Shelton Benjamin is by far my favorite ladder match competitor. obviously huge props to the hardies, dudleys, edge and christian for being the OGs but everything Shelton did in those matches was insane. wish wwe would give him a huge push, he deserves it
The spot where ric flair gets thrown into the corner turnbuckle, flips over, then runs to the other turnbuckle, climbs it...and then he actually connects an axe handle into Shawn. This is the only time I personally have ever seen this move work in Ric’s favor😂

Next Retro: Ultima Lucha (1) Great matches excellent build up to them. One of the most violent matches of that era in Penta vs Vampiro. It's just different from WWE and WcW. Also Angelico's Dive is breathtaking
I was 9 years and this was the first ever pay per view I ever saw. I was already hooked on wrestling, but this blew me away and I haven’t looked back since. Thank you for reviewing this show! It may not be the best Wrestlemania, but it’s definitely one of my favorites
I was also at that WrestleMania. I can't believe I forgot about the whole celebrities involved, excluding Mayweather. Really glad that I went. Sat close enough to the entrance to feel the heat from Undertaker's entrance.
The Orton story reminds me of someone's book (Bobby Heenan) who was talking about some wrestlers who loved being heels because they could be total dicks to fans out in public and it was fine because they were technically staying in character.
Yeah lol, I could definitely see that being the case for quite a few different wrestlers who had some pretty major runs and pushes as heels. I'm sure some of them probably took advantage of that specific aspect of being a heel, but obviously it certainly did help to maintain the storylines and the whole atmosphere of the show etc. Either way though, seeing wrestlers who commit that much to their characters and to the role they play in the writing and the story and all that,is truly very refreshing to see and personally I can usually always tell the difference between performers who are actually genuinely committing to the show and the ones who are just going through the motions and not giving it their full energy and effort, ya know? It's definitely always so much better and more fun to watch when the wrestlers themselves are putting in that extra effort towards the show in order to do their best and create a fantastic show for everyone to see so that they can all walk away happy and satisfied after the show is done and over with, ya know? Sorry for the long rant, but ultimately my point is just that I wish every single wrestler would have that same level of passion and commitment towards the show and the whole sport overall in general. Obviously if that happened, then we would get a show which was so much more amazing and entertaining entirely and wrestling as a whole, would most likely have a pretty decent rise in popularity among the public and therefore gain quite a few more fans and hopefully they'd be able to keep up that level of entertainment in order to hold onto those new fans and rekindle the old ones interest in wrestling again, to the point where the company can hopefully get back to that same level of popularity and performance that they consistently had, most recently back in the late 90s and up through the early to mid 2000s before things started going south in general and the whole entire sport just about almost fell apart completely until they were lucky enough to make some of the right moves and get some new, young, and exceptionally talented wrestlers in the ring which definitely helped to revitalize the entire show overall and then also helped a lot with giving the majority of fans a reason to be excited again about wrestling and a reason to invest in the show again on a more serious level once they felt like the promotion was back in the right way that was actually worthy of their individual interest at all whatsoever to begin with, ya know?

What about Raw is War 04 January 1999 the show where Mick Foley won his first World Championship. It wasn't the highest rated show because Nitro was still good then but it was one of the most memorable.

Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, AJ Styles are cut from a different cloth, they excelled/excell at making other look like a million bucks whilst still looking great themselves.
