      My Victor is GREAT. Can you tell me what and how you sprayed onto the stem to get rid of the creak?

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Toddzilla!
      It's CRC white lithium grease. It helps to loosen the bolts, spray both sides (try to get it down the hole too), then also spray up above the bolts and work it into the space between the stem and stem holder. Might help to lube the hinge and clamp too.
      If you search for CRC 5037 you'll find it. Handy stuff. -Paul

      @@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide ok thank you very much! This is so helpful, I thought I just wasn’t tightening the locks enough. So- are you actually removing the stem from its base (right above the hinge)? Thank you again!

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to remove the stem. Just loosen the bolts a couple turns, squirt the spray grease in there, work it around and tighten back down. Should only take 5 minutes. -Paul

      Hey guys! I was injured on my scooter in June 2021, and I haven't been able to ride my 2 scooters since. I know I need to cycle the batteries (charge/discharge, store when battery pack is half full, etc) to keep them healthy. I was going to tape down the accelerators and raise the scooters to have the battery packs discharge, but then I thought I remembered watching a video where they had a device to discharge the battery quickly and safely. Can anyone point me in the right direction???

    I would have been sorely tempted to buy the Victor if it arrived in my country just a month earlier. After purchasing a monster performance 11inch tire scooter I sometimes miss the nimble handling of a 10x3 class one. Speed and range of the Victor would be enough for my needs..

    Idk, im still happy with my speedway 4 with 30ah battery + 21ah extended battery. Maybe if the next gens of scooters go with a lil more range, thats the point where im gonna upgrade.

    Love those detachable rims !

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They're cool. I found out the hard way that you can't treat them like the tubeless rims on the Storm and just start loosening. The same bolts that hold the rims to the motor on the Victor also hold the rims to each other. When you get down to one or two screws (after forgetting to let the air out) the pressure separates the wheels and will break off the remaining tab on the rim. I should have noticed it before I got that far, but was really thinking the rims would have their own fasteners to hold them together. If they did, then it would be much easier to swap rims i.e. switch from road to dirt, if you had two sets of rims. I'm including that info in the written review. :-) -Paul

    Can I add my 2 cents to this review ?
    I had a Dualtron 3 and it served me well for 2.7 years. It was stolen 2 weeks ago and replaced by my by my magnificent insurance company.
    It does appear at least on paper that the victor and DT 3.0 are very similar in almost spec.( if your not have the tubeless tire convo)
    It is a great scooter apart from a bit of stem play. I can recommend it as one of the best work scooters in the market at the moment.

    How does the rubber suspension feels like compared to spring shocks or hydraulic?
    It’s just those little things that common on other scooters and are lacking on this one.
    What do you guys think of SOLAR R1 scooter?

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Rubber suspension is pretty great. Its the lightest way to do suspension, and what I like most about it, is that it also acts as a damper. A really good hydraulic shock is best, but even the adjustable shocks on the BURN-E are only a little better than good rubber suspension. The Vsett's rear shock is also probably a little better than rubber, but the Vsett's front spring has no damping (like almost all springs on scooters) so it's a little jittery up front. -Paul

      I think I can lift either of them.
      In regards of buying…..
      Well,..I don’t really like Dulatron’s because of three reasons.
      1.They lack of some basic equipment that odder cheaper scooters have.
      2.They utilize rubber suspension, which doesn’t strike me as a real deal.
      3.They are overpriced in my opinion.

      The Victor is more compact and it's faster (top speed), but the Vsett is much quicker from a start. It really depends on riding style. The Victor has a smoother style and is easier to corner with because the throttle is less abrupt. The Victor has a real EY3 display, which is much easier to read. The stems on both are really really good, but the Vsett's is other-worldly good. On the other hand the Victor's handlebars don't wiggle. But the Vsett handlebar angle is more comfortable for me.
      They're both really really good. I could pick them apart all day, but I'd be really happy with either. -Paul

    Hey I think my Victor must be faulty then. I have no idea how you got 40 miles of real world range. I did a 20 mile commute to school from full charge and only had 55 volts remaining at the end of the ride. Also near the last 3 miles my display would flash as it could not handle the pull of the acceleration. I was always in turbo mode, speed mode 3 and would switch between dual and single motor. Average cruising speed was 25-35mph. What settings did you have on for your 40 mile range test?? I feel like I could have gotten 30 miles max at the settings I was at.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The display starts flashing a while before you reach the end of the battery. I was riding in dual motor, gear 3 with battery save off. My typical top speeds were in the 25 mph range. Chuck and I both weigh 165 lbs.
      Alex Simon of Scoot America found that when he rode scooters across the US, there was a pretty drastic drop in range on all scooters above 25 mph.
      What tire pressure were you running? -Paul

    • @FloWithZo
      @FloWithZo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Hey Paul, thanks for a quick response!
      Seems like we were at similar settings with dual motor and gear 3, were you in eco mode? as my top speed in eco mode with those settings is 25-27mph. I was in turbo mode and was cruising between 25-40mph on certain parts of road.
      I also weigh 165LBS
      As for the display flashing that is why I said I probably could do 30 miles max as an estimate that it flashed on my 20mi ride.
      I was running 40ishPSI. I also have the DT3 rim + tubeless tyre set up if that might make a difference on my range.

      You're right! But, this is the only >45mph production scooter we know of that fits! It's also 5" shorter than some of its competitors, but its hard to say that in 3 words or less, so we boiled it down to 45mph - Fits! :-) -Paul

      The simple fact is many do not.
      Some of the more robust scooters weigh over 100 lbs.

      @allemander, I rode a 125lb beast scooter 55 miles today. Kicked my butt! That scooter will be in the next video. -Paul

    Sorry, it $2.7k. That’s a deal breaker. And anything over 65 lbs, really 60 lbs is ridiculous to utilize if you are not a weight lifter and have a staircase to deal with. I would prefer less speed (to 32 mph) and range (to 30 miles) to lessen the weight (under 60 lbs) and price tag (less than $2k)

      @@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide hi, so yea for the price i didn’t find anything better at the time and this is maybe eight months ago it’s been great I have a xiomi M365 I got to say the quality on that is probably a little better but the performance on the mantis is way better all And all for the money I’m pretty happy when a new scooter comes out that’s lighter than mine and as fast or faster and the same range or more range for around 1500 to maybe $900 max I would buy it

    As someone left car-less after an EF-4 tornado and unsatisfied with the Ninebot and HX scooters I have, I’m interested, but $2,700?! Get lost. I could get another car for that.
