Hey Jaimie, I keep a survival duffel in my truck with extra leads, dog treats, water, bowl, towels etc. Whenever I see a stray dog, I'm better equipped for a successful rescue. Would be handy for days you forget Sherpa's kit too.

Excellent idea. At the very least, make a "travelead"/"traveleash" a permanent part of your vehicle.
Take an extra large towel for protecting Sherpa's bed and the jeep bed from wetness and a plastic bin to toss wet towels in.
I was going to suggest that you keep an leash, small umbrella, 2 raincoats, water in that cubby hole at the back of the jeep, under the floor. Or at least as much as you can fit in it that way if you need it it's there. @@SherpasDay

This Jeep was definitely meant to be yours, boys. Sherpa looks every bit as comfortable and content in the hatch as he does in his garden. Being able to turn around and get settled has got to be an ahhh moment for him every time. Looked like Key enjoyed it, too. And Sherpa's voice and legs - wow, what a difference! His quality of life has absolutely been restored and upgraded. He just glows, and so do you, Jamie. Cheers, boys! 💖

Was beautiful, though. We often went to the beach with our 3 alsations + a border collie + marveled at the color of the sea! Good memories! Now, I'm alone in Canada on our farm,with our border collie 'Megan', 2 cats 'Midnight' ( because she is black ) + 'Poopsy' + 'Tony' our Llama. My husband passed 5 years ago . I am still a Brit in exile.

I am a senior citizen now, lived in Canada for 25 years, and lots of people ask me why I don't move in the town, but I can't give up my animals, and put them trough this feeling of abandonment in an animal shelter! So, as long as I can and God willing, I will stay put!

Sherpa is a beautiful dog. You do it right . Malamutes need to be out and about, not sitting cooped up inside! 👍 Some people do that. Watch your videos frequently.

Hi Jamie & Sherpie!! You commented that you like to keep your vehicles full of fuel when you can. That's a great feame of mind, dear-heart. My late step-dad always told us kids to not let our vehicles go below the half mark. By keeping to that it kept the engine from drawing up any type of particles, sludge, etc from the fuel tank. Therefore helping prevent unnecessary engine repairs. 😊
That's exactly what I do too.. half way means empty to me haha
It’s always a good idea to keep your tank as full as possible.Not just to prevent particles from the tank from being sucked up, but also topping up, you can do it at stations with cheaper fuel.I’ve been doing so for many years and have saved money. Even a few litres ( I’m in Australia), can save a bit each time, and that means more treats for Sherpa.

I've always kept mine at full or close to it, weekly i do not let it go down below a quarter of a tank,, if i do a longer trip i do fuel up even if i have a half a tank, you never know what delays may happen and etc.. Also by keeping it almost full all the time if some emergency arises where i have to go someplace ,fueling up will never be a worry while doing so.

Allow me to speak for Sherpa, “thank God you at least remembered the treats.” The excitement of a new car can make you lose your head a bit. I don’t think any new cars have CD players any more. So many buttons and gadgets, but no CD. That rainbow seemed to end right at the edge of your garden. Your home is so magical I expect unicorns to come galloping by at any moment.❤🌈
Two things: First I notice that Sherpa seems to be more confident in coming up the steps into the house.
Secondly, Sherpa looked like a Lord when he was lying down looking through the front seats.

My heart goes out to you, Lori. It's so hard to lose them. We feel we are on borrowed time with our Bentley-boy. He's a Keeshond & he's 14 yrs old. It's rather rare that their lifespan extends past 14 yrs old. It's going to be so hard because we've been owned by this breed since 1991. Generally at least 2 or 3 of them at a time. However, we've decided to not have anymore dogs after Bentley makes his journey to the Rainbow Bridge. Being that social security is our only income now we can't afford to board them when we travel to see our kids, grandkids, & great-grandkids. The closest ones are our son & his son who are 6.5 hrs away in Tennessee. Our daughter & her family live 12+ hrs away in Indiana.

@@CravNCraftN I know how you feel about your fur baby. I lost my golden retriever 17 years ago and I still cry almost every day. I’d love to have another dog, but like you I’m on social security and I just don’t have the money to properly care for a dog. I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and let me know if you need to talk. Sometimes it helps to talk to others that understand what you’re going through. Btw, I live in Knoxville TN. Jamie: Get a USB stick and download your cD's on it through your laptop. Then you can use the stick to listen to your music. My hubby has over 200 hours on his.

It sounds like my parents and I with our new car only to find out that it doesn't have a CD player. So we end up listen to satellite radio. We got so spoiled by our old car since it did have a CD player. With any new car, check your Jeep manual about your wipers .

You need to fill a gym bag filled with all of the walk stuff to take, and put it right by the door. Then you just have to grab and go. Make sure that the water bottle is sticking out of it so you know that you need to fill it up before you leave.

you need a covering added to the house going out over the wooden deck area so you/Sherpa can go outside when it's raining and stay dry.
You can purchase a removable cover for the back of the jeep. An extra layer of protection from water and mud.

Jamie, maybe you should buy an extra lead, treats & umbrella to keep in your Jeep in case that happens again in the future. That way you'll always be prepared in the future! Just an idea for you. I feel your pain with all the endless rain we’ve had. Our boy constantly gets wet and muddy on his tummy and legs/paws every day🙈 Today was the first dry sunny day and we took him for a lovely long beach walk 🤣

Hahahaha re the CD player, I did exactly the same when we got our new car, sat in there all excited waiting to hear my music and how the stereo sounded, CD in hand trying to put it in a nonexistent slot! Took a day to realise there wasn't one 😂😂😂 glad the lead solution worked out, very handy! My new car didn’t have a CD player in either! I bought a portable car CD player from Amazon. Just plugs into the USB port & plays through your cars media system. Brilliant. I really do love your new Jeep. The best choice for Sherpa. 👍❤️🖖🐾

No CD players in cars now, unless Europe is different. My car is now 10 years old and has an AM/FM/Sirius Radio. Have to pay for Sirius, of course. Cars now have USB ports. Most people use their phones, plug into the ports and listen to playlists they have…. Sherpa is a sweetheart. Much love to that beautiful pup.❤. Enjoy your channel and the car rides. The adventure continues!
I live near Seattle, Washington state & if I had to wait on the rain, nothing would ever get done!😂 It is nice to have dry days now & again; yard work & poop patrol! We have two dogs, a tiny terrier & a blue heeler. Both are quite young. Whisky, the terrier doesn’t mind the rain but Bucky does. They both love snow though.
We keep towels, extra lead & water/food bowls. I have a lot of hospital blankets so keep a few in the car. Keep extra jackets for us as well.
Sherpa would be happy to ride around in the car all day he is really comfortable in it isn’t he?

So happy for you and Sherpa and your new roomy zooomie keep. He looks comfy and happy. Pack Sherpa a go bag with things you might need. Towel to dry off with, an umbrella for the wet talkies, and you have your hidden snack storage. And throw a change of clothes for you so you don’t have to live in the wet until you get home. In winter keep the bag filled with basics like that. I’d purchase a lead to stay in the snack hide. Then you won’t be without.

CD players aren’t being put in newer vehicles now. CDs are going out just like cassettes did. Sad…makes me feel old! ☺️🤭
I had a jeep for my four legged friend, too. You can buy a small-ish area rug (4 ft x 6 ft) that covers the entire back section that will be more comfortable for Sherpa-easier for him to move around and it keeps it cleaner. Works great

Didn't the Jeep come with an owner's manual? I believe that I saw the intermittent windshield wiper when you showed it. Possibly turn the end of the nob for that function. I believe you can also go online for the owner's manual or just TH-cam it for what you are looking for. 😊
Hello Sherpa and Jamie. I watch your videos everyday. You did the right thing by buying the Jeep, As Sherpa seems happy and comfortable. As far as the Jeep not having a CD player, in the US, CD players are an option that you have to request now and possibly pay for. There's not much use for cd players anymore. I hope you can find a solution so that Sherpa can get into the Jeep by himself. You too have a wonderful day, and look forward to watching your next video.
