    I came her from the $6814 in a week video, and to be honest , it was the first time I heard 'factor stacking' used. I Google'd it and was led here. You gained another subscriber because of it. Love your on screen presence and delivery. Its like getting advice from a friend, keep it up.

    Have you ever been to a football game and the cheerleaders cheer “let’s go Tigers!” Clap-clap-clap clap clap? I have found myself saying “Fac-tor Stack-ing!” when sourcing to remind myself all the things I need to consider. Just because it’s a solid brand does it have factors? Just because it’s a lesser brand, does it have factors? You guys are great! Thanks for all you do!

    These are the types of videos I wish more resellers made more frequently instead of hyping up certain brands, bolos, or specific items. There's one Goodwill where the main pricer watches YT videos and just marks up any brand she hears youtubers mention - it's glaringly obvious. The funny thing is that those items just sit and sit, until they go to 50% off or to the bins. Because the thing thrift store pricers don't seem to get is that you can add more of a markup on a premium item only when your buyer can immediately go to your item and hit "buy". These insane thrift store manager/pricers are counting on the totally random chance that a very specific person is going to come into their store needing a very specific size and looking for that very specific thing - in their mind the item has "greater value" because a reseller said it sells well online, but that does NOT translate to it selling well off the rack in a thrift. So they pointlessly mark it up thinking it has some inherent value.
    And on the reseller side, the amount of people who see a brand mentioned on a video and just pick it up mindlessly, without understanding how to gauge the demand on their own.... I mean, not everyone has the aptitude to do more than that, but still, everyone can at least try to learn.
    Videos that teach people the realistic mental tools of how to work your own specific area and niche and not just operate like a sheep, are what we need more of. Way to go Cayley.

      @cayleyelaine  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ugh I always wondered if goodwill watched reseller videos.

    • @helpfulcommenter

      i think it depends on the store and the region and the person doing the pricing - there's no standardization across Goodwills even within a region when it comes to pricing it seems @@cayleyelaine

    Thank you! I realize that I am already doing this with some items, but you have opened my eyes to not write off a brand altogether (which I have 😅). Also, I appreciate you going over the sell-through rate. That was a question I had and have previous video of yours a couple months back, that didn't get answered. Omg I have those exact brown chunky lace up Skechers that were listed at $129 but accepted an offer! I got them at my local bins yesterday! I've been picking up a ton of chunky Skechers there, the other resellers don't want them for some reason. They typically sell within a few days for $60+, but I'm so excited that I these are worth $100... I was actually going to keeo them since they fit me, and I hadn't looked at comps for this style yet, so I was thinking they would only be worth $70ish. They're from 2010 btw, so not exactly Y2K, and also why I didn't think they'd be worth that much. As much as I like them, I like fast $100 flips more... so looks like I'll be listing them after all 🥲

      Your reseller content is among the best on TH-cam and, as an older guy, I have learned so much about sourcing women’s clothing for our store. Learning the keyword lingo has been particularly helpful! The one thing I’m not really clear on is a phrase you use fairly often - can you explain the Y2K Aesthetic? Thanks and please keep your great content coming!

      @joegianfalla1958 hi! It refers to the styles and trends that people wore in the 2000s. I would Google y2k fashion and scroll through Google images to get a good idea.

    Is a way to understand sell through rate that 15k are sold, 60k are available, so there's probably about four Talbots items out there competing for every potential buyer? Whereas for the Aerie leggings you mentioned, there are zero per potential buyer?
