The early/mid war models before they introduced the deep chin radiators on the J model were some of the most beautiful airplanes ever created.

Pe stands for Petlyakov, the Petlyakov Pe-2's nickname is "Peshka" meaning Pawn in english, the Pe-3 is based on the Pe-2 so i imagine Peshka was used to describe both, and fun fact it also has a NATO reporting name of Buck

I actually feel bad for Stick. The Vikings are having a disasterous off/pre season.
1. Traded their quarterback
2. Drafted a new QB 10th Overall
3. Lost one of their cornerbacks for the season with a torn ACL
4. Their 4th round draft pick was killed in a car accident (other vehicles fault)
5. The QB the drafted is out for the season after needing surgery for a torn Meniscus
