Yeah I got these figures and they definitely are on the cheaper side. I still have loads of clone wars astromechs on hand and even to this day they feel super solid and high quality. These ones feel super cheap, and that’s a real shame. That seems to be a big issue with a lot of the vintage collection figures. The only collection that isn’t too badly effected is the black series but those figures are bigger and so that’s a whole other ballpark. (What’s ironic is that Kenner produced the most inaccurate R2 figure ever with their original version and it’s variants, and yet when they are given the opportunity to remake it and make it look accurate… they somehow still messed it up like they did in the 80’s. They got the colors right, but not the design. XD)
ya I skipped on th R2 cause I hate that sculpt and only got the CP0 cause I don't have many protocol droids in my collection. the Boba is a great figure for the most part but yes they certainly skipped on the jet pack for paint and my legs don't pop off like that but there was a bunch of excess plastic around the knees in the back that I had to cut away so definitely some laziness with the manufacturing going on with this line

@@ToyShiz oh, nice! I was hoping i wasn't crazy on that. I saw it way back when they announced the figures, but even the hasbro site never mentions it. It DID show the leg opening, though. Being able to pull it apart was *kinda* the only reason i was thinking of buying it.
The DOPES at Hasbro are so stupid if they fail to realize that 99% of the people that buy these figures, especially at their inflated prices, are doing so specifically for the CARD BACK PACKAGING. The actual figures are cheap, worthless, basic, and have no shelf appeal whatsoever, especially since we have so many better iterations of these characters. It’s the PLASTIC bubble display, and killer looking artwork that attract us collectors Hasbro, who represents 99% of your customer base. So go ahead and stuff these all in a windowless box wrapped in tissue paper and see how well that goes….🤬. Ok, rant aside, thanks for taking the time to review these figures. I bought a few of each (obviously for the card back packaging), but after seeing them opened I doubt I’ll ever open them. They’re not worthy of my shelf space.

I collect to plan to open all my collection (some point) but now these exclusives are best in package wow. Adult collectable indeed🇺🇸🪖
The original action figures based on the cartoon were recolours of the original 1970s action figures as well, it makes sense to me
