  • Hurrem Lost The Thursday Night to Firuze! "TO BE THE SECOND WOMAN..."
    Magnificent Century Episode 72 👉 • Magnificent Century Ep...
    The heat is on with Firuze and Sultana Hurrem on the Magnificent Century...
    Sultana Hurrem proves her love for Suleiman one more time...
    Prince Mustafa takes Helena in his harem...
    Suleiman goes hunting with his princes taking Rustem Aga with him, as well.
    Ibrahim Pasha starts having meetings with French ambassadors...
    The rivalling between Sultana Hurrem and Firuze continues at full steam. Firuze believes that Sultana Hurrem loves Suleiman and tries to get Hurrem keep Hurrem away from Suleiman. She decides taking Thursday Night, which belongs to the chief consort, away from Hurrem at first.
    Suleiman goes hunting with his princes. Meanwhile, he tells Prince Mehmet about his dream that he gives clue about which prince he wants to give his throne.
    Sultana Hurrem decides using Nigar to drive a wedge between Hatice and Ibrahim. She sends Ibrahim and Nigar to the Marble Mansion at the same time. Hurrem personally tells about this rendezvous to Hatice. Meanwhile, Hurrem gets an unexpected chance to have as hold over Ibrahim.
    At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
    The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
    As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

    This would have been the perfect time for Hurrem to write a poem about her loyalty and heartbreak. Seduce Suleiman with her words and mind.

    Like Kosem once said that once you enter the palace you’re innocent is gone and Hurrem once said that there is no love in this palace only tears, sadness and blood. So Mahidevran was once like Hurrem and Hurrem once was Mahidevran, they will always be another younger, beautiful and smart (like late Valide Hafsa once said to Hurrem). Hurrem surpass them all by her intelligence, she knew loyalty was more important than love that how she caught the sultan heart.

      Yup. After they married he dissolved the Harem, and Hurrem obtained quarters closer to him. She gradually became Queen in everything but an anointed ceremony. I would say everything but in name but I’m fairly certain the title “Haseki” was a title that only Hurrem was allowed to use.
      Suleiman even gave her some diplomatic powers concerning relationships with Eastern Europe, and she helped him curb the Tartar raids on her home turf. The same sort of raids that captured Hurrem and took her on a path that led her to the palace and Suleiman. Anointed Queens in the west frequently were given diplomatic authority for affairs regarding their home country, since western Queens frequently came from nearby kingdoms/territories/countries and were part of a marriage alliance. Catherine of Aragon was Regent when Henry VIII went off to war, and I’m not sure if any of Henry’s other wives were given such privileges….then again Catherine was trained under her parents, Ferdinand and Isabella.

      @beckyweiss6072 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@BelaBela-mu9wi Actually, no. Suleiman married Hurrem after his mother passed away, and promptly dissolved the Harem when Hurrem was officially his wife. The concubines in the Harem were married off to various pashas and lower ranked lawmakers.
      Hurrem was given quarters far closer to Suleiman. She was given diplomatic influence over much of Eastern Europe, specifically in the area of modern day Ukraine (her homeland). Some correspondence between her and the King of Poland still survives. Hurrem was lauded by Europe as the Ottoman Queen, and there's a reason for that. She was given all of the trappings of a European Queen. The title Haseki? Created *only* for Hurrem. Granted, successive Sultanas used it, but in Hurrem's time period *she* was the only one that was allowed to use the title.
      For whatever stupid reason, the show runners decided Harem drama and backstabbing was more important than trying to pain an accurate view of what happened through what minimal resources they had. Making political intrigue surrounding Hurrem would have been *far* more accurate. She was heavily influential in curbing the Tartar raids. The same raids that had her kidnapped and eventually brought to Topkapi Palace.

    • @Catparentforever
      @Catparentforever หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@TimberlakeTigerGirl but the show never showed Gulfem and Suleiman being in love or some kind of memories. The prince had many womens at the same time and it's quite possible that he didn't fell in love. Also Mahidevran was with him for a quiet long,hard time like when his father wanted to kill him and his life in danger and having the only alive son from Mahidevran and some flashbacks of sanjek of Suleiman indeed speak she was his love. But Mahidevran wasn't shown as snatching or deliberately making plans to corner Gulfem or Gulfem having any memories of such days. They were quite normal with each other and they didn't have some grudge unlike Hurrem. Also Mahidevran was in love with the boy to man Suleiman. His hard and worst days to the day he became Badshah so obviously she was exceptional compared to others. Hurrem came and decided to seduce Suleiman only because she knew he's superior that's how she proceeded her plannings and actions.
