    Your losses are larger than your wins. You need to focus on risk to reward because you can still be profitbale with a 20% win rate

    I lost my funded 200k account after making 50k. That was a huge lesson for me as far as discipline and emotions in the market as well as overtrading. Currently working to get the funded accounts back after a few months of re-evaluation. I appreciate this video as seeing someone else who went through the same thing, good luck in the market's bro!🔥

    After losing my funded account the day before yesterday, I couldn't calm down. I made a very small mistake, which was not calculating the handling fee. As a result, the profitable account lost $9 due to daily loss. What an ironic experience. These past two days have been very frustrating. This is my first funded account, and I've only had it for less than a week.

    Almost 180 trades in 20 trading days and you THINK you were over trading? That’s 45 trades in a week. That is ridiculous.
    If you are losing ten, fifteen, even twenty trades it is time to step back, PAUSE, and REASSESS your strategy accordingly to current market conditions. Identify why trades went wrong and most importantly (most cannot do this)…. Step away from trading until market conditions favor your strategy again

    • @HawaiiTradingAcademy
      @HawaiiTradingAcademy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes I can agree. While the stats show, it didn't specify that I had multiple positions per trade so overall the amount of trades I took are less.

    • @jrvazbakerboy
      @jrvazbakerboy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ramvhaldhiramvhal8199 I’ll give you a perfect example:
      Trader John uses a pullback mean reversion strategy for swing trading. This means he waits for whichever instrument he is trading that it pulls back after an impulse move from a swing low/high to at least the 50% or 61.8% fibo on at least the H4. That’s is a condition he looks for when trading with the trend.
      Currently USDJPY has literally been on a parabolic move from 115 to 124 and then from 121 to current price. Market conditions are not in favor for his specific strategy. Trader John decides not to trade USDJPY and looks at other instruments.

    Love the video. Any REAL trader experienced this at some point in their journey. How i deal with this:
    Once funded, cut risk in half. 0.5% per trade is plenty. This will do wonders for you
    Stick to 1, 2, 3 assets ( i only trade 1 pair )
    Be more conservative… i take less then 170 trades in a whole year..

My biggest problem is the volume I use and temptation to trade every set up I see! I really have to work on this. Otherwise I know i will also lose the account.. but I hope to work on my emotions lot size and understand that making reasonable living from FTMO is good for long term.. I only need to make 3to 4 percentage every month also I think I should watch my greed sometimes he says ok let’s go for 50k 20k😂😂 lol. Na this time taking it slow and trying to build a habit. Common mistake I see a lot of people making with these prop firm accounts is treating the account like the stated size. If prop firm says your account is “x” ($100,000) size but your max allowed drawdown is “x-10” ($10,000) then your REAL account size is x-10!!!! ($10,000). So you were really losing almost 10% sometimes more than 20% of your REAL allotted account some days.
    Think about it for a second.

      Thats why am always telling people, those are big accounts if you risk just 0.5% of whole account and aim for 1:2RR....trust me with the ryt system u can never lose that account coz it wud take you 20 consecutive trades to lose it all...and no reasonable system can bring that...if u get 10 wins in a row and then 10 losses in a row...overall account is still up 5%

    I've seen someone who passed the challenge, passed verification and reached payment stage made good money, he always stick to his strategy no matter what. The next seasons have been painful for him it seems his strategy doesn't work anymore despite following it strickly. The moment we acknowledge these prop firms are rigged against us traders the better we approach the funding challenge with realistic expections. MFF stats is an eye opener it shows only 0.4 of traders are reaching the payment stage and they eventually loses their accounts as well. Lets trade with the hope we hit it big and invest in other business or open your own trading account but to dream of making it consistently (with prop firms) is lying to yourself.

      The ultimate goal is to fund your own account. However I disagree with the comment regarding prop firms being rigged against us. I know of people that have been with ftmo on the same account for years with steady gains. It is possible to keep an account for a long time.

      Prop firms rely on profitable traders to make them money.......they have no reason to "rig things" against us, but have strict rules that cant be violated to ensure it stays that way. Good on you Hawaii Trading Academy for being up front and honest, Trading isnt all rainbows and glitter, appreciate it mate, keep up the good fight and go again.

      Create a strategy with a high trading expectation/high profit factor/high win rate that will withstand changing market conditions. The "It's rigged", excuse of yours is sour grapes.

    you took almost 200 trades brother. Just maybe Just Maybe you might want to take less trades and better entry's, I currently have a 100k account and I take max a month about 15-25 trades and average about 15k-35k depending what pairs I'm trading also. Again No shade or disrespect to you but I hope this works out for you in the future

    You are sure to have a losing streak and then you can easily touch 10% drawdown. Prop firms are joke.
