's beautiful!!!

Thank you!! Yes- you're re right about the muddy colors being from mixing too many together! I totally spaced on that impact. ❤️❤️❤️

Fun as always Shanon! Your Sea Swell Tee looks fabulous. Apologies for the tedious colorwork :). Love your latest spin and immediately thought of another Chiaro Scurro sweater with those two. ❤

Thank you!! Hahah!! It was totally the fiber, not the pattern 😉 Oh, linen! That would be interesting and definitely work in a pattern like that! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for the encouragement! I find when I don't like a yarn I made at first, I generally come back around to it later! ❤️❤️❤️

As always, love the city views. And, I'm guessing that the buildings are a mix of offices and condos/apartments.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on sock knitting machines. Have you ever considered purchasing one? Possible topic for an upcoming video.

You mean the buildings over across the river? Yes, definitely a mix although I think more residential along the river. Businesses tend to be more central.
Never considered a sock machine mostly because I live in a small place and don’t have room. I think they’re cool though!!

OMG, cute little Egg with his new pal! Love it! I don't comment much, but I do watch! I'm getting more and more tempted by spinning, and even though I do watch you, I don't know if I know what type of spinning wheel you have. Do you think a pedal wheel is better than an e spinner? Just curious. I always love to see how your spins come out. And what you knit always inspires me as well! Take care. (Oh, and I have an issue with reds too. I love them in color work samplers (xs), and I love those autumnal colors that have some red tints in them. But wearing red? Always gives me pause, despite people saying I look good in it!)

Red-- yes, that's meee, too!! 😂 Thanks so much!!
I have a Kromski Sonata, double treadle. It's very versatile with all the attachments. Although, I'm planning on getting an e-spinner (Hansen) later this winter, or early next year. I love the rhythm of treadle but for plying, I can see the advantage of an e-spinner. For some reason, my wheel isn't great for plying. My legs often get tired; it's harder to make the wheel spin, before I am ready to stop plying 😮‍💨. When I learned, my spinning teacher told me to get any wheel I could afford and not stress too much over whether it was the "right" wheel. I searched craigslist that week and found the one I currently have for 1/2 what the retail price is. It felt like fate! I guess what I'm saying is-- get one and just start going. I do think controlling the wheel speed with feet while drafting with hands is easier than trying to draft and control the speed with your hands. I remember, I didn't want to take my hands off the fiber. You'll figure out what works for you by doing! It would be good if you have a shop or guild where you could take a class or try wheels out. So glad you commented! ❤️❤️❤️
