The SMK is one of my favorite Heavy Tanks in game and I can't quite describe why. This thing is a brute with two turrets and can actually surprise you with its capabilities. I hope you enjoy the video and thank you so much for watching!

@@jtl05 she had surgery 4 or 5 weeks ago to get a tumor out and the wound got infected so bo has been taking Sadie to every three or four days to replace the bandages and their treating the wound as an open wound since there's no skin where it is

To continue what Sturmling was talking about in the video, the SMK that was disabled was captured by the finnish forces during the winter war near Summa. The three prototype tanks were a part of the 91st tank battalion of the 20th Heavy Tank Brigade. The unit also was fielded alongside the BMH-3 flamethrower variant of the T-26.

The large tanks like the Independent and SMK are interesting in that they're basically the ultimate evolution of the WWI style tank.

I come for the Sturmling "Hooray's." Didn't disappoint.
With all those different options you guys talked about early in the vid was interesting. I use Voice Attack and just talk to my tank. That program can be used with most any game.

SMK did not only hit a mine,but before that it did get hit by 37mm bofors APHE shell, under the main turret, jamming the turret ring.
Although soviet tanks were obsolete during the winter war the massive internal volume of the T-28 and -35 were quite benefit for the soviet tanks.
A war veteran memoir remarks that a crew of a 25 mm french ´´marianne´´ AT-gun did shot a rampaging T-28 8 or more times headon with AP Shells before they put a stop to the ´´Post-wagon´´, as the tank caught on fire. Due to urgent lack of AT guns during winter war occasionally old ww1 infantry and trench guns as well as light field guns were rolled against tanks.

So the devblog season for Update 2.39 has begun today, and our first vehicle is the T1E1 variant armed with the same 90mm gun from the M26 Pershing.
Now hopefully we get something more cool.

If you listen to Bo the M3 lee becomes a monster, one of my favorite low tiers cause you basically get a 37mm machinegun and a 75mm normal cannon.
You can also add the machine gun keybind, makes US machine guns a lot more scary, as the turrets aren't moving anymore

Stick's parenting skills once again put to the test by the ASU
As far as I've read, only one of the T-100's was used during The Winter War in Finland. The other one was returned to Russia for modification into what would become known as the SU-100Y with the 130mm cannon. The SMK may well have survived until the early 1960's in a somewhat dilapidated state when it was finally scrapped with a number of other one-off vehicles. Not sure what happened to the remaining T-100. 🤔
Yes, the SU-100Y did serve in the battle of moscow with the T-35 SPG conversion also known as the Battlebus, or SU-14-1, carrying 152 mm gun-howitzer.
The SMK prototype although very little paper trail exist´s on this has believedly been scrapped in 1941-42. The story of the 2 KV-1 prototypes is also unknown.

Stick driving into a pit has to be one of the first maneuver kills I've seen in war thunder in a long while that isnt through pushing a guy into water
1:18 as a console player I can completely agree with what stick boy is saying because it is so much more fun to fire both of the guns and watch the enemy come out thinking that they've got you where they want you and then your gun reloads faster than they have time to push out and then you surprise them with a shell to the face. Or you can just grab an M3 Lee and use it like a Sherman and completely annihilate the enemy I've had that happen before and it was a very lucky shot with most of them but it still worked
I don't really know to many prototypes from world war 2 but fun fact, the SMK was my first ever premium in war thunder for tanks and I didn't like it until recently. And I started playing in 2015. Love the video.

Fun fact: T-100Z saw combat after Winter war, partially. During Siege of Leningrad, it's turret was mounted on a concrete DOT and I think it held germans for a while at the direction. I found only one actual photo of it, I searched everywhere I could yet still didn't find more than this.

It’s actually funny. I’m selling a 1/35 scale model kit of this thing at a show in November. How coincidental it is that Bo does a video about it a day after I finished my product directory.
Unfortunately for the SMK, two guns in two turrets on a vehicle still wouldn’t be enough to win against a T26E4 Super Pershing.

Dont forget the controllable 50cal in the back of the main turret!
Low-Mid tier will always be my favorite but I still love seeing the high tier videos and content that ya put out Bo!
Binding primary weapon to left click and secondary to right click is what I use for playing two cannon tanks, transfers over to planes for cannons/MGs

I personally have Primary/Secondary/Rest bound to mouse side buttons. It's essential to have weapons select bound on multi-gun tanks.

The SMK, for when you have to bring your brother with you, but you just had an argument. And don't want him in the same turret. Bring the SMK, or any other tank with more than one turret.
If you have the turrets over independently, You can have a friend control one turret while you control the other.
I completely forgot that I bought the SMK, I need to play it sometime! Great video Bo and co!
I am with Stickboy, I bind all cannons to one button/key. I do this with the SMK, Maus, M6A1, T1E1.
I know they aren't practical but i still love the idea of multi turreted monsters

Could you make a video of M2 medium tank, the tank with 7 30 caliber machine guns or M2A2 with two machine gun turrets please?. These two are tanks that you haven't played yet and are low tier so I'm sure the gameplay will be fun

I use L, K, and ; with left cntrl to reset the selection. Works for me in CQB.
I use num keys to switch selected weapons, great for using 50 cals and not screwing up the gun elevation or direction

Even better is getting a kill with the smks 30mm mounted on the top turret it's difficult but can be done. Also like stick I have not keybound the double turret tanks to be able to control the turrets seperately

The key binding talk was interesting, but is it possible for you to talk a bit about the weapon options of each vehicle you take out. I was wondering if that 12.7mm HMG in the back of the top turret can be fired or not... that would be three useful guns.
Yes the machine gun on the back of turret can be fired and also selected as well.

so you have it on alt+f and the other with r nice, i have on aiming the gun while in the scope but not with the mouse that the basic way i have a second aiming idk what its called but its like you can aim the gun without moving the cam and i have it on ctrl c, ctr v, it does the job well my bad for typos if there are any didnt have a much time before smt
