    I used to have a really bad skin (acne won’t stop coming, and a lot of them!) and I have sensitive, oily skin too. What really changed it was when I used paula’s choice exfoliating (liquid, like a toner), and omg until this day I can’t believe my skin would improve so much, it fades dark acne spots, brighten my dull skin, etc.

    Wow your skin looks so much brighter and more glowy. I can't wait to see what products you use. I've been slack on skincare lately, so this video motivated me to get some decent products and get back into skincare

      Yeah it looked so much better! Definitely trying to stick to a more strict routine helped my skin!

    It didn’t work for me. I think if your skin is super sensitive like mine. It’s just too much product overload for my skin :[

      sweetiramisu21 I recommend watching Wishtrend. They have a bunch of tips for sensitive skin and they have product recommendations too :) I think it just depends on which type of products you are using and how your skin reacts to them. I have sensitive skin too and I realized I was using the wrong products, now my skin is a lot better :)

      @seoulologyy 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      sweetiramisu21 I also have sensitive with eczema skin. I think being very selective with the products and doing extra research in your skin type helps. The 10 step has worked for me but hasn't started showing until 3months in. Definitely different for everyone. All the best on your skincare journey.

      I have really dry sensitive skin, I use 10step, pyuang yul essence tonner layering has saved my skin so much, the only thing from their line that hasn't worked for me is the cleanser in the blue tube it was too drying. I find getting samples from friends or free to try to see if it reacts helps, or watching youtube if you can read Korean where people talk about what ingredints are in products

      Heide Soper I agree! I recommend watching Liahyoo or Ivan Lam bc she explains ingredients in detail :)

    • @ShelleyNayak
      @ShelleyNayak 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      sweetiramisu21 Yes you are right! It depends on one's skin and products used together. 10 steps has worked for me onetime and other times it didn't.

    I love using essences on my face, it has totally changed my skincare routine forever. I love the HERA cell essence, definitely on the $$ side but worth every cent! Your skin looks amazing Kim 💕

    Awesome improvement! Personally, after years of wasting money everywhere, what works best for my acne is Bactene as a toner. It's a first aid spray that's antiseptic and it's about $10 or less at any drugstore. Oh. My. Goodness. Acne completely gone. I feel like an idiot for spending so much money on acne products when a dumb first aid spray of all things worked. I also use GlamGlow products for moisturizer though, which are expensive. I'm so happy for you Kim! Your tone is SO much better/more even and... did your undereye area lighten too???

    My 10 step routine :
    1) innisfree olive oil cleanser
    2) Avene soapless cleanser
    3) innisfree jeju toner
    4) body shop Drops of youth serum
    5) body shop oils of life facial oil
    6) kiehls avocado eye cream
    7) laneige lip balm
    8) Hada labo sheet mask
    9) Body Shop oils of life face cream
    Then twice a week, I would swap step 2 (cleansing step) with this:
    2.1)St Ives Apricot face scrub for blemished skin (2% salicylic acid)
    2.2) body shop himalayan charchoal face mask
    2.3) biore blackheads nose peel
    Then continue as per usual. So if I do a scrub/mask routine, so as not to irritate my skin I would skip face wash. Its working really well for me. The 10 step routine should be customised to what works for you, doent have to be a strict regiment one suit all. Its extensive but helps me unwind from a stressful day at work and its super relaxing and gratifying.

    The same problem as mine. I live in Philippines before I decided to move in Japan. And i have a pretty skin back then but my skin became sensitive, dry and crazy here in Japan. I got acnes and I use Korean skincare as well but it's still not enough. I'm using toner, essence,serum and moisturizer. And even use spot treatment for my pimples. And I've been using vitamin c since I started using Korean skincare. Oh by the way I have pimples on my forehead and cheeks. Too bad for me.

  • @sheikahchic
    @sheikahchic 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't do a solid 10 step, as of yet. But I do double cleanse, and use an exfoliant with vitamin C twice a week, and I do face masks(and lip masks), quite often. I have combination skin, so I have to pay attention to what my skin is doing on any given day, to decide if I use essence or toner, and which face mask to grab. I need to get a serum, but haven't found one I like yet. I need to go get some more samples from Sephora. XD

    I have a dry skin and I use any kind of products that I have at home. Currently Im using snail(?) moisturiser and The Face Shop toner, and their emulsion but when I use them my skin tends to dry faster like a desert. I drink lots of water though

    I went to Seoul and bought the Innisfree Green Tea fresh line and just started using it and for now I can say that I love it as my skin feels moisturised and I don’t have the dry patches around my mouth due to me not bringing moisturiser when I went to Taiwan in 2015 and thus having it..but the smell is amazing and I think it suits my skin type as Singapore is so humid💕
    Love your videos as always and am always excited to see a new video from both of your channels!!😍

    I've been trying to do the Korean skincare routine, but my skin is so sensitive that I'm not sure if I can continue it. 😞 I've been getting frequent breakouts and it feels like I have a sunburn after using the toner and essence. 😐 I got the combination skincare routine, so hopefully that's all it is. I'm gonna try and swap out different products and see if that helps. Glad yours worked for you! Your skin looks amazing!! 😊👌🏽

    • @kimdao
      @kimdao  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ohh if you are getting frequent break outs you should change the skincare you are using, it might be causing it. It took me a while to find the right products for me so hope you find the right ones for you too

      @brie.907 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have super sensitive skin and I've switched to products that are calming or healing for sensitive skin and that has been working a lot better for me. Sometimes a full routine may be too much overload on your skin too. It just takes time figuring out the perfect amount of products you need for your routines, but you'll get there. I will say there are a lot of products coming out in Korean skincare for sensitive skin so there's a lot to choose and pick from, but the ones I've been using are really working for me :)

    • @brie.907
      @brie.907 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Candy C thank you so much for the advice!! :) I think my skin does like the "smaller" routines instead. And the great thing about Korean skincare is that my skin will react, but will be nowhere near as bad as it would be if I used a product from like Neutrogena or something. Thank you again for the advice, I'll definitely be looking into smaller ones. :)

    • @ilovetoomanythings
      @ilovetoomanythings 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your routine is not incorrect because everybody's routine is different! :) In fact, most people use an essence rather than an emulsion as far as I know. Emulsion to me is somewhat like a moisturiser but of a thinner consistency.
