    The 9.7 spec pisses me off so much, not even performance level fork for that money is completely absurd... but it does seem like an excellent option as a self shuttle rig

      Bro its a top of the line Trek ebike on release. What do you expect. You will always pay more Trek because the brand name, local store support, lifetime guarantee and list goes on. Also this is not an ordinary bike. Its the legendary Slash. The name itself costs more.
      I own gen 5 slash high end model and high end gen 4 rail. Both excellent bikes. Did i pay more for the brand? probably. But you get the flashiest bikes out there-
      I cant even count how many times people have complimented the looks of the bikes. Compared to other bikes Treks bikes are very flashy. Its kinda like lamborghini of bikes.
      My slash cost about 9000 dollar. I could get same specs on other brands probably 1000-2000 dollar less. But is 1000 dollar extra worth to get sick looking bike? i say yes. Also those bikes are well thought and very good quality

    Thanks You for the review. I am actually selling my analog spectral 125 and thinking about buying light emtb. Maybe I stay with canyon, but seriously Thinking about trek's fuel exe or slash+ as it comes in a mullet. I don't have perfect technique and i really feel my actuall 140/125mm of travel is enough, so the bike could be lighter. Just give me your opinion, can you compare TQ to the bosch sx motor?

    • @GabrielRancourtCycling
      @GabrielRancourtCycling  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven’t tried the Bosch SX motor yet, but that would make for a great video comparing the TQ to the Bosch SX! What I can say is that with the Slash +, compared to the Fuel EXe, you go from a 360 WH battery to 580 WH-that’s like having an extender on the Fuel EXe but built into the bike. Plus, you can upgrade the Slash + to a 740 WH setup with an extender! You get the high pivot, mullet setup, and more travel right out of the box. It’s a bike that can do it all!

    The thing is those if you are going to spend that type of money a lot of people will normally change the pedals the handlebar the forks the saddle to exactly how they like it for downhill or there style of riding so it's going to very expensive

    no noise is absolutely a plus of TQ maybe it'll keep it's advantage maybe not new bosch Cx gen announced oct 1st or around that, I like the chain thing Trek did, salutations francophones ;) don't know any other bike that powers the X0 derailleur with the battery that's smart, my 2017 muscular mtb had SLX brakes I changed the discs to Shimano Deore XT RT-MT800 with the cooling "wings" and the brake pads with the cooling fins Shimano J03A and no problem even for my 100Kgs 220lbs

      On my fuel exe in turbo I do 850m of climbing (thats about 20-25km here in Bromont, Quebec).
      The slash has a bigger battery but is heavier so wasnt sure if it could really climb more.... 1000m is cool. 👍

    You can barely hear the motor cause you're riding it downhill. Ride that thing with 25% incline!
