I use the cleansing balm religiously. No fragrance or dyes, easily melts, cleans skin gently, doesn’t strip my skin at all and is cheap. I have dry** sensitive rosacea skin and this works so well for it
@@Mnaumnau0 it’s way more affordable than stuff you would get at target most cleansing balms I see are anywhere between $10-$22 it’s def in the lower range
Beauty of Joseon is my top skincare brand right now. Love their products, love the packaging, and the price while higher than some K beauty brands is still reasonable. Their serums are amazing.
@@pambaughman1579 There's often not just one brand where you can purchase all their products and they work for you. It depends on your skin's level of oiliness or dryness, what sort of issues you want to work on, and whether the brand puts a lot of money into several quality products and then pads out their product line with cheaper stuff. That's why I watch content like James's. It helps to weed out good and bad products.
Thank you for always having the same calming/soothing energy. My boyfriend who gives no cares about skin care, enjoys listening to you while I watch your videos. You’re the best, always.
I use the eye serum as a gentle retinoid for all over the face and I adore it. Adapalene was just too much for me and switching to this has given me a healed skin barrier without giving up on retinoids. Absolutely love it!
I used Tretinoin 0.1 and 0.5 for 6 six months now. I never understand it how in the begging, for like 3 weeks, starting literally with 0.1, my face become so nice looking and glowing after only 2 days of using it, that I was wow, this cream is amazing. I didn’t have nothing. And I put it everywhere in my face, even in my eye lids and each corner. Than BUM, acnee, skin peeling every day, irritation, the peeling and the irritation even now after 6 months. But I can see the starting of slight changes on my skin. So I don’t want to give. If the results will be that glow and really healthy looking skin that I had in those 3 weeks, I don’t care if I need to wait 6 months more. The doctor said to me that Tretinoin in time even do the job of Botox, and to be honest, I don’t believe 100% that, but I prefer to wait more for the results and to use this cream every evening, and to have a nice looking skin for a lifetime, than to start looking like the Saw doll, after I inject that on my face. And now I am using BOJ sunscreen every time after I apply the tretinoin, and really helps. So if u want to try again Adapalene and tretinoin, try this method to. You will not regret it. And plus, Tretinoin is free from the doctor🤷🏻
@@Lilo-A it works great. I recommend one pump for the face or 2 pumps for face and neck. My acne has improved and my skin barrier doesn’t hate me anymore. Highly recommend.
@@sasandbernard7862 This is interesting. My skin just cannot take any form of retinol and I was wondering if I could use this product on my face since it is gentle for the eye. Then I found this comment and I am very hopeful now. Planning on getting it, Thank you.
That sunscreen is life changing. It turned me into a daily sunscreen user. I have hated sunscreen my whole life, and my skin has paid he price. If BoJ had been around while I was growing up, I think I would have used sunscreen and I wouldn't have all this horrible sun damage.
the timing of this video is so perfect for me. i've recently gotten really into korean skincare & just started using joseon's eye cream, sunscreen & cleansing oil. i cannot get over how much i'm loving these products & how great my skin has been lately. definitely try their cleansing oil if you haven't!
@@twastea I think it's great. In my country the heat is insane. I used to get tan alottt, but lately using boj sunscreen & comparatively my face def get less tanned. And feels so good, very lightweight & zero white cast. Hope my review gonna help🤍
The Glow serum healed my perioral dermatitis in two weeks when nothing else had worked for months, I absolutely can’t be without it! I’ve used it consistently for two years and have not had a perioral dermatitis flare up since! I buy 2-3 bottles with every YesStyle order. 😂 I just ordered the sunscreen and the cleansing balm as well, can’t wait to try them!
@@athinamae One thing that was super helpful for my perioral dermatitis is head&shoulder shampoo. It contains an active ingredient called zinc pyrithione which is super effective at killing yeasts, fungus. Give it a try if you're inclined!
I love the eye cream as a serum all over my face ... It's amazing and it's the same size as a face serum anyways... When I layer the ginseng toner, serum and eye cream(all over face) top off with cosrx honey sleeping mask it makes my skin have a glow the next day that nothing compares to
I am so glad you are reviewing this brand James, I am in love with the serums (although I do wish they were larger) and I am obsessed with the sunscreen during the cold times of the year. Also, love your channel and your joint channel with Robert, y'all are too funny and remind me of me and my own siblings. Love your work!
i love the glow serum & the essence water i have used obagi lines and it made my skin dry when i started using korean skincare my skin never been the same in a very good way people start complimenting my younger glass skin dewy look for my golden age i stop using western foundation make up as well & started using wakemake vegan make up & my skin look way healthier looking i dont need concealer or heavy makeup just lip & cheek tint from amuse & wake make and look 10 yrs younger thabks to korean skjn care & makeup they saved my skin dramatically since 2018 🥰 i love your channel james it always gives me a boost of extra happy vibe stay healthy 🥰👼
I haven’t seen anybody talk about the BoJ cleansing oil but I just started using it last week and I’m OBSESSED it feels so silky when it goes on and it emulsifies so well that it just washes away to almost nothing! 10/10 would recommend!!
do I need cleansing oil if I only wear sunscreen? i use biore cleansing oil before but that product broke me up so bad. so i change to micellar water instead.
@@zahirahzulkifli4662 You don’t need a cleansing oil if you feel like your skin doesn’t need it! If micellar water works for you then keep using it! Just make sure to rinse the micellar water off before you use toner because it is still a cleanser and you don’t want to keep that on your skin
The sunscreen was my first dip into k-beauty, and wow. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s incredible. I also love the ginseng essence water. So far, 2 for 2 on BOJ for me!
I love the Joseon toner, I never used toners when I was younger, but now in my 30s i do need them, and this one has brought my tired dull skin back to life.🎉
O:55. I swear you NAILED it. I feel sunscreen tries to tell your skin HOW to act or BEND to their formula when in reality that's how soooooo many of us have so much trouble finding a damn sunscreen. You took the words and spoke them where I couldn't. 🙌❤️
It's so convenient that you're reviewing this brand. I just ordered a few of these from stylevana. I'm dipping my toe into K-beauty and these I'm hoping are popular for a reason.
I've been using their dynasty cream since 2017 and it is still a staple for the warmer months when I don't want something super heavy. For some reason I waited until this year to try their Ginseng toner and it is one of my top faves. It is one of those you can apply a few times for extra moisturization without getting too watery or oily. Love them.
I love using the Beauty of Joseon centella asiatica face sheet mask. Occasionally my small psoriasis patches on my face flare up and their sheet masks just tames the flare ups all around. Plus the sheet masks have so much serum left over in one pack that I squeeze out the left overs into a mini travel tub and I’m able to have 3-4 additional daily serums to apply before opening a new sheet mask. Those sheet masks make my face baby smooth, texture free, and evens out my skin tone😍.
idk if it’s just me but the dynasty cream leaves my skin super tight almost uncomfortable and makes my skin itchy. i don’t think that’s a good reaction ??
I swear by the revive serum. It sinks into my skin really well, boosts elasticity like no other, and removed a few acne scars. I use it at night on its own and I always wake up with clear plump skin. I also tried the dynasty cream (tester), but didn't enjoy it. It sat on top and I didn't feel better about myself in the morning. I'm looking to try some of the other products you mentioned. I think BoJ is a brand that's worth my money.
I just got mine a few days ago and it depends on how much you use. With a very light amount it's not bad but too much I feel it's tacky. I think tomorrow I'm going to try it on slightly damp skin and see if it's better. It's an amazing cream otherwise and plumps my number "11" lines to where I can barely see them.
I recently had the worst eczema flare up I've ever had and I broke out the cleansing balm since I couldn't use my normal face wash. It did such a great job of removing the flaky skin from my face. I never like using balms or oils alone to cleanse since I break out still, but I had to since I was so raw and in pain. My skin was looking clearer and felt softer than usual and less textured. It did not heal my eczema but neither did Aveeno eczema products or the prescribed cream I used before. I had to get a steroid shot to heal but I have not gone back to using soap cleansers. Going through that forced me to give this product the limelight and see how amazing it is. Doesn't leave any grease at all and leaves the skin feeling conditioned. I hope the new formulation hasn't changed much. Just made a repurchase so we'll see.
I love the exfoliating toner, it’s so gentle and effective it helps with flakes acne pores and adding hydration for me personally. The propolis serum is amazing for when my skin is both dehydrated and flaking off and breaking out. It calms the acne and moisturizes my skin barrier and keeps everything together, especially during wind whipping dry Midwest winters. The green tea serum was nice but too light. Good for a hot and humid summer. Have yet to try the new formulation so maybe it’s even more hydrating and calming! The old formulation of the cleansing balm stung my face whenever I used it, I’m glad they listened to their feedback. I hope they make toner pads with some of their signature ingredients
I think the retinal eye cream and the sun screen are the most valuable products. The rest may have cute organic ingredients & make you look nice but won’t do anything for aging. Buy products that have retinal or other anti aging properties in them. It’s never too early to incorporate.
I’ve tried a lot of sunscreens, and I definitely worry about white cast bc of my dark skin, and oiliness. This is by far one of my favorites. The rice part reminds me of a cosrx moisturizer, it makes my skin feel really good.
I also have had to try a lot of sunscreen since I have darker skin. On top of that I have eyes that are really sensitive to most sunscreens. To the point that it's dangerous for me to drive if I have a sunscreen that's not perfect for me. The only ones I've tried that have zero white cast and have never made my eyes water or sting are this one and the Canmake Mermaid Skin. I will never stop buying views as long as they make them. The Isntree hyaluronic acid sunscreen is a closed third, but every once in a blue moon it does sting my eyes. I have no idea why it's inconsistent like that.
Thanks for reviewing this brand! It’s one of the only brands I’ve purchased multiple products from. I agree with EVERYTHING you said about the products I’ve tried. The sun screen is lovely, elegant, hydrating, doesn’t burn my skin (I don’t believe it is highly water-resistant however). LOVE LOVE LOVE the retinal eye cream- it’s the only higher strength retinoid product that doesn’t irritate my eyes, and after having used it daily for about 6-8 weeks, I have noticed a plumpness and I am not getting any milia any longer. I’ve become a toner/essence collector (thanks a lot, James, I blame you! 😂)and really enjoy theirs. It smells to me kind of like a branch of wood. It’s great as a first layer, feels hydrating and balancing, and provides a nice foundation for my other products. Awesome brand!
I suffered through the worst phase of breakouts with cystic acne last month, and after just a week of using the Glow Serum, my skin improved tremendously! Just dealing with PIH now and am planning to try either glow deep or revive serum soon 🥰
If anyone has watched How I met Your Mother, in one of the episodes, Ted and their students play a game, where they take a shot everytime the news anchor(Robbin) says “but..um”, i felt like doing it, eveytime James says “nice”. Btw, above is just humor. i really like your videos James, you made me a skin care person and my skin has improved since then, thank you.
You need to try their cleansing bar. It leaves my skin feeling nice afterwards. Also: this is a brand that constantly improves their staples. In 2017 the cream had smell which ist fortunately not there anymore and the sunscreen used to make my skin have a sweaty sensation right after application. That weird feeling is gone with the current version.
Beauty of Joseon was the brand that made me look up into K-Beauty, since then there was a always place in my heart rent free for BOJ. Talking about their eye cream, I was skeptical at first if it was gonna work, many of eye creams didn’t work on me; but after 2 months of using this I honestly see a little improvement of wrinkles under my under eyes. I’m so glad they made this eye cream ❤️
I have their Sunscreen, and is the best product I have used until now. I am sorry to ask you this, how old are you? Because I really want to try the eye cream, and if helped you, I think will do it for me to.
@@apoorvachaudhary8566 I think you can. If the composition doesn't have allergens or other irritants on it, you can definitely use it. And is very nice that you start so young to think about your skin. After you make 16 you can even start with tretinoin, you will get it from free from the dermatologist with prescription. And never forget about the sunscreen, is the only one who can keep your skin healthy and younger. I wish u all the best!
I am obsessed this the glow deep serum, my skin has been so much brighter since I started using it! I’m on my second bottle and will keep buying for sure. I have the sunscreen, which I like but would make me feel slightly dry at times, so I switch between it and the Neutrogena 60+ serum spf. I just ordered their Green plum refreshing cleanser so I hope it’s as good as the rest of the products!
@@aparna4226 I use it everyday, so I don’t know. Though, with skincare, most things aren’t permanent, even professional/clinical treatments. So, I doubt it would be.
I am a huge fan of the dynasty cream for my combo skin -- your description is perfect. It quickly became a 'go to' for me. Because of your review, I just picked up the Propolis + Niacinamide serum. I've been wanting to try propolis and decided to give this one a go. Thanks for the eye cream review. I just bought the Glow Recipe bright eye gel cream. When it runs out I will try Joseon's.
I use the glow and revive serums. I'm obsessed with them. I've been lazy and not done skincare for three days, my skin still looks glowing and feels like butter from consistent use of those serums
I have been using the sunscreen from besuty of joseon for over a year and ive never had any issues! It is my #1 favorite sunscreen!! I have really dry skin year round so i double this as my sunscreen and moisturizer during the day❤
I love Beauty of Joseon but think I’m the only person who has not tried the sunscreen lol. The two Glow serums I alternate daily, they are just lovely. They work beautifully under makeup and the whole user experience is elegant. The eye cream (and the sunscreen) is at the top of my to-try list!
lol yeah I have not tried the sunscreen either, but I have been so excited to try it for a long time. The only reason I haven't is because I have so much sunscreen right now it would be a waste to buy a new one until I finish some of these other ones lol i have a problem where I just literally want to buy a thousand products all at one time, because I love them all.
"they" will need to pry my toners from my cold moisturized glowy dead body! 😂... Benton, cosrx, b.o.j, Isntree... (screaming desperately) I NEED THEM ALL!... "They" will NEVER win... Do I have too many essence and toners? Yes. Do I use too many at once? Yes. Is it needed? YES. Have I ever found one I hate? No.
K-Beauty products are a little expensive where I live but nothing that can stop me because I am that obsessed! I love this brand and can say that their serum healed my skin :)
I absolutely LOVE this brand. The Dynasty cream is the chef's kiss for sure, and I'm also a fan of the Rice/AA serum, and of course everyone loves the sunscreen (even though I lean toward the Round Lab Birch Juice sunscreen. No matter what balm I'm testing, I always go back to this one. So good! Looking forward to trying out the cleanser next.
Did you purposely leave out the Calming Serum with Green Tea & Panthenol? I love Beauty of Joseon. And NO it does not matter that this was a sponsored video, they literally do NOT have a bad product....every single product from them I am absolutely in love with. They just know what they are doing and they do it well. Ginseng is one of my absolute favorite ingredients in skincare. I just freaking love this brand! lol 🥰😍😘
I've tried the calming serum, the revive serum, and the cleansing balm. I've really liked both and I'm excited to try the sunscreen. I'll probably try the eye cream once I finish up the neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair eye cream (it lasts forrrrever lol).
The Glow deep serum is my go to, it really helps with my faster healing of my acne scars, and later with PIH.😍 I practically love all of their products that I have tried, well EXCEPT for their SPF. I just can't get it sink into my skin, no mater how hard I work on it. 😔
Before TikTok made BOJ go 'viral', the brand had already become very popular back in 2016/17 because of their Dynasty cream. That's how I came to know of BOJ. Nevertheless they were able to continue coming up with some good products.
The cleansing balm is the first product I bought, its literally perfect for my exzema/psoriasis prone skin. So gentle, I don't think I will ever try another cleansing balm
As someone with oily skin with PIH I am really looking to buy the dynasty cream and the snail ginseng serum! I’m super stoked for those products when I finish my current serum and cream.
Im so excited to try the glow serum bc it has a good amnt of niacinimide.. I avoided the ingredient for ages bc my skin was so irritated from using the ordinary 10%. im in the process of switching my whole routine to Korean products idk if ill ever go back tbh
hey I'm sorry if this is a bother! But could you please tell me about the finish of that cream on the skin? Is it velvety to the touch after application?
I LOVE this brand, I recently bought the sunscreen and I’m a believer! When I learned about the benefits of ginseng, I started to lightly dab the essence around my eyes, focusing on my crows feet and I’ve seen great improvement. I will need to try the eye cream for sure.
I use their foam cleanser and I really like it. For my combo-more on the oily side skin is perfect. It doesn't leave my face with a dry sensation and removes everything.
I’ve tried and really enjoyed the ginseng essence, the cleansing balm, the Arbutin serum, the Dynasty cream. All comforting, nice formulations, make skin look healthy, nice packaging, very reasonable price. Sadly, the SPF made me break out like really bad within one day😳. I didn’t use it for a few weeks thinking it might be my skin going through a phase, but the second time I used it I had horrible deep pimples on my jawline again within 24 hours 🤷♀️
My faves for someone with sensitive, reactive, psoriasis, peri orificial dermatitis-prone skin: The green plum cleanser doesn’t dry me up, the bouncy formula is a delight to use. The centella + vitamin C serum works great for daytime use. The calming serum with panthenol is also good. I have just received the Relief sunscreen and the ginseng moist sun serum and those will be the next products to try.
I like the ginseng water. It's not outstanding, but I like it for what it is. But I did find that it stings when my skin barrier is damaged. So I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something to calm and soothe your troubled skin.
Literally made my bestie buy this brand 24h ago and she sent me this video an hour ago. I am glad everything we got looks good or I won’t hear the end of it 😂 We ordered the glow deep serum, glow serum, dynasty cream, sunscreen, ginseng oil and sheet masks
@@morgianasartre6709 might be discontinued but I still have 3/4 of one left and it was pretty pricy for me to waste. I use it when it’s the only thing I’m going to use that morning.
I used the cleansing balm. I wiped it away with a wet washcloth and my skin was so irritated I couldn't even wash my face for one week. I should have rinsed the balm off with water because it is VERY drying. I don't wear makeup, and this balm may be made for heavy makeup removal. Thanks for a good video.
I don't typically like using cotton to apply things if I can I just pour my essence or toner in my hands and pat them on. Cotton wastes products and cause unnecessary garbage unless you have the reuse kind.
When I know I'm going to be wearing concealer under my eyes, I use the Dynasty Cream to moisturize (orbital area), because it seals in what I've put underneath it, and doesn't have excess oils that will break down my cosmetics.
I’ve been curious about alpha arbutin for awhile. Doesn’t our skin’s melanin help protect us from harmful uv rays? If alpha arbutin inhibits the production of melanin, it brightens our skin but is it bad that we have lesser melanin to protect us from the sun? Just curious!
I REALLY wanted to love the suncream, but I just can't. My skin is just so oily using it! For comparison, I love the Biore Watery Essence - it's the only SPF I can wear and my face isn't oily for at least half the day if not longer, and one that doesn't break me out. I've been using it for years without issue, and thought I'd try the BOJ one. But I'm just so oily after a couple of hours. I've tried lots of different ways, for almost a month and it consistently happens. I'm going to finish the tube by just wearing it around the house, and maybe something will change.....I might try again over colder months too. But so far, it's a no for me. Which makes me sad because it is very nice. Also for those oily skin types - the Heimish marine care eye cream is so good! Barely anyone mentions it, but it's great. Odd texture because it feels thick like a silicone based product, but it's not, it melts away beautifully. Sits lovely under make up, it's texture almost makes it primer like, but it's not drying, doesn't disrupt my concealer (there is natural creasing or movement because everything moves there), I highly recommend. Cheap too, you get heaps for how much you need to use!
Omg I've been using a lot of BOJ products because personally I like to make my routine with all from one brand. Don't know explain how amazing the results are. I have the cleasing oil, Green Plum Refresh Cleanser, Ginseng Toner and serum, Dysnast Cream and of course the suncreen and I'm use Tretinoin in Gel at 0.025% 30 minutes after my night routine. Honestly, my skin never have a results like that, it's like they repair what the Tretinoin do and make my skin unbelievable beauty at pont I don't feel needed to apply make up at all and if I apply its a huge wow. Beats easy so many "Ceuticals", "Medical" or " Pro" brands from Western.
You turned me on to adding toner to my skincare regimen about a year ago…it’s now my favourite step. I, and my lovely skin, thank you! Think I’ll be adding Joseon to my ‘gotta try’ list! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Love your videos…keep ‘em coming. ❤️
I love that eye cream. I actually use it on my forehead and neck instead of my tretinoin so that it isn't as irritating to the delicate skin. It's really quite perfect. I recently ordered the deep serum and sunblock. Looking forward to trying them. Thanks so much for this review. You've given me more confidence in this line, after only experiencing that one product so far.
Thanks for the review! I've been using their ginseng+mucin serum for 20-something days, and it seems to really improve skin elasticity. Frankly, I didn't expect that effect from such an affordable item and bought it because of a pretty bottle. 🤦 Good that this time such experimentation ended well for me)))
The pretty packaging did it for me too! That was originally why I tried the calming serum. But that one calms my rosacea flare ups and I have loved it from day one!
One of my most favorite brands ❤ Love the ginseng essence water (although I’ve dropped it simply bc I don’t need it), the Calming serum (especially the reformation with added), the spf is everything, I love the green plum cleanser & I just got the new version of the aha toner (no longer bubble toner) and it’s the only product containing glycolic acid that hasn’t irritated my skin. These are the three I use regularly but I agree that every product I’ve tried (also the moisturizer, a couple other serums & the cleansing oil) is really good; they just don’t all have room in my current routines.
I've been using the Glow cerum (1 year) & sunscreen (1 month). I love it! I did really show the glow on me. By the way, I have very oily skin and am in the Philippines. The temperature here is very humid but it fits well with the weather here. Thank you for providing your feedback to the other items and I would definitely add more to my routine.
James thank you so much for all your videos. I love to learn about all your skin product recommendations, especially because I too have mild rosacea. I would love it if you could make a video on Korean anti-aging products for Latino skin with mild rosacea and prone to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Thank you so much.❤
You are spot on. I use everything except the serums and the peeling mask. Instead of serum, I use The Ordinary actives. I don't know how much ny skin can absorb but a serum seems like one step too many. I too enjoy the eye cream. One special thing about the eye cream is that it uses retinAl rather than retinOl. Retinal is more gentle resulting in less irritation. I enjoyed the video and was happy to have you confirm that I enjoy these products because they really are good.
Love Beauty of Joseon! However, the Ginseng Essence Water made my and my daughters skin peel, we used it for several months. We thought it was our other products until we narrowed it to the Ginseng water. Been repairing the damage for over a month now. That's the one I avoid.
i truly feel that boj sunscreen is overated in some way, but nonetheless everything else from the brand are so affordable and effective, the propolis and green tea serum and the ginseng essence are my favs
hi james, loved your video. you made a typo for the ginseng + retinal serum, you wrote retinol instead of retinal which is confusing, thought you'd want to know also, if i'm not mistaken, BoJ use 2% of encapsulated retinal with a concentration of 0.02% of pure retinal; being an encapsulation technology with pure retinaldehyde, it is not a retinol derivative but a retinoic derivative
Could you recommend a toner please as I would love to incorporate one into my routine? I have normal but sensitive skin. Would love your help please? X
I would like to try the essence toner and the Revive eye cream. I have the Origins ginseng eye cream and really like it, but it has mica in it and it gets on my pillow case at night. I'm hoping the Revive eye cream is a good replacement for me.
This is THE HG KBeauty brand for me. All products are hits, no misses. I always make sure I have the Ginseng Essence Water, Propolis, Rice, and Ginseng Serums stocked at all times. What's even better is they appropriately disclose the % of their actives; and 2% Niacinamide (which their serums + essence have) seems to be the sweet spot for my skin. Packaging is also 10/10, looks very luxe at very affordable prices. I haven't even used their sunscreen yet (using up the Isntree one first) and it's already a brand I'll never get over with, along with Pyunkang Yul. I'm looking to try their renewed Plum AHA+BHA Water next!
for some reason the sunscreen by this brand is the only one I can use on my face without a serious reaction. I literally had a spreadsheet about how much different suncreen hurts me but this one is the only one out of like hundreds that feels ok
I’m curious about this brand, my issue is that I have adult hormonal acne and found a good routine but the serum I use is a bit pricy and I’m trying to find a more affordable serum.
We were in Seoul last month and we only found the Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser after going through a few Olive Young outlets in Myeongdong. It ends up being cheaper to buy here in Australia, tbh.
See already u can see the difference in Korean skincare and American skincare like the ingredients in Korean skincare are waaaay better and I kinda wanna try some for my dry sensitive skin.
Beauty of Joseon is my favorite brand. I love everything they have produced so far. I'm obsessed with Red Panax Ginseng. It's the best antioxidant and the magic it worked on my stressed-out skin is unreal. The only two BOJ products I don't really like are the dynasty cream and the sunscreen. The cream contains that damned coconut oil I disdain so much. My problem with the sunscreen is that it's formulated with chemical UV filters and I solely like the physical filters. However, the oil cleanser, the snail mucin + ginseng serum, the essence, the retinal eye cream, and the cleansing balm are my go-to list toppers. Since I prefer retinaldehyde over retinol and tretinoin, imagine my happiness when they came up with a product containing my favorite ingredients.
Can you BOJ new retinal + ginseng eye cream? Waiting to hear your review before making purchase. Skin care recommendations n reviews by you has been a game changer for my skin. it's smoother n brighter now. Thanks you.
I use a lot of their products right now. I normally used heimish cleansing balm - and when I’m done with this Joseon one, I will go back to heimish. I do not have sensitive skin - but this one irritates my eyes, and I never had that problem before. And it’s difficult to remove my makeup. I need to use it twice, and I do not use heavy makeup. So im careful not to bring it to close to my eyes. The face cream and the essence is pretty okay. I like that the smell isn’t to overpowering
I use the cleansing balm religiously. No fragrance or dyes, easily melts, cleans skin gently, doesn’t strip my skin at all and is cheap. I have dry** sensitive rosacea skin and this works so well for it

I wondered if it could be used on the entire face.

If BoJ had been around while I was growing up, I think I would have used sunscreen and I wouldn't have all this horrible sun damage.
i have the same experience!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Fuck it I'll buy it lol
the timing of this video is so perfect for me. i've recently gotten really into korean skincare & just started using joseon's eye cream, sunscreen & cleansing oil. i cannot get over how much i'm loving these products & how great my skin has been lately. definitely try their cleansing oil if you haven't!
the Ginseng toner is awesome, too!! ❤
How's the sunscreen ? is it okay for acne prone oily skin (hot/humid climate)
😂 I just ordered the sunscreen and the cleansing balm as well, can’t wait to try them!
are you using the one with propolis and niacinimide or the glow deep? i have a similar skin problem and wanted to see if it’ll help me too!
@@athinamae the one with propolis! I hope it works for you too! 😊
@@curlsofa2017 thank you so much!
@@athinamae One thing that was super helpful for my perioral dermatitis is head&shoulder shampoo. It contains an active ingredient called zinc pyrithione which is super effective at killing yeasts, fungus. Give it a try if you're inclined!
Zinc and sulfur did wonders for me with PD. I love the glow and glow deep serum though!
I love the eye cream as a serum all over my face ... It's amazing and it's the same size as a face serum anyways... When I layer the ginseng toner, serum and eye cream(all over face) top off with cosrx honey sleeping mask it makes my skin have a glow the next day that nothing compares to
Which serum do you use with it pls?
Same! But the serums are the normal size of most serums (30 ml). It's just the packaging that makes it appear little
What spf do you prefer in the summer?
I haven’t seen anybody talk about the BoJ cleansing oil but I just started using it last week and I’m OBSESSED it feels so silky when it goes on and it emulsifies so well that it just washes away to almost nothing! 10/10 would recommend!!
I use it too and I love it!!! Super agree with you!
do I need cleansing oil if I only wear sunscreen? i use biore cleansing oil before but that product broke me up so bad. so i change to micellar water instead.
@@zahirahzulkifli4662
You don’t need a cleansing oil if you feel like your skin doesn’t need it!
Keep at it!
I started using BOJ during lockdown and now use them for every step of my routine. The hype is real people!
idk if it’s just me but the dynasty cream leaves my skin super tight almost uncomfortable and makes my skin itchy. i don’t think that’s a good reaction ??
@@avvzq7031 yeah, you probably have an allergy to an ingredient in it
I swear by the revive serum.
I love their dynasty cream for winter since my skin dries out super fast in the cold. Ordered it once and instantly fell in love.
i almost ordered this today! you have convinced me LOL
I'm hearing a few reviews, saying that it's sticky. Have you experienced that?
The sunscreen is like magic, really worth the hype!!

I have the sunscreen, which I like but would make me feel slightly dry at times, so I switch between it and the Neutrogena 60+ serum spf. I just ordered their Green plum refreshing cleanser so I hope it’s as good as the rest of the products!
Does it only gives temporary glow or actually works permanently?

No.

Before TikTok made BOJ go 'viral', the brand had already become very popular back in 2016/17 because of their Dynasty cream. That's how I came to know of BOJ. Nevertheless they were able to continue coming up with some good products.
Is their glow serum great?
The cleansing balm is the first product I bought, its literally perfect for my exzema/psoriasis prone skin. So gentle, I don't think I will ever try another cleansing balm

love how your skin is glowing, its beautiful😊
I’ve tried and really enjoyed the ginseng essence, the cleansing balm, the Arbutin serum, the Dynasty cream. All comforting, nice formulations, make skin look healthy, nice packaging, very reasonable price. Sadly, the SPF made me break out like really bad within one day😳. I didn’t use it for a few weeks thinking it might be my skin going through a phase, but the second time I used it I had horrible deep pimples on my jawline again within 24 hours 🤷♀️
I heard dat d spf contains alcohol and some ingredients which may be irritating to some skin types
I’ve been using their toner, dynasty cream, deep glow serum and spf they are my favorite products I ever used.

Toners are essential! I learned that from watching your videos and now it’s an obsession! Thanks James!
So happy to see you review BOJ! How is the cleansing oil compared to the Klairs one? Would love to see you review Pyunkang Yul products soon

I need an eye cream that won't bring out my milia. I have chronic pain, so I'd love for it to be a retinol eye cream🤔🤔
Good that this time such experimentation ended well for me)))
The pretty packaging did it for me too! That was originally why I tried the calming serum. But that one calms my rosacea flare ups and I have loved it from day one!
One of my most favorite brands ❤
Love the ginseng essence water (although I’ve dropped it simply bc I don’t need it), the Calming serum (especially the reformation with added), the spf is everything, I love the green plum cleanser & I just got the new version of the aha toner (no longer bubble toner) and it’s the only product containing glycolic acid that hasn’t irritated my skin. These are the three I use regularly but I agree that every product I’ve tried (also the moisturizer, a couple other serums & the cleansing oil) is really good; they just don’t all have room in my current routines.
Omg - forgot the eye cream (which is ridiculous bc I use it every night 😂). Been loving this!! I also use on my eyelids, no irritation & no milia.

I've been using the eye cream all over my face as my nightly retinal and love it!
Are you still doing this?
i truly feel that boj sunscreen is overated in some way, but nonetheless everything else from the brand are so affordable and effective, the propolis and green tea serum and the ginseng essence are my favs
hi james, loved your video. you made a typo for the ginseng + retinal serum, you wrote retinol instead of retinal which is confusing, thought you'd want to know
also, if i'm not mistaken, BoJ use 2% of encapsulated retinal with a concentration of 0.02% of pure retinal; being an encapsulation technology with pure retinaldehyde, it is not a retinol derivative but a retinoic derivative
Could you recommend a toner please as I would love to incorporate one into my routine? I have normal but sensitive skin. Would love your help please? X
I’ve been using their stuff for so awhile now and I’m so glad they’re bowing up!
You didn’t even talk about the calming serum. Or the BHA AHA toner… those are the ones I needed to hear about
I’m curious about this brand, my issue is that I have adult hormonal acne and found a good routine but the serum I use is a bit pricy and I’m trying to find a more affordable serum.
I live in Korea and that brand Beauty of Joseon is not even sold in local beauty shop here. It seems to be famous abroad.
What brands are popular in Korea?
We were in Seoul last month and we only found the Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser after going through a few Olive Young outlets in Myeongdong. It ends up being cheaper to buy here in Australia, tbh.
See already u can see the difference in Korean skincare and American skincare like the ingredients in Korean skincare are waaaay better and I kinda wanna try some for my dry sensitive skin.
I have very dry sensitive skin and Korean skincare has been amazing for me.
BOJ is my favorite K beauty brand. I love so many of their products.
Thanks you.
15:18 - Peeling gels use your oil in order to ball up how it does, so, that's certainly where the oil is going. Just gotta hydrate afterwards.
