I love the first market you visited. There's a great candy store (which Mali walks by at 7:05) and a fantastic spice shop there. I also like the temple. It's hidden away and provides a great repreive from the crowds. I always visit that alley when I go to Chinatown.

Do the traders there buy/sell/acknowledge gold sovereigns? It would be useful to know more about the gold trade in detail.
Some of those restaurants in Chinatown are utterly rammed at night. The food is sensational, but it's not relaxing.

Nearly all Thai gold is 23 carat, not 24 carat. Most Indian gold is 22 carat.

23 karat gold in Thailand is stamped as 96.5 pure

That market is huge you could spend days there and not see every thing have a look at bayoke 1 and 2 markets as well huge too take it easy

Hey mate. What has happened to Mali. I just met her this weekend, I was playing over age football in a 2 day comp and Mali was doing the promotional stuff. She was really good. Any chance you will be doing work with her again?
Yes I make videos with Mali periodically. The last one we did was on the river just a month ago so probably in another month or two. She's very busy with her promotional stuff so sometimes it's hard to get hold of her
Thanks for showing the river Peter. I have been on that river on my trip to Bangkok. Also went to the floating market in Bangkok. Any chance you can someday take a trip to Nai Lert Park to the hotel there? I stayed in that hotel in the 90's when I believe it was a Radisson. I believe it is the Swissotel. Was there for Loi Krathong.

I bought 1 chain in China town & the other two I bought in Pattaya. When I was in Phuket I noticed they didn’t have a wide selection to choose from like in Pattaya or Bangkok
The two places I would strongly recommend to buy gold are 1, Chinatown and 2 the mbk mall
I've stood outside many a gold shop and once I went in and noticed nothing is priced.and when I asked how much a bracelet was they used a calculator for 30 seconds and showed me the price .needless to say I didn't buy because I didn't know if it was a scam or not
The reason nothing is priced up in a gold shop is because gold in Thailand is a commodity at the moment the price is 32,200 baht per Bart of weight. It sounds like you went into a tourist scam shop because they regular gold shop would never attempt this

Congratulations with Mali you got lucky there. At first I was like hmmm… that’s a new concept, let’s see how it plays out, so I remained neutral. But now I must say, she grows on you, and you can tell she makes an effort. She’s a keeper😊 a great addition to your channel, makes the channel more vibrant and dynamic, and I’m sure you followers would like to be exposed to her on a larger scale. On that note, the only sad thing about her is; That you’re probably not going to be able to keep her for long before someone snatches her away from you or she gets her own channel. But let’s stay positive and enjoy it for as long as it’ll last. Once again congratulations.
Ps. The bloopers is a good idea, the sequences could be a little tighter/shorter but in general thumbs up.

Should stop and have some dim sum while in China Town, buying gold in Thailand can be a bit risky, my step Dad bought a hundred gram bar which turned out to be only 35% gold so well done, fooled everyone until melted down, crazy, lucky gold back then was only $50 USD.
Reputable gold shops would never do this he must have bought the gold from a dodgy dealer
Well the way it was packaged was from a Swiss Bank, the old days, mid 70’s was a dodgy time to buy anything in BKK some of the best forgeries ever, probably hasn’t changed much just a new generation with better equipment.
