Togakushi Shrine, located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, is a majestic Shinto shrine nestled within a serene forest. Renowned for its historical and spiritual significance, it consists of five separate shrines, each dedicated to a different deity. The pathway leading to the main shrine is lined with towering cedars, creating a mystical atmosphere. The Togakushi shrines are named after the deity Togakushi-sama, but only three main shrines are recognized, while the other two are considered branch shrines.
1) Lower Shrine (Shimo-sha)
2) Middle Shrine (Naka-sha)
3) Upper Shrine (Kami-sha)
In this video, we are visiting the middle shrine and the lower shrine.
Unfortunately i didnt have time for the 35 minute hike from the parking lot to the upper shrine.
