He was not really interested in meeting anyone - too jaded from other girls and too shy. But he went. The “ woman “ and my son hit it off and after a couple of weeks, they started dating. He was 31 and she was 46. She has 2 younger children aged 8 and 10. And she also had an older daughter ( 21 ) from a first marriage. They have been together for over a year and are very happy. Ha! I’m 74 and was married for 24 years. He left me 35 years ago. It took me a few years to get over it all but then I tried dating. Nothing bad happened but nothing good either. Then I met the love of my life: my granddaughter, Karma Delilah! I became very involved with caring for her because her mom, my daughter had to work since she is a widow. I realized somewhere along the way that I had trusted my husband so much and he was my best friend and yet I had been deceived. I just didn’t want to ... actually I just could NOT ... trust again. Didn’t want to put myself out there. So I’m single and fine!
Besides having our name in common your story is very similar to mine in more ways than 1. I have two beautiful granddaughters. I have been divorced now for 5 years. All though I do get extremely lonely at times and COVID doesn’t help. I am happy now. 😊

I was sick at first, my heart was breaking for I love her so very much. I have written her, called and texted. She did text with me a few weeks ago for about 15 minutes. Anyway, I can’t let my well-being rest on an 18 year old. Her b-day is Friday. So, I just remember how much she loved me when she was little and move on. It’s called self-preservation. What else can we do but move forward?

Meeting someone and shortly after, going through menopause, I can't imagine it, and no one talks about it. Menopause is such a big deal and such a big taboo at the same time. I completely understand you, Maria! And let me tell you that there is really a way.... and it is actually very simple... I have found and proved it myself... to not only avoid all those problems from "menopause", but to actually avoid this thing at all!!! As incredible as it sounds... it is truly totally possible! It takes much discipline, though, and a strong will... a real desire and determination to change things, because even though the method is very simple, it is hard to put it in practice, as it involves a TOTAL CHANGE OF LIFESTYLE. Yet, the final outcome is SOOOO IMMENSELY REWARDING!!!! SO MAGNIFICENT THAT WOU WILL NEVER REGRET ALL THE HARD WORK!! I can only encourage everyone to give it a try and see the magic for themselves! ✨🤩✨ I have understood and realised by personal experience that menopause is not something we are subjected to and cannot escape... same as ageing!!! I'm 48 and have been having symptoms of perimenopause for years. I haven't had a period in 18 months but I still have an internal body temperature of 4000 degrees. 🥵 I've no advice on the relationship side of things though, I'm divorced and content on my own.

I’m happy if you’re happy...just be on the lookout for some red flags - I find it odd that friends would disown him when they haven’t even met you. And not just one but many. I’m afraid there’s something more to that story that he’s not sharing. Or maybe he doesn’t have close friends and doesn’t want to admit that to you...or is using the “I gave up my friends for you“ as a way to manipulate you. Just be careful out there! I hope I’m wrong!! I've heard alot of relationship stories but I have never heard of losing friends over a girlfriend they have never met. Sounds like there is a missing piece to the story. Friendships are hard to come by too.
Biggest question, was it female or male friends who disagreed with the new relationship? In my instance they were female friends who wanted my man to remain single, otherwise it changed the dynamics of the group for him to be married. Thank goodness my man could see through the manipulation. It's been 34 yrs and we have the kind of relationship you only dream of best friends, best lovers and best soulmates.

What a perfect place for a first date! The Getty! Only other place might be LACMA! If I were looking a man capable of enjoying Museums, history sites would be in the top few. You spent time talking every night, it shows real effort to remember that 8pm call, but then when you are together you have to keep that daily communication time going or it’s too easy to lose communication. I married the man of my dreams when a was 40. We then had a baby a year later (our baby is now 11). This wonderful man took care of me and my then 4 yr old son after an awful divorce i got when I was 38. Our first date was Phantom of the Opera and is was a magical evening! Been in love ever since.

My son met a “woman“ at his very large company’s Christmas Party. His two older brothers were also there - thus the description “ woman “.
I was the one who urged him to go. He was not really interested in meeting anyone - too jaded from other girls and too shy. But he went.
The “ woman “ and my son hit it off and after a couple of weeks, they started dating.
He was 31 and she was 46. She has 2 younger children aged 8 and 10. And she also had an older daughter ( 21 ) from a first marriage.
They have been together for over a year and are very happy.
We, his parents, are also thrilled for them. The age difference means nothing to us. ♥️

Ha! I’m 74 and was married for 24 years. He left me 35 years ago. It took me a few years to get over it all but then I tried dating. Nothing bad happened but nothing good either. Then I met the love of my life: my granddaughter, Karma Delilah! I became very involved with caring for her because her mom, my daughter had to work since she is a widow. I realized somewhere along the way that I had trusted my husband so much and he was my best friend and yet I had been deceived. I just didn’t want to ... actually I just could NOT ... trust again. Didn’t want to put myself out there. So I’m single and fine!

I was sick at first, my heart was breaking for I love her so very much. I have written her, called and texted. She did text with me a few weeks ago for about 15 minutes. Anyway, I can’t let my well-being rest on an 18 year old. Her b-day is Friday. So, I just remember how much she loved me when she was little and move on. It’s called self-preservation. What else can we do but move forward?

Not sure where you're at with menopause, but can you share what impact it has on a new love relationship? Meeting someone and shortly after, going through menopause, I can't imagine it, and no one talks about it. Menopause is such a big deal and such a big taboo at the same time.

I have found and proved it myself... to not only avoid all those problems from "menopause", but to actually avoid this thing at all!!! As incredible as it sounds... it is truly totally possible! It takes much discipline, though, and a strong will... a real desire and determination to change things, because even though the method is very simple, it is hard to put it in practice, as it involves a TOTAL CHANGE OF LIFESTYLE. Yet, the final outcome is SOOOO IMMENSELY REWARDING!!!! SO MAGNIFICENT THAT WOU WILL NEVER REGRET ALL THE HARD WORK!!

I have understood and realised by personal experience that menopause is not something we are subjected to and cannot escape... same as ageing!!! It is all like any other disease... it is just the body suffering a malfunction and it can totally be healed and reversed! How? It is actually EXTREMELY SIMPLE. The truth is very simple. The simpler something is, the truer. It has all to do with the purification of the body by simply stopping all our actions that contaminate it. I have found tricks to make this easier too and to get to a very pure state very fast. I share all of it for free on my youtube channel. I've heard alot of relationship stories but I have never heard of losing friends over a girlfriend they have never met. Sounds like there is a missing piece to the story. Friendships are hard to come by too.
Biggest question, was it female or male friends who disagreed with the new relationship? In my instance they were female friends who wanted my man to remain single, otherwise it changed the dynamics of the group for him to be married. Thank goodness my man could see through the manipulation. It's been 34 yrs and we have the kind of relationship you only dream of best friends, best lovers and best soulmates.
Sometimes, we never leave the schoolyard. Friends develop cliques that morph into something way too controlling. However, your eyes have sparkled ever since you met Howard and I am so happy for you. I've watched you struggle and grow and find love-all on TH-cam. God bless you both!

What a perfect place for a first date! The Getty! Only other place might be LACMA! If I were looking a man capable of enjoying Museums, history sites would be in the top few. You spent time talking every night, it shows real effort to remember that 8pm call, but then when you are together you have to keep that daily communication time going or it’s too easy to lose communication. (Sad sigh)

I've been married for 42 years. My husband and I have 1 thing we always say to each other." No matter what happens we deal with it together, the rest is just stuff." Life is hard, a relationship is work. The pastor that married us said he had 1 piece of advice. "Don't go to bed mad at each other. Deal with it,forgive and move on to the next day."
