I don't snowmobile or plan on ever snowmobling, but for some reason will watch every new upload from Matt.
I used to traill from 70ies late 90ies .I no I could not do they make look so easy.
I love watching it but I really love traill seeds.
Snowmobiling is a incredible sport highly recommend it

Really enjoy your videos, it's nice to see someone that can ride the tree's without jumping from one side of the sled to the other and still enjoy themselves. Also like seeing that you respect your equipment and not taking unnecessary risks knowing that if you wreck your machine you have your choice of 6 other machines back at the trailer to ride. I'm in the middle of N.Y. and have not had enough snow to ride this year so being able to watch your video makes me won't to venture out of the state's for better snow!!
NY here too, down on LI but i have property up around Tug Hill. Haven't been up there yet this season, I really hope presidents week sets up ok because I'm going up either way lol... You ride the tug hill area or more western NY>?

The 9R seems to love to go across the hill but when you ask it to move upwards it seems to like to take it's time, lol! Probably a great lower elevation sled but you definitely cover more ground and faster on your turbo days.
Well, 150hp vs 200hp will do that! Remember, the 9r is only 180hp at sea level. He's riding 6000'+, on a 155 in deep snow.
Also, his boost has a 165 3.25 track and the doos have a 3". The little 2.75" just can't paddle quite as hard. 😂

Its really quite amazing how well the Matryx can sidehill and get itself unstuck. There's definitely a need to have both a g5 and a matryx in the stable though.
The G5 can be more fun when the snow is right.
The matrix slash is just easy to look good on in just about any snow.
@leftyeh6495 for sure. I have a matryx slash and it never ceases to amaze me how it can be so fun on shitty snow conditions. However when its ultra deep I envy the doo. I'm gonna get a g5 turbo anyway just to have both for different conditions. Ive rode one and it was so much fun that I cant not get one. Lol

Riding dirt bikes in sunshine today in northern California. Hoping for snow.
Matt, just wondering what sled you have had over all of your riding that you enjoyed the most. Mine would probably be my first. First year silver phazer. Now i ride mostly polaris but have had everything but arctic cat.

I don’t care what anyone else says. That 9R looks sexy af with the wrap and just the overall styling design of the plastics and tunnel shape 🔥🤙😎. The trails in remind me of going ice fishing into lakes here in Ontario 🤦♂️🤣😂 willow bashing and breaking trail to the remote spots .

I laughed my ass off at the end when someone made the comment about the trail conditions were the same as Ontario. I was thinking just before buddy said it that's not dissimilar to the trail conditions in northern NB. Rocks, roots and dirt.
Add 1kg on your skihandles and find out how much it affect to turn when skis are on air. It slowdowns little bit wheelie and could couse ski sinking becouse bushing tip to down. But worth of trying

Wonder how well the new polaris 3.25 track would work under the 9R. It will never be a boost but as far as NA's go, its hard to beat! Love the way it sounds!!

I’d break a trail like that for 3 miles just to get to ride with you! I haven’t had any rideable snow all year and when we do have it, I find fun in the willows!

@@MuskokaFreerider165 Boost 100%. When you were riding with Kesterke that was the best riding I’ve seen. You ride the most confident and aggressive on it. I do like the 154 doo too!

@@chrisborresona.sc.t2178 you hand calculate that? My Duramax and my power stroke both lie to me. The fun thing is they lie more or less based on which tire size and how worn they are.
Changing your driving habits is the cheapest and the reason you can't really compare.
One of my guys gets 19mpg in his Duramax, but he rarely gets above 65mph. I get 15mpg in mine, but I drive 45 minutes at 80mph and then the same route as him the rest of the day.
My drive is 40 miles further, and I have to fuel twice as often and use way more def.

They don't really add anything but a different sound. They're a pain, they don't make power, and they're half the cost of a turbo.
Only sleds I've seen make power also had the SLP heads, vohlk tune, etc. Those guys were complaining SLP couldn't even get them a working tune. 😂
What it really needs is a boondocker setup for 100ll or 110 race gas.

Loud cans are. Used to be everyone had to have that extra 2hp. Now we've figured out the only reason to run a can is to drop weight. And we can keep them quiet without losing horsepower.
A lot of mountain cans are straight through and actually lose power, as they let the pipe get too cold. 😂
And or set off the detonation cause of the vibration

6:10 this is why you always wear a helmet, even something you've done hundreds of times can go bad.. Sometimes its not even your fault... But his helmet likely prevented a serious or at the very least incredibly scary injury.

I have an old pro with a 10 year old track that is just now showing cracking. Think it's missing 1.5 lugs.
I was riding mud to get to the snow a few days ago. It still looks exactly like it did the day before. Only time I trimmed those lugs I spun out on a sharp rock.
