I'm not sure how to ask you this question, but how do you feel Wartales is compared to BB? I am talking about the "feel" of the game, because I felt BB was more tense, engaging, immersive, and "active". If the question made sense to you, I personally feel Wartales is a much more emptier and simpler version of BB. So far, how do you feel about the game?
Thank you for the video BTW, I've been waiting for these series from you before I actually try and get into it like I did on BB.

Empty and simple? That's harsh. It doesn't have the mechanical depth of BB in combat. But it has a deeper RPG element than BB had. A unified lore that comes from having a settled world, as opposed to a procedural one. And there is no lack of jobs or stories in the world. Just the opposite, the game world feels like it would continue just fine without you.
The economics and combat of BB is deeper. But the paths and knowledge system in Wartales gives it a distinct place in it's own right. I think Wartales holds an interesting ground between BB and Bannerlord.

I'm really enjoying Wartales, and I'm trying to not constantly compare it to BB. They're fundamentally different approaches to a mercenary game, and while similar I don't think it's helpful to nag about how BB (which has been in development for like 8 years +) compares to a fresh release.
I second what Shawn says above 👍

The tactical combat leads to natural comparisons with BB. Wartales is more comparable to an isometric RPG like Baldurs Gate, Icewindale, Pathfinder, etc
The main difference is that it is open world and you have freedom to write your own story but it is not tactical focused like BB.
In a way it tries to do a lot things at the same just like their other game Northguard. So it does everything average instead of doing one thing great.
Its a tactics game, its a rpg, its an open world strategy, its a hidden object game, its a mini-games collection…

I’m the same, doing evil deeds even in a game makes me feel a little bit guilty. I wonder how much content I miss out on because of my conscience🤷🏻

What is the point of doing a guide when you havent even unlocked all professions? Is this another paid video?

It's to help people think about professions and how to strategize with them, not prescribe them the best profession per class. Viewers are empowered to critically understand the system, and when they find professions in their game they'll know how to analyze them :)
