Well, in the game Franzy does refer to Miles as bruderchen, which is German for little brother. She, at that point in time, speaks to him as a little brother, even though her behavior shows there is a hint of something else between them, at least one sided from her. I disagree that this ruins any shipping. I think the dialogue in this scene actually lends to it somewhat better at some points of this exchange.
