    7:38 In Taiwan, when the filling of pan-fried buns is cabbage, it is usually mixed with pork or small shrimp.
    I checked online food recommendations and found that the filling at this stall should be cabbage + small shrimps.😘

    In my opinion, Keelung Miaokou Night Market is the highest desity of delicious food in Taiwan. I had heard that the premium for some stall in that market worth 10m ntd a year. My favorite is the Nuitrious Sandwich. I miss them all the time.

    08:40 This sandwich has a connection with the United States. In the 1960s, the US military was stationed here. To express nostalgia, it was made with local ingredients. This sandwich is different from the traditional American sandwich.

    The steam/pan fried bun should be pork fillings, with lots of cabbage and maybe little shrimp.
    The nutritious sandwich isn't nutritious at all because the bun is deep fried. 😂 The white sauce inside is mayonnaise, however mayonnaise in Taiwan is sweetened with sugar. This is why it's so sweet.

    • @TalesFromOurPocket
      @TalesFromOurPocket  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was very excited that something deep fried was called "nutritious". 😂😂

  • @geol.

    Sounds like another great evening in Taiwan!
    They use dried shrimp in the steamed & pan fried bun stuffing, and that's probably why it tastes like fish in the stuffing. About the "nutritious sandwich," there's probably lots of sugar in both the bread dough and the mayo sauce.

    • @TalesFromOurPocket
      @TalesFromOurPocket  ปีที่แล้ว +4
