My mom was a stay at home mom and I asked her one time why she never made us do many chores growing up, and she said I always thought of cleaning as part of my job as the mom and it was your job to be a kid. She had that same sound of love in her voice as when you said you enjoy cleaning you kids' rooms. ❤

To answer your church question I am blessed to have a pastor who kept the church open and going since last year. We had church in the parking lot for a while and it was awesome. We are still open and everyone is doing good.
Randomly came across this video and I love how relatable you come across. So many cleaning videos seem that they are cleaning an already clean house, but this is a real home with kids and life and that makes it so relatable. Thank you for sharing and motivating.

Our church council has decided to let 44 people in the building during worship. My family (hubby, daughter, and I) are still doing Zoom worship because our church is about 35 minutes from home and it’s kind of nice to not have to rush to be out the door at 8:15 in the morning to make it to 9 am worship! When things are back to full capacity we will go back. Our church has decided to keep Zoom worship an option which will be nice when people are on vacation and they can still join in!

I just love you and your sweet family and watching your videos! You post when it works best for you. I'll be here! Love watching your sweet little kiddos. My oldest is a Senior in High School and my youngest is 12. We are in Florida, and everything is open, but their school district has soooo many restrictions. No Homecoming, no Prom, no Gradventure, no sports banquets, and the list goes on and on. I've been trying so hard to be grateful for the things she hasn't missed out on, but it's been very hard. I know there are Seniors in other parts of the country who haven't had anything this year. It's just so hard because she will never get this year or those memories back. That's been my funk for the last several months, and especially that she's graduating and headed to college in a few very short months.
So blessed to be living here in Western Australia. Our churches and schools were not online for very long at all. Our lives have been life as normal. So thankful. Definitely praying for you guys who have been more affected 🙏🏻💞
Your boys sound like mine. They are 7 & 5 and are also obsessed with each other. And the stuffed toys......Mario is also my boys all time favourite just like their dad. My 7 year old had a Mario themed party too in January. I had 4 children in 5 years. 2 boys, 1 girl and another boy.

Hi Joanna! Thanks for the video. My husband and I are both very much introverts and I have some social anxiety so we honestly didn't go to church often, so now that it's still online because there are many who don't want to go, we watch every service! I know the pandemic has been so unbelievably hard, it has on everyone, but honestly our lives haven't changed much. I don't say that lightly, so I hope no one thinks I am being a jerk, what I mean is to say we are lucky I suppose that our lives haven't been affected as much as so many others. My husband is a maintenance mechanic so his job requires him to be at work every day, and I am a small business owner currently on a break to go back to school. The pandemic has definitely affected all the rest of our family, such as our 2 grown boys, but Thank God we are all still safe and healthy and many have had the virus and just mild symptoms. I hope you and your family stay safe, and I really hope I did not offend anyone with my comment. I said everything with love, and am sending prayers out to everyone who needs them! Keep these videos coming, I definitely am loving them!

Oh my gosh!!!!!!! You have no idea how much I needed this motivation today!! I recently lost my mojo and was in this funk and just couldn't get the motivation to crack on and get my house back to its normal glory!!! I think because my kids finally went back to school last week and its back to 5.30am starts i kind of let the house go because i have been getting so tired,then I get down because my house is a mess and get stressed about it and its like going down a rabbit hole !!! But thank you I got a lot done today and my house is nearly there, once its all clean i can start doing spring cleaning ,doing all the things that you don't do on a weekly basis!!! So glad this video arrived! Your voice is always so soothing, really makes me feel calm in the face of all my chores lol. Speaking of new mattresses I recommend the Casper I have to anyone who will listen! An absolute game changer for myself and my partner. Regarding your “funk” remember no living thing blooms all year round. Having down times, lazy times, confused schedule periods in your year is totally healthy and normal. Give yourself grace! We are happy for any kind of content, any time! You do DO. 💕👍🏻☺️
Just a couple of things: 1st, even those whose house is "always clean" have times when it isn't, especially if there are kids involved. 2nd, we all get to the point where we don't feel like doing anything. Let that cycle pass and something will invariably happen to pump you up again, i.e. a vacay, motivational speaker, service, finishing a massive project, etc. 3rd, keep your Sundays sacred. You are a spiritual gal, let your Sunday be a renew day, not a catch-up day. And 4th, which anyone can see that you do, love those kids! They grow up so fast and then you have the reward of grandkids!!! You are doing great. Amazingly great!! I love your videos and pray for you.
I just bought that vacuum at Walmart and I really love it! I live by myself and only do laundry about once a week so I cannot imagine how often you have to do laundry with so many kids and a husband and a lot of clothes. I think thats part of the reason I do not have so many things is because of laundry

Wow! You guys have a lot of clothes. That is a lot to manage. A few years ago I donated a lot of my clothes and only kept the ones I needed and the ones I really loved. So happy I did.

My midnight motivator 😁.. I have been slacking too. Our church has been virtual 100% since day one and we've been going to it since they allowed 50 people in (size of congregation). We leave it to the individual to if you want to attend online or in person. (Ps 91) Washing pillows so important - I have 2 down out of the 4 I sleep with, 8 on the bed at night. 😴 You are the ultimate party 🎉 planner! 🙂 I love my Walmart delivery (most of the time) .. middle of the night shopping is great.

We have not been back to church in person yet, but our church is doing a live service and also online, as well. We do a Zoom Bible study, but there are people there in person, too. We just haven’t been comfortable going back yet - but maybe soon!

I was laughing out loud when you were talking about moms that can keep their homes picked up while getting themselves and kids ready! It’s funny because that’s exactly how I feel about someone that can raise 4 small children and keep their sanity! Our church closed a couple times but is currently open with 3 different Sunday services to break the crowds up. We have a medium sized church and this helps keep the crowds down. We also have every other row blocked off and had usher seating people. Things are slowly going back to normal here in WV!

Yes I lost my groove too since the whole pandemic started last year and yet to get it back. Am taking it day by day juggling family, housework and full time office job as well as squeezing in some ‘me’ time when possible.

My tip.
Try to leave your washer after each use.
Dry gasket in the washer.
Do a monthly wash with a washing machine cleaner.
May be that way can take away the smell😄.
I do leave it open every time and run those tablets 1-2 times a month. I've done that since the beginning and I think it helps a tiny bit! ♥️

I’m super late commenting but I’ve had health issues the passed two weeks and I finally got results back thanks to a good friend but I wanted you to know Joanna I always watch you’re videos and you’re so strong and wanna say thank you for continuing on making these videos! I just blew half of my lung out it seems trying to blow up balloons for my daughter's party this past weekend and I told my husband that we are FOR SURE investing in an electric blower-upper-thingy for balloons, so PERFECT TIMING on that suggestion (and the arch!) His party looked perfect - and the video from your family channel was so funny with him giving his dollars away lol!

As u said life is busy im sure many followers feel the same and many of us are anyway not able to watch yt videos when they come out,we just check it if it is up and try to watch it as soon as we can😊 i guess,regularity is more important: like if we know you atr posting 1-2 videos per week,or every second week,i dont think the day matters. You are my fav.youtuber!🥳
As for church, ours has had the option to do zoom, so we do that. Our school has the option to go remote, and we're doing that, too. My daughter gets super sick. Whenever I get sick for two days my daughter gets sick for 2 weeks, refusing to eat, even. So I feel safer keeping her away. But I totally understand that other people feel safe going, and then they should do what they feel safe doing.

Goodness this means so much to me! ♥️ I wish I never had to overthink my posting days, but if you're not consistent in your uploads, TH-cam will completely kick you out of their algorithm and your videos start performing horribly. It's definitely been happening to me the past few months.
Hey, I have to share that I also always had problem with smell in my washing machine. I have since that, stopped to use softeners, and have substituted it by white vinegar and the smell is just gone! And my clothes are so much softer now! And at the same time, using vinegar ends up cleaning the washing machine in the process. These artificial softeners clog all the fibers with the time and end up making your clothes get hard with time. And the clothes do not smell like vinegar, if you are afraid of that. Besides that, if your washing machine is smelling bad, you should also clean the filter that can be found in the bottom side of the mashine. It accumulates all sort of things there

I got the same vacuum for Christmas. My daughter got it on Black Friday. I think it was $39. I love it. It has great suction. Did you go online and get your free filter? Hi Joanna - I'm new to your channel and love it! I'll watch your videos no matter when you post! ❤ I also love that you share things that you love (I got the shoe organizer after watching your video! 😊) I have a top loader washing machine and really never had an odor issue but recently, I did notice a musty smell even though I had done the cleaning cycle and always leave the lid up when not using. From Grove, I got the washing machine cleaner and deodorizer and LOVE it! I spray before the 1st load and after the last load ...no more issue w/ odor plus it has a great citrus smell.

Hi try using the washing machine cleaning tablets. Tide makes em and they have other brands. Toss and run a load with nothing in washer, made especially for this type of problem. Love ur videos!

I add a cup of baking soda to every load. I buy Arm&Hammer in the large bulk package. It helps considerably to combat hard water, and body odors on clothes. Sometimes I also add cleaning vinegar with the soda. The result is a sudsy reaction like a kids science experiment in my washer

I can look it up. But there are certain laundry detergents that helps. I know cutting the fabric softener out and those scent beads will help. We specialize in appliances.
I totally know I shouldn't use scent beads, but whyyyyy do they smell so good?! 😝 I don't think I've ever used fabric softener though, so at least I'm doing something right. 😂
@@JoannaThornton I use them sometimes for bedding. Everything in moderation. But that fabric softener is so gummy.

hmmm, i’m deeply thinking about procrastinating. it’s such torture. i’m horrible. i used to be worse. i try to be a giving and kind person. but in the past i was too giving and never put my needs first. you are the absolute sweetest and i see how you give back to us and respond to MILLIONS of comments. i’m sure you are like that with your friends and family. i wonder if you give too much, then not enough to yourself. do you think that could be part of why you procrastinate with youtube? i’m cool with whatever and whenever you post. this isn’t about me. i just wanna help ease the procrastinating. i get it. or maybe you do too much. what are your main priorities?
☝🏽 or say you want to post on a thursday, try to finish on a monday or tuesday. or is that completely unreasonable? i know how much hard, hard work the shooting the videos, ideas and editing take HOURS and HOURS.
did i read on instagram you gonna post 3 times a week? girl, eeeeeeeasy. that’s a HUGE jump. i’m a lot like you... wanting to do better and be better. but then when i wouldn’t, i’d beat myself up. a big part of my depression. my expectations used to be unattainable. 😩

The baking soda on the mattress is a genius idea, I need to try it, too.
My temple is having a soft reopening after 13 months of closure. My husband and I are both vaccinated (I get my second one beginning of April), so we will probably go back after that. It’s been hard to not have that for my kids, because so much of our community based relationships take place there. We have done outside stuff, like a drive in movie theater style gathering, but it’s not the same, and my kids hated not being able to get out and play with their friends.
