My sphincter tightened with excitement when I saw this. I like that you can *fudge* the controls to get the sound just how you like it.

Actually not a gimmick plugin!! Extremely impressive and I've been using it consistently on my mix bus
Tried it out before watching this and got a great result even though I didn't know what I was doing. I thought the right hand knob was output gain but it's Punch as I now learned.

All the best sounding plugins I know have parameters like these where your normally just cranking 1 or 2 knobs and already getting a great sound.

What if i tell you - it’s possible to achieve great low end when you have proper room, speakers and production instruments + knowledge how to use it all. So it’s not that easy as one plugin, but congrats on your own plugin, Streaky. You’ve become synonym for word “mastering”. Great job you’ve done through all these years!
My low end is now tightened beyond reason.

OK, this works. I'm producing very subby ambient jungle and this has really improved the mix, even though I thought I'd done everything I could with EQ, multiband compression and imaging. Approaching the end of the trial period so I've just bought it.
I can already do this with a few other plugins but I am going to buy it because it makes life SO much easier. WOW, I am impressed! Just running the demo now but I will be buying!
Eu testei e é muito bom. Fácil de usar. Não gostei de como funciona o iLok, eu tinha que abrir no mínimo 3x o projeto. Não sei se era só a versão de teste... Mas é um bom plugin.

Do you place that plugin before the limiter or afterwards? I tried it out and it sounds better when putting it afterwards, but of course it then starts clipping.
Does it come with a sphincter analyser?

How to understand that audio track is not oversaturated or overcompressed if you can't hear it exactly? When saturation is enough?
When I master my bass sounds too loud in my car if I get it right in headphones but too low when I get it right for the car. I’m guessing this might have to do with me trying to get the whole song sounding loud and perfect before I master and add compression? But I’m not sure I only been mixing for a year or so
How well does the plug-in for drum n bass?

Hi, awesome videos. Could you help us with an issue I'm having in regards to clarity and brightness, either when mixing or mastering. How bright should the instruments or the song be in itself. When trying to reference professional songs, some songs are super clear with a lot of brightness and other songs sound way to dry and this is all over in professional recordings from top artists. My question is, so how much brightness or clarity is enough. Should we shoot for a high clarity or just a dry master. My dilemma if it is what just sounds good, then reference songs seem not be so useful at the end of the day.
Looks like a good multi band compressor/expander under the hood. Am I right? 🙂
It’s a combination of a few different things I do to get the low end tight…hope you like the sound
@@Streaky_com I’m going to try it out and compare it with the other tools I use to tighten my low-end but it would replace 3 plugins and lots of MS fidgeting so I really hope it’s that good. 🙂👍. (If you say so and you put your name on it, it must be ✅). I’ll let you know in the comments later. Anyways, thanks a million for all these years of excellent work on TH-cam and through your academy. Streaky, every time I put the name in TH-cam a literally get videos of Tight Arse not related to the plugin! 🙂I think this might be more in line of the spl vitalizer mk3 Bass tight and loose nob. If it's anything near that you are golden!!

Oi!!!!! This is the reason many of us (Me!!) use someone like you! On TH-cam (and in my low budget studio) the bass difference is not massive but the space!! The Fu@#in* Space!! I will be testing this! And let me thank you for the help I have received from your channels!! Oh my.... I am working on a Latin rock song that has that clear, punchy bass line. It's a challenge to get the sound so it is and punches you in the gut. I am going to download and give this a try. Question for you: What if you send the bass & kick to a aux and put Tight Arse on that? maybe some compression? nothing like a tight ARSE

I just learned how to achieve a tight good low end without any plugins just by using EQ and some saturation but I think that this plugin will make it even better! Question tho, should I put this on my Kick&Bass group or just Bass group? Thanks

Hi. Looks like a great job, Streaky! But I've tried to obtain the 'trial' version on several occasions this week, but haven't received a link, sadly. (I've checked spam too!).
These plugins are huge timesavers! More focus can be on creativity. This would take 4 -5 plugins and fiddling for 20 min…

Having an issue with the trial version in logic pro, essentially "couldn't be opened" is the message within plugin manager, with an error code of 1,0xFFFFFFFF
Haven't seen this with any of my other plugins, my system meets the various requirements. Please help as I'd like to give this a fair shot.

either...I use it upfront befroe an EQ but on the mix buss will work if your happy with the balance but just want it tighter

@@Streaky_com Hi and yeah I have watched that video, so would I just basically apply the same principle to my kick & bass group buss, so I have my kick and my bass in one group together and the idea would be to get the kick sitting nicely with my bass ? sorry if I sound confusing !

The UI of the low control is terrible, not to mention the quality of the low end compression.
@@henriquedossantos6519 yeah I had mixed emotions about low control.. the more I use tightarse the more I'm enjoying it. Tucks bass guitar in nice and sweet.
@@AJoylessEon Just my opinion guys, when using a plugin, I need to feel 2 things, it's actually like real plugin in my DAW. And the sound quality delivers what it promises to do. This has a great interface look, and the compression is spot on calculated.

Would you still recommend buying sonarworks for bedroom producers? I have a little bit of acoustic panels on walls but cant do ceiling panels and bass traps so was thinking would sonarworks help in that ?
Just know the limitations of your reference space and keep them in mind. Check it on the headphones, too, especially for the bass imo.
I would recommend Sonarworks. Have used it for years now. Never have regretted it and never make a record without it.
Yeah defo worth having something…when I used to use it I only had it in about 75% as I found that sound nice (just sayin)
