Challenge #1 The Glenshee 9 Munros In 1 Day
No1 Creag Leachach - 987m
No2 Glas Maol - 1068m
No3 Cairn Of Claise - 1064m
No4 Tom Buidhe - 957m
No5 Tolmount - 958m
No6 Càrn an Tuirc - 1019m
No7 Càrn Aosda - 917m
No8 Càrn a' Gheòidh - 975m
No9 The Cairnwell - 933m
So, the first of our challenges sees us setting off very early to make most of the light that we had. About 12 Hours of light to be more accurate.
The initial sections are fairly easy going with only a slight technical nav from No5 to No6, the rest are fairly straightforward. After No6 the descent back to the A93 is long! The whole time, Carn Aosda is looming over you as you know you have that to climb next!
Strangely, the climb up Carn Aosda was fairly pleasant. Yes, it's tough and steep but interesting and keeps the mind going. The reward at the top was some stunning views!
The slog to No8 was much harder than anticipated and the fact that the weather worsened considerably was definitely a factor.
Summiting No9 just in the nick of time to make the most of the light was perfect. Descending wasn't too difficult using the chairlift as a guide. Wish it had been on though!
Overall this was a demanding hike in the conditions but in good summer conditions I don't think this would be outwith the realms of most fit hillwalkers.
Absolutely stunning experience and one I may even consider doing again!

Great video as always mate - I’m stuck in the house able to do f*ck all just now, i’ve got Pericarditis (inflammation of the heart) so can’t gym, hill walk etc. for a couple of months at least. But, your videos made me buzzing to eventually get back out there! Glad the views eventually opened up for you on this one 👌
