I think khamzat is a legitimate middleweight contender provided he can meet the following two conditions: he needs to be able to impose his will as a wrestler against a big 185er like Costa or whittaker, and he needs to show he can put on a good five round showing. If he does those things I think the hate will disappear. I also believe people aren't giving him credit for Visa issues slowing down his activity since Russians really struggle to travel after the Ukraine war.
As for shavkat, I just don't see how he gets it done against Leon. After watching Leon's distant management completely shut down one of the most effective pressure fighters in Colby Covington, leon looks pretty flawless where shavkat has already showed weakness against leeser fighters. I think he needs another serious test before getting a title shot as wonderboy is not it.

I feel like is impirtant for both figthers and the 170 DIV that we get de JDM vs Shavkat. Basically because the UFc can afford to only offer superfights out of title defenses or interims. We need more big 3 three of lightweight in other divisions and at the sabe time pushing talent Who offers gratis matchups betwwen them.

I think it is unfair to compare Khamzat's past performances to Shavkat. Khamzat has fought much better competition. If khamzat had the performance Shavkat had against Geoff Neal, Khamzat would have gotten clowned and people would have said he lost his hype.

He lost his “weight bullying” advantage at 170 and the savages at the top of middleweight are not intimidated.
On the other hand, Shavkat will absolutely be challenging for the belt at 170, and I give him at least a 50/50 shot, if not greater.

Khamzat took his rich exit in Chechnya already. Already has massive social status and luxury status in that country thanks to putting them on the map in a huge way. Same thing happened to Khabib who was gifted $20m worth of property by Vladimir Putin.
