Glad to hear from you Mick and happy to know things are looking up in the UK. We have a no dining out restriction at the moment and just hoping things will get better once September comes along. More of us would be fully vaccinated and perhaps some life will come back to the streets

Haha. Maybe in the future the tourism board may reach out to me to do some projects. Who knows? 😉 Yeah using the Relive app provides alot of context for these videos. Gives viewers a sense of where they are. Would definitely be useful as a opener for your hiking videos

Scotland had just over 1300 positive cases yesterday alone (that's just the ones that go and get tested) 🤦♀️ but we are pretty much back to normal (only wearing masks in malls, supermarkets etc) 🤷♀️ I dont know if that's a good or bad thing. It seems the vaccines are doing what they should be doing 🙏
@@mfkeir227 Yeah the vaccines are working as intended (which is to keep us out of the ICU). We do have a couple of fully vaccinated individuals that still need oxygen but they are other health conditions as well. Cross fingers everyone will be okay. Mask wearing will definitely be here to stay for quite sometime to come. Our government just announced a road map for us so by September when we have 80% fully vaccinated we can start reopening our borders
Wonderful walk Alan :) But do stay at max 4k resolution. 8K is an technical overkill increasing recording file size dramatically, slower copy/editing/rendering and hardly any screens can show it anyway. 4K looks gorgeous on 3840x2160 screens and TVS. Beyond that, the extra resolution is really waisted for 99,9% of viewers. To a lesser extend 4K as well.
I hear you and those are very valid points. That said, I have the tech to render it and if I can future proof it to be watchable 10 to 20 years down the road, I think it's a effort worth doing. Hope video quality is satisfactory for you 😉

Fully vaccinated will be able to dine in groups of 5 from 10th August. I don't know the full details as yet. The news just came out a moment ago. The population is 67% fully vaccinated and is on track to be 80% fully vaccinated by September. I think we will be opening up the country not long after that.

One of the conditions our government has is the country has to have high vaccination rate and a "controllable" case count (meaning the hospitals are not packed with covid cases etc). Our situation here is also changing by the day. We have a big jump in cases now that we decided to release some restrictions. Not sure if our hospitals will be packed with cases. Cross fingers the vaccines work as intended and would prevent us from needing to go to the hospital

Writing a script and speaking is not my forte nor does it bring joy to me. I just enjoy holding a camera, filming and recording the ambient sounds. At the moment no, we only have travel corridors with Germany and Brunei. No need to quarantine upon entry and return for these 2 countries
