    For those who are thinking of buying this in 2022, please stay away. Poco M3 and its twin, Redmi 9T, suffer from the “dead boot” issue. If you try to reboot, it will shut down but not boot up. No combination of power and volume button presses can turn it on. Only solution is to wait for the battery to fully drain, then connect to a charger. If the empty battery icon appears, try to turn it on. If it goes back to deadboot, try again (drain battery, connect to charger, try to turn on). Took me 3 tries before I succeeded, and now the phone must avoid reboots.

    25% in 30 minutes means full charge in 2hrs, which is pretty good considering it`s a 6000 mAh battery, besides, the faster you charge, the fewer cycles you will get from the battery, slower charge=longer lifespan :)

      what people dont understand about all these damn reviewers talking about battery charge time is that they charge them in airplane mode and everything else off in a cold condition. Its basically a dead phone and i bet 0% of the population charge their phone like that except in lab test. You will have some apps open and especially wifi/4g so the real life charging time will be 2hours ++ or even 3 hours.

    • @ainsasaki4820
      @ainsasaki4820 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@loucipher7782
      Well, shit! I must be part of the 0% of the population or maybe my house is a lab test. What makes your think people do not use airplane mode when they are charging their phone? I mean, honestly just think about it, why do you need to keep everything on when you're charging your phone? You are charging it anyway so you shouldn't use it or else it will overheat and degrade the battery resulting in a shorter lifespan. If you are afraid of missing some calls or important notifications when charging, just charge it when it is your free time or something. Charge it while you're taking a bath, eating, cooking, working, studying, SLEEPING, or something else that keeps you busy and you don't need your phone for that activity. It doesn't have to be 100% charged, it will not degrade the battery if you don't fully charge it so you can unplug it after cooking and eating for like 30 minutes. In fact, it is the opposite. You should not drain it to 0%. Once it goes down to 20% max - 10% min, charge it. And may I repeat that you SHOULD NOT use it while charging especially if you plan on playing games because of what I said earlier. And yes, we don't have an air conditioner so it is hot as fuck in here and my phone does get hot while charging. I do these steps all the time ever since I bought my phone last year. My phone is already 1 year and 1 month old, yet, it still has a great battery and still charges exactly for only 1 hour. Even though they said that fast charging phones have a shorter battery lifespan, it is evident that with careful use, they can last long. I don't think I'll buy another phone for additional 2 years.
      If you really want to connect to the internet world all the time, then just buy a laptop or a second cellphone to use when your phone is charging.

      I know you never said anything about using the phone while charging. I am just presenting evidence as to why turning on airplane mode is great when charging. Why would I lie to myself? Why would I even lie to you!? Just to prove you wrong? No, that is not my intention. I just find it ridiculous how you are so close-minded that even when given evidence, you still stubbornly deny my argument.

    Have been using the Redmi 9T for two weeks now. So far so good. Performance is adequate. Battery life is spectacular. Take a while to fully charge the battery but then it's 6000mAh so it is expected. Excellent WiFi performance since it has dual band support. Not sure if it supports LTE-A though. Photo captures could be a little bit sharper. A good phone if you're more into social media, web browsing and streaming. If you're into gaming, look elsewhere.

    Redmi 9T is in a weird position on the redmi brandl line up. It was launched a few weeks ago at $160 to $180, for an additional $20 to $40, you can get the note 10. The note 10 has an amoled screen, a slightly faster processor, good camera and faster charging for a small additional price. They have to readjust the price of the 9t to $130 to $150 to be able to sell more.

    • @sycamorph
      @sycamorph 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Here the difference between 9 (with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM) and 10S (with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM) is $80. Which is huge, definitely more than I'd pay for a bit of extra perfomance and more RAM because I don't use my phone for gaming. But maybe it's because 4 months passed since your comment.
      P.S. My previous phone had 2GB RAM, I'm waiting for the 9 to arrive. Since 2GB was enough for me, I think 4GB instead of 6GB will be fine.

    I've found that in low light conditions that when I press on the spot I want the camera to focus on it self adjusts to make the picture better. I started doing this with my LG phones and I also have Umidigi and Motorola phones and it works great. I really have to do it on near objects with the Umidigi F1 to make it focus properly. Within the past couple of weeks I came across a video that shows how to turn off those ads...

    I've owned a Redmi 9T for over a year now, and I'm not happy with how this phone has functioned. Frequent issues with ghost touches, the screen freezing and becoming unresponsive, and two of the covers of the camera lenses have fallen off. The NFC is often glitchy or unresponsive, and this phone also seems to have issues connecting to certain Bluetooth devices. I previously owned a Huawei Honor 8X and I was far more pleased with its performance. I can forgive poor camera performance but the issues I've mentioned are unforgivable, and I would therefore not recommend this phone to anyone.

      @@Kostandino1978 It's kinda ok, to be honest. Yes it has 4/64Gb storage, and a bit bigger battery capacity than your Motorola but even though it comes with a "fast charging" mode, it still takes a while for it to top off at least two hours or so. Also, it's like Poco X3, just a bit better. Same camera configuration except for the 48m Camera and not much ads.

    I've just bought a Poco M3 128GB version for my mother and now I'm waiting it to be delivered. The wide camera is shit on low budget phones so the one on the Redmi 9T does not justify the extra $$$, the only thing better is it has nfc for people that use it. I choose this one for my mother cuzz she needs a phone with a big screen so she can read better and watch youtube, big battery for endurance and good speakers so she can hear when someone calls and also she likes to listen to music.
    But I recommend this phone only to non-demanding users that don't need any extra features, the best overall phones under 200€ are the Poco X3 and Redmi Note 9T, also the new Redmi Note 10 is good but the only thing better on this phone is the Amoled screen - everything else is worse.
    PS: I saw crazy deals right now on aliexpress for Poco X3 Pro, it goes for 200€!!!
