I need to speak about this, the last season of Bake Off Argentina was FULL of controversy. Two weeks before the grand finale TWITTER discovered that the frontrunner up to that point was a PROFESIONAL baker and made it to TV and all of that, after everybody started digging into this girl's life, they found out she actually KILLED A MAN on a hit & run, thus, they were hating on her harder and harder. A week before the finale, it was leaked that Samanta (the hit & run girl) won the competition and Twitter was not having it so they made the producers REDO the finale to make the other guy the winner. Basically, Argentinian Twitter changed a winner from Bake Off.

im an american and the real house wives melbourne was the first real housewives ive ever seen, and you are so right. that show is beyond iconic not a single other version compares.
okay, if we're gonna talk about australian versions superior to the original, does anyone remember "beauty and the geek"? i remember watching really shitty youtube uploads of the british and aussie versions in middle school but the australian one was always the wildest. it'd be a really good subject for the deep dive/analysis series because in hindsight it's just... so, so much. basically it was a house full of stereotypical "dumb blonde"/"bimbo" type women and socially awkward/"unattractive" (which was usually bs lmao) nerdy guys and they'd get paired up w each other, the idea being that the girls would help the guys find confidence and the guys would help the girls learn things. they also of course had makeover episodes for the guys who made it far enough and that was by far the best part of the show. there's just so much there to talk about and NOBODY ever mentions it
OH MAN, this bought back so many memories. I used to FROTH Beauty and the Geek. Was so sad when it didn't make a comeback

We had that show in Germany too and it definitely was ... something lol The producers kept sabotaging the nerds so that they appeared even more awkward and it was just too much cringe for me to watch
One time I got grounded during the Beauty and the Geek finale and I was so upset I couldn't watch it, so I begged my mom to tell me who won. Then the guy I wanted to win lost. I was livid.
I miss the its christmas lets go home. it makes me feel incomplete not hearing him say that. I needed the constant reminder, because how would i know what it was, or where I was meant to go? Michael guided me by telling me, that it was Christmas, and we should go home. but now, the days pass by in a blur, full of confusion.

so late to this video but i highly recommend watching Korean reality show "the genius" for its incredible storylines and clever, original games that pit a bunch of the smartest people and celebrities against each other in a battle of wits and social skills. it's so highly addictive and i've never seen anything like it. basically an elevated, constantly evolving, among us-esque game that really does deserve more attention. selling sunset is also pretty darn good with all the drama between the realtors! bonus is getting to see huge mansions

Just found your channel and ahh, the reality tv content I've always needed. I would be so happy if you ever did a reaction series to Ainori Love Wagon- my FAVOURITE super low budget Japanese dating/travel show of all time. Beats Terrace House for sure.
The premise: Put a bunch of slightly strange but mostly normal people on a bus and make them travel through foreign lands with BARELY any money to get by, make them go on dates, and give them all quirky nicknames while you're at it. Intercut with serious learning segments about whatever country they're travelling in. Occasionally someone declares their love in the most dramatic way, to find out if they'll be rejected or return to Japan with a new partner. Iconic. I love it.
Honestly, , a big colossal brain like Mike's mic watching reality TV allows me to feel less guilty about my guilty pleasures 😭
