only 1,000 pounds of ballast on a boat that size with a stern drive? you'd think they'd have more room since some 23 foot inboards are pushing 6k pounds
Noticed in this video and in several other channel’s videos that the electrical switch is set to ‘Emergency Parallel’ when the panel is shown. Is there a tour related reason?
We have always run our 2019 Chaparral 297SSX in parallel mode. It's not an Emergency Setting, it's a 1+2 COMBINED setting on the switches Chaparral installs. The alternator charges both batteries when in Combine. That is the way chaparral wires them. I only switch to battery 2 when we are sitting in a cove with the engine off listening to the radio so as not to drain the start battery.

The price of this is baffling to me, with how much more so many other boats that are half the price have.
