Nightfall: A Batman Story - Animated Movie (2023)

- Abbiselfa Animation Studios presents "Nightfall" a movie set in the DC universe. A group of very distinctive thieves steals a rare and valuable stone from Falcone's bank in Gotham. With a very loud escape they gather the attention from the police but also the Dark Knight who watches over the gloomy city of Gotham. Follow the group on their harrowing adventure through the darkness of the local sewer system, where danger lurks around every corner!
This was a one man project, so I tried my very best to do these well known characters justice, such as Batman, Gordon and Deathstroke. It was a very difficult task overall, and I really struggled at times. I wrote my own characters into this already known universe, and I hope you all will in some way connect with them. I had a great time making this film. It's not perfect at all, but I learned a lot from it.

It's not a batman story. It's a story with a sprinkle of batman in it. But i still like the concept and appreciate the work put into this.
Agreed. Poor animation..or rather..unrefined ? like children shows Thomas the Train or something similar but with less finish. Like almostat Playstation1 level....incongruent. Hampers the suspension of disbelief. That said, I'm grateful that it exists and I was able to see it, it takes dedication, talent, and faith to make something like this and the creators should be proud of themselves. I hope that they continue to produce content.
My expectations weren't very high going into this bit damn that was actually so good we need a sequel

This was a surprisingly good story. I love watching stories in The Gotham City sandbox. The moments of character development are great.

Excellent job on this movie! You did a fine job and it is a very enjoyable Batman movie that should be among the classic Batman movies.
I liked the point of view of low level criminals in over their heads. Very nice. Well worth the time watching. Now I guess I'll have to subscribe to see what other stories you have to offer. 😎

Carmine the roman Falcone, the my favourite Batman's villain.
Wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was. Or as adult. Atmospheric. Nice unfolding mystery. It's supposed to be "Professor Pyg", not "Doctor", and I don't think he would appear without his mask. Still, quite enjoyable and very well done. I hope you keep going. Curious how long this took to make?

@@mikaelwilson8049 For animation and modelling I used Blender. Then After Effects and Photoshop for some extra effects!

This is set in the DCEU??? Because if it is, does the opening sequence take place in the 'Knightmare' timeline? Is that stone connected to Dr. Fate? In any other case, well done.
Yes, this is supposed to be set in the DCEU. The opening scene is set in the main timeline, but is greatly inspired by the Knightmare scene from BvS.
And yes, Dr. Fate had the task to protect the stone, but after the events of Black Adam, it was under no observation.

I love the telltale style. Didn't need the Snyder verse references though. It wasn't needed. Flashes lightning should be yellow and not blue.

Sadly not. But I will release a new movie later this year, with another hero.

@@RasmusZiegler hi, sorry for responding so late. In the film, there was a part where a criminal in lured deeper into the sewer because he thought his friend was calling out to him. Was that Batman mimicking his friends voice to lure him away?

Yes, that was Batman using his tech, to mimick the voice of the criminal guys dead friend. First to scare him and drive him crazy. But also to lure him further away from his gang, so Batman could snatch him! :-)

So what the heck was that about with Batman and the Flash near the end?
Because I got so many questions?
Why did Batman/Bruce just leave the main leader/main character to get hurt by one of his Batarang sharp ends?
He already got the Philosopher's Stone/Diamond, and he already caught the dude, so he won't escape from the GCPD anyways.
So what's the point of the highly unnecessary torture of all things?
And about the Flash; Why and how does he know what's going to happen to the main thief anyways?
And why did he personally stop it?
And onto a different topic, you didn't give a voice over with both Batman and the Flash? Not even a few words or something?
I kind of understand Batman/Bruce being of a silent type sometimes.
But definitely not the Flash/Wally? Considering he can be a goofy chatterbox, but well-meaning superhero.
Anyways, I bet that Wally himself will have a long talk to Bruce about that unnecessary torture with the Batarang.
Thank you for the comment! The main idea of this story was to show how Batman would mess with these guys to their absolute breaking point.
Flash and Batman are very close in this story, so them working together to mess with Graves, felt very natural to me.
The voice for Flash didn’t satisfy me at all, so it was cut.

The overall movie bright/dim wise is too dark for me to see.
W.T.F??? Nightfall??? There is a DC Batman story by the title Knightfall about how Bane broke Batman's back and his struggle to get his mojo back but what is this??? I like the animation but if you tuned to see an animated version of Batman Knightfall, this ain't it!!!
There’s a reason why it’s called “Nightfall” and not “Knightfall”. This is a different story that I came up with.

So, batman risks something to happen that he never does n sets the guy up in a deathtrap - why exactly? So flash, who has no business, being there, can come to rescue him?
Mostly it was pretty cool, but this one part is just stupid. It's out of character 4 bats n pointless in general.
Bats would perhaps hold the rope himself n cut up,the face a little to get answers. He wouldn't tie a guy up in a perhaps lethal situation n run off, if keeping him there is all he wanted.
Even if death stroke damaged the mechanism, then there still was no need for the batarang, as if the cops don't know who's leaving tied gangsters on rooftops upside down in this city.
And wtf would flash free the gangster when he could just kick away the batarang?
Besides the low volume, there isn't much really bad, but with these two noteworthy mistakes packed into a combo, that makes this scene really standing out as a stinker.
Pretty unfortunate, that.

I dunno how I made it to the end of this. Guess I really wanted me some Batman. I had to fast forward through some of the first half, this was so slow and it never really got better. The animation style was like 90s CGI. This whole thing was a waste of time, IMNSHO.
