      I think he did what he had to do under the circumstances. There was no real graceful way out. Even the woman who was in the photo said she forgave him and he didn’t need to step down. But Democrats had been arguing for moral high ground and it was just the timing of the scandal.

    I did feel like I was the only person who knew what a genius I'd found and how well read, well spoken and well adjusted his views on politics were.
    How wonderful to see him moving up. And CNN and MSNBC can each take a knee in silence and pass the torch to someone younger, more fearless and more determined to ask FOLLOW UP questions of our duplicitous, insidious, and smug elected officials in Washington today.

    • @smilingfox8978
      @smilingfox8978 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @kineahora8736 Not that it warrants a lot of detail, but it was right after trump became president during the height of the "me too" movement. Some women made allegations that he had kissed or groped them, and then the icing on the cake was a picture that surface from his comedian days which was taken where he posed like he was going to grab a woman's chest as a joke, but because she was sleeping it was considered as an unwanted advance because it was apoarent she was not consenting to the joke. He resigned without a fight at the request of fellow senators, many of whom now regret forcing the issue and have publicly stated that a hearing should have been held to give him due process. I don't think I have to go into all the stuff that trump has said and done. I will just say: access Hollywood tape, E Jean Carol, stormy Daniels, Karen McDougal, Epsteins' Jet, convicted felon, tax evasion and business fraud, classified document theft, inciting an insurrection.

      @kineahora8736 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@smilingfox8978 yes why would you go into all of the Trump nonsense as if you need to convince me of that?🙄 the point of my comment was that I didn’t remember what it was that Franken had done and you have reminded me thank you- basically nothing as I thought. Stuff in the context of comedy, and a few unsupported allegations.

    in texas aca nor medicare were never extended to the texas state citizens..........so i have no health insurance. at 74 years old woman, disabled, and total income $772.00 per month from social security, there was no way i could pay anything into any aca health insurance plan. knowing that my only option was death if i have health issues, i called every Texas state office asking what i could do. every office just said you dont qualify for anything---------same as any way below poverty level child, handicapped, elderly in the state of Texas. finally one man said if its a short term problema county hospital may "take pity" on you and help.

      I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. I know Texas refused to expand Medicaid but you should talk to someone about your Medicare. I know it is hard to advocate for yourself, maybe someone can help?

    I’ve been following Brian Tyler Cohen since he started on Facebook and I have to say that this was the first time I’ve heard him laugh and he’s got such an incredible laugh I would love to see or rather hear him laugh more often. Brian keep laughing because it is absolutely adorable.

    This is what I long for : interviews as such that voice opinions based on facts with truth enhanced by acute sense of humour.
    A great loss in government sorely missed Al Franklyn in close real debate with Brian Cohen, the up and coming young refreshing political critical thinker.
    I am thirsty of such intelligence, verb and passion such as this panel.
    Folks, you are illuminating hope in me.
    Thank you so much.
    Je vous remercie. 😊

    I have almost finished his book and it is a real eye opener as to rethug motivations. It is so interesting that I find myself underlining and making margin notes. Highly recommend. Start writing the next one, Brian!

    Regarding Perry Mason:
    According to Raymond, Burr, he lost three cases during the show, not only one. And while he was technically a defense lawyer, his defense is always consisted of identifying the real killer and getting him to confess. So Mason functioned as a prosecutor, even though he was hired as a defender.

    This chat is hysterical. It's the tortoise 🐢 and the hare 🐇 Brian is running 🏃‍♂️ lapses and occasionally skids to a stop, and there is silence 🔕 then Al begins slowly to speak, there are a few laughs, and then Brian fires 🔥 up his engine and is off to the races again! Brian is so intelligent and knowledgeable he struggles to get his mouth to keep up with his words!
    Great informative and funny talk 👄 👏 thanks boys.

    For years now I've said we need youth. Obama was young. Then 2 old guys, one of them with no clue about government. I'm an old guy who wants youth with knowledge imparted with wisdom from mentors.

    I just finished reading Live From New York regarding SNL. Lorne stated he wanted Franken to succeed him as executive producer when Lorne left in 1980. Lorne knew he was smart and funny. Instead nbc screwed up and gave it to Doumanion who was fired after 10 months.
    We need Al back in the senate!
