What I mean about attacks that can't be avoided is that in the 2nd form I read he has this rain of energy that you can't dodge, and the 3rd form that's only fought on hard and up randomly casts Grantz, which I read can't be dodged.
Was never able to defeat Dark Falz on Ultimate, but I wasn't Level 200 when I attempted it. Bravo! And those noobs that play it originally on GCN, this game was badass on DC as well without limitations.

In GC version they made that Immunity from Mags useless mostly, Hunters and Rangers can't cast Grants anymore. Rangers have only Depand while Hunters have Shifta, etc. etc... Little changes from DC to GC. ;)
Okay, this version looks much sharper and more graphical than the GC version that I have (Which I hear equates to PSO V3.) What platform are you playing this on? I mean, I love my GC version of the game, and I have a lv 81 hunter, but I made a huge mistake on it (He's PURPLENIUM, didn't realize that affects drops till just recently.) so I feel like restarting anyway. tks :)
You can avoid grants. When he fires the blue ball things, get hit by the last one then use resta. His grants won't hit you (but he'll most probably slash you).

Ah, Dark Falz, the boss where I got my most luckiest win in all my gaming years because of underlevels and unpreparedness... Took 3 hours through the ruins, wasted all my mates on him, used up TWENTY Scape Dolls... Was nearly dead, the last hit was all-or-nothing. So I used the Musashi special and, well, he luckily died. Awesome.

You can hunt more powerfull gear or improve the gameplay, for example shortly after this video i improved my boss runs by using red daggers and other techs during the fight, i could have done it here, but at 50hz while recording everything is slow, so the quick weapon switch wasn't something i was confortable with. Stat wise, no, the stats can't improve, in fact asside from HP and TP, the other stats were maxed a long time ago, probably at lvl 120.
Well i've reached a level where I can't use any power materials... i'm at level 109 now.. but below 100 I could still use those power materials.. I gained more than 10 levels above 99 and yet can't use any material.. if it was possible it would be better though.. killng them with 1 hit :-)
shifta, grants and trifluids are in the 2nd set, phonton blast must be used in order to make these available. Damage from phonton blast can be compensated with actual attacks, phonton blast takes time to cast and can be hard to time in order to do damage, missing the attack is likely The damage is beeing boosted by shifta and my weapons (yes, my favorite pb is affected by atp, as you noticed, i have alot of atp) but this is PSO v2 and the light resistance is high on this boss, even with all that power it's still weak, or better yet, i can do better with actual attacks. PB at this stage is an indrance and should simply be used so that it doesn't interfere with my grants casting, my trifluid, or my shifta usage. Using the PB also makes the PB bar go to 0, this means that if for some reason the fight lasts way to long, the PB bar may go to 100, that may trigger invincibility, this can never happen if the pb is already at 100, the sonner you use the PB, the sooner it will be back at 100. Wasting the PB is intentional ha........ha........ha

You have the right idea with using gun weapons against him. That's what I did when fighting him, except I used machine gun type weapons.

but they limited it on the gc and pc version to balance more the forces.

WOW Lv 200 that must have been alot of hard work I am still 79 I always thought the lv cap stopped at the usual 100.

It's on PSO v1 and PSO v2, humans have access to all tech up to lvl 15 (includes lvl 15 anti, status buffs or debuffs, grants and megid)
