- Manchester is a city in North West England, located 257 km northwest of England's capital London.
Manchester is famous for being the first industrialized city in the world, but also for its football clubs - Manchester United and Manchester City.
The city centre of Manchester is on the east bank of the River Irwell, near its confluences with the Rivers Medlock and Irk.
In the 21st century, Manchester has been transformed into a cultural, digital and creative capital in the UK, thanks to extensive funding from both the public and private sectors.
The main tourist attractions are Old Trafford Stadium, Etihad Stadium, National Football Museum, Chetham's Library, Castlefield, Manchester Cathedral, Chinatown and Heaton Park.

John Ryland's Library also a gem on Deansgate. Theatres, arenas , Gay Village ,Curry Mile,Northern Quarter, Ancoats, the universities...List goes on and on..

You didn't mention that Salford is also a city and that Greater Manchester is made up of 10 boroughs, there's lots more to see than you showed on here
Salford is in Manchester for all intents and purposes. Nobody cares who empties the bins

Greater Manchester is not made up of 10 borough's, they are independent Towns and Cities with their own Councils, Mayors, schools and Locl Council facilities that are with in the Greater Manchester Metropolitan Area, all Greater Manchester does is look after Transport, Police, Fire, Ambulance and businesses in the area

This makes the City of Birmingham the second largest City in the UK both in population size, area and the size of it''s City Council Glasgow is number3 and Liverpool number4

This isn’t correct, as noted greater Manchester is the largest continuous urban area after Greater London. Liverpool is also smaller than Manchester, very easy to find this data via Census, ONS, Eurostat etc.
@@peterwilliamallen1063 you know nothing where's Leeds, Leeds is bigger than Glasgow and Liverpool you mentioned, and Manchester is now viewing as bigger than every city except London

You make it look like a beautiful place to live but trust me after 33 years of living here it has gone down hill now and is a shit hole... granted some decent places in manchester but need some work... like drugs need to be cracked down on and gang crimes
