I love pretty much every ice type except for jinx, vanilluxe and cryogonal. But my absolute favorite is weavile. He's also one of my favorite Pokemon.

That's like saying Toxic, Stealth Rocks, and Hail are also attacking moves.
Yes, it deals damage... but it's not an attacking move like Leaf Blade or Giga Drain.

QOTD: My favorite Ice type mon is all of them
My only problem is that most of them are made to be what I call Glass Glaciers (high attack power, but low speed and defenses). What really makes it worse is that most of them are found late game, and Ice is one of the rarer types (alongside dragons). Usually I wouldn't mind this...but they appear so late in the game that things like that can *really* make or break the mon. Now IMO, Ice should also resist Normal, Grass, Flying, Bug, Ground, Water, and Dragon. They also should get more benefits from Hail (such as increased power to Ice Type moves, slowing down all non Ice type mons, and reduced damage from Water, Flying, and Dragon type moves in the hail). What also should be done is make more Ice type pokemon like Mamoswine (Mighty Glaciers) or Weavile (Glass Cannon/Fragile Speedster hybrid). Come to think of it, they should've done all of this in Gen 4.
But if Game Freak is going to insist on making them slow, they should at least buff hail to give Ice types a "Aurora Veil" effect for as long as the hail lasts (or at least make hail slow down all non Ice types) as well as the added resistances. Story wise, Ice types and Dragon types are usually pretty rare, making them more "mysterious" in that regard. I figure that Ice Types should be the "defensive" to the Dragon type's "offensive". They tried it with Steel types, but that failed since most Dragon types can learn Earthquake or Fire Blast. What really doesn't help there is that most Steel types have a low base HP stat. So if Ice got a defensive buff (not to the extent of Steel Type defenses, just enough to be notably better) it would help.
