------------
In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.
"that's how you don't get stolen from the super market" god i love jon
I didn't get that one, is that a UK supermarket security thing?
@@SundaraRamanR there are some places in the US that have coin carts
@@StrawberryFeildsforNever So if a person is not from the UK, he's definitely from the US?
@@jasonronaldo3268 Most of Europe also has the coin system.
@@jasonronaldo3268 Yes. Those are the only 2 countries that have regular running electricity and access to the internet.
Super impressed with Katherine Ryan; the drawing, playing her own music, and the song was hilarious. And my god, the adorable little fistbump between Jon and Richard because they sung the same nursery rhyme..!
It was great but sadly it was kinda boring. It's sort of exactly how I felt about a lot of Kerry Godliman's tasks. The effort was clearly there but sadly there was very little consideration given to comedy.
It was impressive, but just not as funny as the others. It's a comedy show after all
WolfgangLMclain simp
@@dismissing i think you are forgetting that its just your opinion. if you think it as boring doesn't make it boring for others. and your opinion isn't better or something.
@@AnneliesvanOverbeek what are you implying with "but". they aren't obligated to do every task in funniest way, thats not the premise of the show. thats why most of the time in taskmaster you'd see people nailing the task with outside of box thinking or showing incredible talents like Katherine did here, which may or may not be funny.
The difference in effort and energy levels between Doc and Joe is everyone going into 2020 with good vibes and hopes versus how 2020 is actually shaping up.
2020 The year of Joe.
Doc punches salmons, Joe punches toasters.
Which contestant would be 2021?
Joe Wilkinson constantly had the energy of a divorced dad of 2 with 3 mortgages on his house whose decision upon coming home every day was whether he should finally bring out that rope or not.
Can confirm that Johnson's Wheelbarrows are the best wheelbarrows on the market, though I don't recommend using it for drinking tea out of.
Good for riding to ram a bin of bricks head on though.
Can i borrow your Wheelbarrow?
@@benwusten5179 No, you have to buy your own Johnson's Wheelbarrow.
@@joshshinn1329 argh....
Joe may have lost the show, but he sure won our hearts.
Thats his strategy on every show
When he jacks in the task (here, eat an egg) it's cheeky and hilarious. When he tries (the potato toss, the build the highest bridge) it's heartbreaking and hilarious.
@Ameer Terrence shaddup bot
@Atlas Gary last time i saw you guys, you guys were on league of legends
@Atlas Gary You're right, nobody cares.
The chaotic horror energy that john gives me in that video makes me incredibly attracted to him
Yeah. I feel like i just learned something new about my own sexuality.
Kinda hate that I agree with this
What is wrong with you people 😂😂😅
Katherine Ryan whispering "Go to the dentist" to me evokes an emotion that didn't exist beforehand
She did it for the British
Did you go to the dentist?
This better not awaken anything in me
ngl genuinely attracted to doc brown punching the fish
Attracted to Doc Brown period
Personally, 2:25 did it for me....
Victoria MK Doc Brown is properly fit, though.
clarification: doc brown was already attractive, but in my book his hotness levels increased upon witnessing him punching the fish
I’ve literally rewatched this so many times because doc’s song is so catchy. I would have it as my ringtone if i could
clip it and set it as your ringtone, that would be hilarious
Making a rap song based on nursery rhymes is the last thing I expected to see before I die. 🤣🤣🤣
Cypress Hill, "Insane in the Brain": "These Pigs wanna Blow My House Down!"
RIP

Are you talking about Doc Brown, or Katherine Ryan?
The chaotic energy of Richard’s video revived me
Greg: "That's incredible! It's like an audition for Glee."
Katherine's entire soul, wordlessly: "I *will* end you."
Jon's video has some amazing visual storytelling. The pacing of it, the escalation; it was just superb.
As someone who didn't know the original nursery rhyme, I can't express how completely confused and horrified I was at the imagery like "wtf how is this a nursery rhyme". Thought Jon Richardson did a bit by making it creepier than it is but no holy shit the lyrics are basically that hahaha.
Doc's song is probably my favourite thing that's ever happened on this show. It's so annoyingly catchy 😂
E
Yeah, but is it better than “Tree Wizard”?
yall cant tell me the dude in the suit doesnt look like all the beatles mashed together
There are four men wearing suits
@@daydodog And yet we all understood this person was talking about Richard Osman.
@@MordecaiXLII by all you mean you
Doc Brown owns this task :)
Jon's video is one of the highlights of the whole of taskmaster
1:58 Jon
3:35 Katherine
5:43 Richard
7:47 Doc
9:09 Joe

One of the funniest/most inventive tasks this show has ever seen.
Although I still think Osman should've gotten more points for the wheelbarrow ad alone
Jon is definitely the funniest outside of the tasks. He's witty as hell
"Bunnies don't like him!"
"Snow Bear, innit."
Do you have a time stamp? :D
@@kathleesi 4:07? Paul Chowdhry's "snow man bear", less the "snow flavor"-ed blue slush puppy, innit.
Glad you're not censoring it. It makes it funnier than the pling noise.
I think the "Bleep" noise is usually done in American tv showsxD At least based on watching Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell of USA versus UK
@@niesson9456 So kitchen nightmares usa is in morse?
It's incredible how they all did different things.
When Joe Wilkinson, of ALL people, calls what you just did "so weird", you should probably seek professional help
"Aw Joe, it's gonna be shit innit mate?"
A peanut sat on the railroad track and his heart was all a flutter
Then ‘round the bend came number ten and toot toot peanut butter
I've already seen them all but they're all still so good!!😂😂
"I'm thinking and I find you really distracting" is sort of an everyday feeling
Tried to punch the "skip ad button" on Osman's commercial, put a hole through my screen protector.
I am crying laughing at Joe Wilkinson
for a short second there Joe was like "wait, I'm not a rapper..."
this is one of my favorite tasks ever on the show and i love docs video
Easily one of the best tasks of the show
jon's video will never fail to make me laugh!!
As an elementary music teacher, this brought me immeasurable joy
I won't be able to get over this version of 'Old McDonald'😂😂😂
An ad played right between the parts like an actual ad break
The more times I'm rewatching the series (5th seeing right now) the more I appreciate the songs (Katherine, Doc, Jon).
I also googled "Choo Choo Peanut Butter" turns out it's an actual jingle.
Jon is hands down my favorite British TV personality
This was definitely one of the best tasks. I loved all of their attempts, and even their initial reactions to the task ww
"That's how you don’t get stolen from supermarkets."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I knew Katherine's peanut-song. My English teacher in 5th grade always ended his lessons on a limerick, a nursery rhyme or an English joke. I was really confused when the audience laughed as if it were a weird thing since it has been living in my head as something "typically English" for more than two decades now.
I forgot how Katherine's Canada makes an appearance here. I'm from the US, and even I said, "Uh...what?"
I'm Canadian and I've never heard that nursery rhyme.
@@alexbarron2876 The first one she was singing, or the one she made up?
@@TeamPaul17 The first one, since I obviously wouldn't have heard the one she made up.
I'm from the US and we had a cd with the peanut butter nursery rhyme on it.
Up until today I thought the peanut butter one was made up as well. Wtf kind of nursery rhymes do they have over there?
"It's gonna be shit, isn't it mate?"
"Yeah..."
At first glance I thought Katherine was Amy from the infamous Amy Baking Company episode of Kitchen Nightmares.
Same honestly lol
10:02 greg’s teacher past showing once again
Richard killed that
i need a full version of doc's song
This is one of my favorite tasks
Katherine should have got the first place, that was amazing 😂😂
It was definitely the most true to nursery rhymes, it just wasn’t funny. And the points are rewarded for the comedy, not realism
@@had1toomany114 not true, the task specifically mentioned "for children" which is why Katherine didn't crossed that pg line to be more funnier like the other guys who just simply added curse words or sinister characters . hence she did exactly what task asked for in the best way.
@@had1toomany114 it was funny as well.
@@zeuxlaught2797 It actually didn’t mention “for children”. The task was simply “Make the best music video for a nursery rhyme”, and, in my opinion, Doc’s and Jon’s nursery rhymes were either great or just funny as hell, and the ranking was justified.
Joe's video was my favorite !!!
convinced that Katherine Ryan made that song specifically for the Brits lol
Bahaha in Canada, we sing hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle.
This is like watching students present their projects istg
I mean...
This cast and Series 4 cast are my favorites!
The fish nursery rhyme is not popular in the USA. But I've been singing it to my kids and other children for 30 years. So I was really surprised that one was chosen. Lol
i just wanna see these 5 constants no one else pls
"I punched that fish in the face so many times."
Can't lie the dirty tooth song made me book my next dentist appointment
i found this show during covid isolation ... 1st.. Katherine Ryan is beautiful, 2nd, I am always late on the "at home tasks" but i still do them, alone, and just show my friends who have no idea what is going on hahaha.. and 3rd, Thanks for the laughs, you can come to Canada anytime! ill buy front row tickets!
the best task execution ever ; D
I can't stop watching, help! I need to go to bed!
That one dude looks like an old James Buckley
Joe Wilkinson
Richard could have won this if he let Greg borrow his Johnnson's Wheelbarrow
Not sure Katherine appreciated that ruling. I felt she deserved better myself.
there is no way they do this in 1 hour.... by themselves.... NO WAY.
"It's no more disturbing than a peanut getting fucked up by a train."
Neil would support the punching of the fish.
"this is Katherine's video" *Cuts to pokemon go ad* 😂
Still love the show, but this series was way funnier than the more recent ones...
@WolfgangLMclain I'd agree that the last series had worse guests than earlier series
@WolfgangLMclain that's most certainly a part of it, but I've watched this before and now again and enjoy it more than more previous seasons even though I already knew what was coming, so there is that...
nothing better than the season 4 & 5 with really flamboyant contestants like Noel Fielding or Bob Mortimer.
@@heppolo Except for 7 with Rhod and James Acaster
I know the peanutbutter song! But it went A peanut sat on a railroad track, his heart was all a-flutter. Along came a choo-choo train (choo choo choo-choo!) [deep voice] Peanut Butter
Series 2 was the greatest. I loved all of them
Ray This was an all star cast, a tour de force of comedic talent.
Hey didle didle the cat and the fiddle the cow jumped over the moon, the little god laughed to see such fun and the dish ran away with the spoon
Recorded the U.S. airing of Taskmaster on Sunday. Tried to watch it with my family today. It only recorded 45 seconds. So disappointed. Hopefully we'll have it sorted for next week.
This comment didn't age well :( At least it's on CW seed. I swear we Americans ruin everything!
How does no one know of the peanut one? It was always my favourite
I had no idea British people had different nursery rhymes. I though our rhymes came from Britain.
They butcher the cat and the fiddle rhyme that Frodo wrote. Tolkien confirms he wrote it in the book Fellowship of the Ring.
not me only finding out through this video that jon richardson is younger than doc brown.......
The Genesis of Nursery Crimes.
We need Joe to read Cbeebies storytime lol
This is definitely the strongest TM cast lineup to date. Everyone is genuinely funny. Some of the other seasons are just bleh
All brilliant...James the dirty tooth...I'm forwarding to my nephews....
Jon Richardson's was the best😂
😂 beautiful!
Greetings from Finland. The only performance I laughed out loud was Joe's. It would have definitely deserved 5 points.
I want to make this show in the US, but the budget seems quite high XD
My grandad used to sing peanut on a railroad track
poor fish xD
I spit my soup at that here an oink there an oink
TIL that Three Blind Mice and Hot Cross Bun have the same melody
Greg: Aahh Joe, it's going to be shit isn't it?
Joe: Yeah..
Katherine should have been placed first.
4:40
5:50
who else got an ad after Richard's song and ad.
hands down probably the best season
thumbnail is scary
The British nursery rhymes are...different to say the least
Genuinely all of these were really good. Maybe except joes but even that wasnt cringy, just a bit lazy.
I loved watching Joe just phone it in
I learned hey diddle diddle as:
Hey diddle didde, the cat played the fiddle and the cow jumped over the moon. The little dog laughed to see such a sport and the dish ran away with the spoon.
Anyone else?
Their “cat did a piddle “ version is the equivalent of kids singing “Jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg.” It just a jokey version, not the true lyrics.
💜
nothing in the task said it had to be for children
