"Best" is subjective. The Pentel Multi-8 gives you *eight* different leads in one pencil. I use 5 different grades of graphite (4B, 2B, HB, 2H, 4H) plus non-photo blue, white, and red - and it costs a LOT less than the Tutto 3.
Thanks for the video! Can you tell a little more about the materials and overall build quality? Is the body entirely metal? What about the buttons and pocket clip - are those metal? And lastly - how firm/wobbly is the tip of the pencil? THANK YOU!
The pencil is made of all metal except for the gray clicking button on the back (I think that is a hard plastic). The build quality is very high. It was very important for me that the tip is not wobbly. Luckily, it's very firm. After using it for months, I think the only negative feedback I have is: If you expose a long piece of lead, then when you retract it into the pencil, it will break the lead. I guess this is no different than any other mechanical pencil. If you leave a long piece of lead out, then you put your pencil in a pencil bag, it will probably break the lead as well.
I might try it, if it had 0.9, rather than the 0.3, but I doubt it. I simply have no use at all for 0.7 lead in writing or drawing, and I really don't use 0.3 often enough to matter. I do have friends who have tried it, and their two big complaints are low lead capacity and high lead breakage. None of them like it, and I trust their opinions.
Each point when it comes out is not perfectly aligned with the body, it always has an inclination and that is an imperfection of this writing instrument.
I picked this up, to replace my Antique Rotring 3 in one pencil for going out! I find the Tutto3 much more difficult to unwind, if anyone else is a lefty here, which is my bane with every other mechanical pencil on the market! Nothing worse than to be intently working on a piece, and the tip just unscrews, lands onto the middle of your art!! I'm sick and tired of using plumber's tape, to hold them on.
@@paintinghunters I have put too much pressure on all pencils mechanical or not, in the counter-clockwise movement, & snapped the leads. So, I did my warm-ups by holding my pencils like charcoal.
This was so useful! One of the few videos I didn't want to speed it up!
This is soo cool! Thanks for sharing!

@@paintinghunters That alone is more than enough to stop me from using it.
Great video 👏 👍
Thank you! Cheers!

I'm also a lefty, but never came across that issue! Thanks for sharing.

It's definitely not a cheap pencil, you are right about that!
