Anyone intelligent knows the contempt we, often secretly, have toward the less intelligent. Ergo... things massively more intelligent that even those of us who are intelligent (by human standards) understand what these entities will think of us and humanity in general.
Yoshua the way to get people to understand the risks is to develop a simple two minute story about what could go terribly wrong. You can use AI to develop that story.
@@JACKnJESUS We can agree about there not being any evidence for a supernatural supreme being. That's completely irrelevant. Your claim about what many people believe is still wildly unscientific. If you are intellectually unable to discern the difference between someone making claims about the existence of a supernatural being and someone making claims about what people believe, you're in no position to insult anyone's intelligence.
@@netscrooge Okay...so your position is that not many people believe in god. That's what you are basically saying. Has nothing to do with science btw...the exact opposite.
@@JACKnJESUS It has everything to do with science. You're pretending to take the side of science, but your original comment was actually much more of a tribal one than a scientific one. It's typical. Online, the unscientific "science" tribe likes to attack religious tribes for being tribal. But they are no better. They are often just as irrational.
There exists no metric for "super human" AI because there is no metric that describes what constitutes the natural human state. No metric outside of my own work, of course.
I could care less if it takes human jobs. The problem is these guys want you to wait 50 years until it's capable of doing it. All computer jobs need to go.
I think true superhuman AI would consider all of it in it's conscious😅 but from my own experience, we are working on AI wich propably won't ever be close to that😅 That is the main reson😅
It should be noted that Geoffrey Hinton also has been sounding the alarm.

"We're building it anyway." Lol
I wish i could have yoshua's hair. He can keep the brain.😅😅😅😅😅😅
Heck...most folks think there is an invisible being watching them 24/7.
Edit: Of course we aren't ready for AI.
The evidence for most folks thinking there is an invisible being watching them 24/7 is rather weak. You are yourself expressing unscientific thinking.
@@netscrooge Actually there is zero evidence that an invisible being exists. Pointing that out has nothing to do with my scientific acumen.

What happens when woke people do the programming? And AI decides Humans are a problem? Then we have Skynet.
Nature eliminates anything that doesn’t serve a purpose. So yes, human days are numbered.
Too much compassion is not the problem.
The risk of AI going woke is greater than going rogue.
It should be illegal to have A.I. Take human jobs. It should be used to make life easier.
Make life easier = take human jobs.

So I guess you never use Google Maps or Uber?
