@@Ali___ dude I had one plus 3T and later one plus 6. I have been using oneplus way before most people nowadays. Oneplus may have shifted a little based on their growth but dude compare to Samsung and most Android oneplus software experience is still bang on. No arguments. You need to evaluate the market once again mate. I had Samsung s20 pro and OP6 but 6 was my main driver. And Op9 has been superb as of now for me. And I am not even a fanboy
I think LG did best by putting an end to smartphone division. One plus has now gone from one of the most loved to most hated brand within a year.

@@blueciffer1653 UI - User Interface which happens to be the first and most seen part of the phone so if this sucks then the rest will not matter. Oxygen OS has always been OP's selling point and if that is no more then YES, OP has finally settled...

Idk. They have fixed the bugs, battery drainage on Nord 2 with 4 updates in 35 days! The phone is running flawlessly without any bugs.

This OOS 12 beta honestly looks a lot more stable and finished than the full release of OOS 11 for the 7 Series and Nord

As a OnePlus 7pro owner I had big hopes for OnePlus to do well and stay on their eco system. But the brand we loved is dead.

I still love my OP 8, it is still just as fast as it was on day 1 but I'm looking forward to this integration and Android 12 update. Was a good bang for my buck buy and glad I made the purchase. Have an OP Nord 100 as a back up and media device and even though it only gets one update, it was free and works pretty damn good as just a media device.
as a lumia user i feel happy to notice that always on feature was present in lumia way before it appeared in android.. nostalgia

@@klee88029 idk if you're bring sarcastic but I'll give it a shot. I think what he means is since oppo has bought oneplus, Oxygen os has taken a lot of 'inspiration' from color os (android based os on Oppo and realme phones)
I went from a OnePlus 6T to a Sony Xperia 1 II last year.
I was thinking the Sony screen, and the OnePlus Oxygen OS would've been the dream smartphone.

I'm backing OnePlus for integrating coloros with oxygen. I sure do love oxygen. But this oxy+colo is growing on me. Hopefully things will get better for oneplus in terms of providing bug free, improved and fast updates over the time.

@@arunnatarajan5623 as long as its improving, bug free, lightweight packs some decent features Oneplus will be oneplus. Since these recent Chain of os updates it feels like its not oneplus but these oos12 update feels and promises improvement.

Go for Xiaomi Poco F3 if it's available where you live. Better specs and also costs less.

@@mays7n Yes. The normal OnePlus 7 Pro has got it, but the 5G model didn't until now. The 5/T series waited pretty long for some updates as well.
OnePlus were the only brand of phone I've purchased for the last 10 years. I buy 2 phones a year.

Yeah but who cares what Oneplus does with their OS when you can always install a custom rom and gcam. Very easy to unlock bootloader in op devices.

Regarding all of the people who are asking about the various models of 1+ phones, "When will we get it (the OS 12 update)?": I don't know much about technology but I think that if this reviewer knew the answer(s) to your question or where to find the answer, he would have mentioned it.
From my daily readings on this topic for over 2 months before I purchased a new phone, NOWHERE has Google provided this information on this for any phones except for their new PIXEL 6 coming out later this month, October 2021.
From what I understand, it all depends upon when each phone manufacturer contracts w/Google to buy their OSs. Some manufacturers are historically faster than others to do this. Luckily, 1+ IS one of those who do contract with Google for the first time newest OSs sooner than later.
So put your Patiently Waiting Caps on
& happily look forward to getting Oxygen/OS 12 "sometime soon" instead of pestering this reviewer about every freaking phone model that 1+ ever made😉.

Settings show unnecessary changes. More like we change them because we had to show a "change". Seems more clattered, and options are less distinguishable among them.

Trust me Color OS is worst in Android 12, OnePlus ruined their reputation, this is the worst update. I was still on Android 11 but the device forced me to update on this worst update.
