Could you give me some more info to where it is, and what you are trying to place? If its a fence you cannot place, where on the map are you not able to place this?
I've been looking around on the map to find any hidden objects that might cause the issue of placing items on the map. I'm on PC and as you can see from the video, I do not run into this issue. The red you see around objects is collisions, and you cannot place anything near them, so you will get that message you mention. At the farm and near the store and it tells me that there is an object that hinders the placement
