Full Enchanted Tales with Belle experience in New Fantasyland at Walt Disney World

In September 2012, Walt Disney World offered early previews of the Enchanted Tales with Belle experience behind the construction walls of New Fantasyland. This video shows the entire experience, beginning outside the new Cinderella Castle courtyard walls, continuing into Maurice's Cottage and into Beast's Castle to meet Madame Wardrobe and Lumiere as Audio-Animatronics figures and ultimately share a story with Belle. This was shot on its final day of testing, with some tweaks and changes since the beginning of its previews. The experience will open on November 19, 2012.
We were just at Disney earlier this month. That mirror/door was one of the coolest things I have seen Disney do. I am 36 and I am impressed by it, I can only imagine how truly magical it is for a kid to see that happen only a few feet in front of them. My daughter absolutely loved this experience.

The audio animatronics are very amazing. The wardrobe is very advanced. Being able to actually make the lip movements for all of the letters is very advanced.
OMG when the mirror turned into the door that was so amazing!!!!!!! if i was a kid i would have freaked out! these kids were like ehhh it's nothing lol.

Think about this: you're the parent, seeing your child meet their favorite princess & possibly childhood hero. Your child's face light's up with a smile, ear-to-ear. He/she is beeming, and because they are so happy, YOU are happy, too. That's what Walt created, and desired: happiness for all future families and generations, and he succeeded.
I'm sorry, but why is nobody else FREAKING OUT about those amazing animatronics in Lumiere? I actually thought he was a frickin' animated CGI projection on a screen at first.
I'm freaking out! I'm never seen anything like that and I'm a scientist.

***** Lumiere has arms behind his own, the same color as the curtains. Still amazing, I think they're still animatronic, but it could easily be a puppeteer with the system that's back there. Even if it is a puppeteer, it's an amazing effect....someone had to point it out to me and I still had to see the show a second time to notice.
A few years ago, my little sister was the wardrobe and my little brother was the beast... he got a kiss from her and she was so nice. I didn't get a part but I didn't really care it was cool to watch them have fun and my little brother and sister play apart in this. It was so much fun. My brother was the loudest roar and my sister sang the loudest we still have the videos and pictures... love ya disney
I personally thought this was a really nice addition to the Fantasyland. The costumes, setting and the characters appeared authentic and you felt like you were in the movie. After exiting I asked my 6 year old niece if she liked it and she said, "I thought it was going to be a ride!" I love how she was so set on going on a ride and didn't even appreciate that she experienced Belle's castle =)
Mine was the same exact way. It seemed like I was more excited about seeing the princesses than she was lol
I knew it was going to be a walkthrough. About a year ago I got to test it out.

I remember doing the belle experience when I was 6 my brother was the beast and he was so shy and nervous I still have photos of it and it’s so nostalgic 🥰
When I did this, I was the beast. My five year old Disney loving heart adored this ride!

wow, that Lumiere candle was amazing. It must look so real for the kids because it even looks real to me! Really made it come alive.
I was skeptical of this attraction at first, but after experiencing it, I applaud everything about it. It was so much fun to be a part of, even as an older kid! The special effects were spectacular. Thank you, Disney, for making a part of my childhood that I love so much come to life!
Man I wish I could go back to this. I was always the beast anytime I went!
Liked the picture of Belle with her mom. Disney should consider doing a prequel movie with Belle as a child growing up with her mom and dad.

I was there in February 2018. And got to play a plate. So when we marched around the room I actually spin the plate like it was rolling around the room. And the Magic Mirror that connects the Workshop and the Castle was the most surprising thing. I have no trouble believing it is real. Best Trip to Florida ever!
nearly 3 years later and I STILL haven't been to new fantasyland even though I was in Disney world last summer ;( luckily I am going this April hopefully I'm not too late to see all the new tech
I love how well the actors and actresses bring the Childhood stories to life. And the characters like Lumiere and the mirror were amazing. I can't wait to see it in person in 2 years..
He was also a big fan of progress, expansion, and change. With the technology avaliable today, I think he would've personally supervised a project like this. And with animatronics like these, he would've gotten to see his movie, more or less, come to life.
That audio animatronic is amazing!!!!
This was so cool! Belle has always been my favorite and during this, just a little over a week ago in fact, my husband got chosen to be one of the suits of armor.

The animatronics absolutely take my breath away! I'm afraid of ride ones because I have this thing where it looks real but not real enough, I get scared because it doesn't look natural. But these guys look so good, I don't feel as frightened as I would be.
I was lucky enough to experience this attraction in early November. My friends are close friends with a CM, and he was able to get us dress rehearsal wristbands for the afternoon. I don't really remember the first room very well--I was still in shock that I was in New Fantasyland (he kept it a surprise until he handed us our wristbands)! The attention to detail was so incredible, and when the mirror opened...totally wasn't expecting that. :) The whole attraction was so fun and so well done!

That was very cute. Being a few years before grandkids, we didn't visit this attraction (instead favoring the rides for an older crowd). I am sure the little ones will enjoy this very much.
The animitronics are amazing...& this is very cute...hopefully I'll take my little sister there one day...
I like how you transport from the house to the castle. It's actually a neat callback to the original fairytale.
The magic mirror effect is the same as the D23 expo... Nice to see them using the Expo as a way to test new effects!

The Link Chamber of Flight of Passage and the Magic Mirror are the 2 best practical effects to grace Disney's Orlando parks in years.

belle looks gorgeous in the gown! I love the gloves and the yellow hair tie! exquisite gown with the layers and the bows. I wish they had made Emma Watson's gown more similar to this dress in the movie. Stunning costuming!
they are given a bookmark that reads "you'll always be part of my favorite story" its nothing to great but its a cute way of saying goodbye ^^

They didn't pick any older kids to take part D= . I mean, yeah i guess the attraction is more for smaller kids , but i must admit even though im 22 i really wanted to take part
BlackValleyRequiem I’m 15 and going to Disney land Paris in 2021 I can’t waitttt to meet belle . I think it’s a bit rude as a lot of kids never got to experience Disney so go as adults :(

I have been to disney so many times but i’ve only done this a couple of times. I remember the first time I did it, I was about 4-5, and all the kids (old and young!) tried out for roles before we saw belle. I was so excited to participate.The lady gave me the beast and I was so excited! My beast growl wasn’t as good as other kids so i was so surprised! (reminder i was probably the youngest girl)
That is the most enthusiastic roar I have ever heard.

that feeling where you are frightened is called "the uncanny valley"
I think the castle decor definatly needs more justice, watching in this video it doesn't make me feel like its the same library as the movie.
The animatronics are amazing, but it would be even more great if they had some of the other main characters such as mrs. potts and chip and cogsworth. Also, i heard that only guests who were chosen to act out the story with Belle were given an opportunity after to have a photo taken with her. It should be available to all guests at the attraction.

The mirror affect was just using projectors and the mirror was a screen door.

I haven't been on that place specifically but i have been in disney world before. usually all the lines are from 1 hour- 2 hours waiting time. one time i waited like 3 hours. the lines are huge, unless u have an express pass. then you can skip everyone

Angela Last The lines for this aren't bad at all. The mine train is sucking out most of the people now (Sept. 2014). You shouldn't have more than a 20 minute wait.

...I'm 17. I'm going to Disney World this December. I will definitely be hitting this up. No matter how old you are, there is nothing better than hearing your favorite Disney story told with your favorite Disney princess.
Yikes. I get that it's an intimate setting and great for photos with Belle, but the concept of having the cast members drag everyone through the motions really detracts from the experience.
There are 2 theaters after you see the wardrobe. Though, the lines will still be ridiculous cus it is a pretty lengthy experience
