It’s really more than just her magnificent voice. How many vocalists can you name who make you “feel” their vocals in your soul, or just reach in and grab your heart, and bring you to tears every time? That’s Angelina. How many vocalists can you name who aren’t just singing to the music, but rather their voice IS the music? That’s Angelina, with her wonderful melisma, vocal fry, vibrato, and jazz stylings. That’s why Angelina is at her best when accompanied by only one or two acoustic instruments. Her humility shines also. A small curtsy and a smile at the end of an epic performance like this tells you how humble she is, as does her smile, wave and “bye” at the end of many private sessions. So, it’s so much more than just her voice. It’s really the whole package. She’s a truly gift to us all - from the universe.

Yes, there is something about Angelina that no one can describe or explain. Whatever it is, it is addictive, hypnotic (as Howie said), likely therapeutic and terrific!
The ability for Angelina to captivate the audience from the first note it unmatched. Once captivated, she makes the listener FEEL the music, unlike any other vocalist in my opinion. Angelina will turn 15 on January 10 and begin her 10th year of her career, which began in a recording studio at age 6. Repeat that last sentence to yourself a few times. Angelina is a one of a kind.

Great reaction! Did you notice at the 3:50 mark the t-shirt she is wearing under her yellow blazer? A very cute picture of her young self with rosy red cheeks from the Norway's Got Talent time frame. (You still have 3 more videos to react to from that competition that we are looking forward to!). I applaud Angelina for her uniqueness and fearlessness in fashion sense, song choices and pushing the boundaries of her vocal abilities.

Exquisite. This is one of my favourite Angelina covers .. what i love so much about this and Bohemian Rhapsody is that she took both songs and truly revamped them to fit the time structure at AGT. What beautiful gifts they both turned out to be for us!

G&T, thanks for another wonderful reaction to Angelina. I really liked this version of the song of hers, so soft, melancholic and slowed down and with those fantastic vocal games that really changed this old Elton John song, even if she started from the version, perhaps not very well known, by Sara Bareilles. From the first time I listened to her, with the lights centralizing her, the just hinted musical carpet (so different from the original song) and her yellow / orange dress perfectly in character, it completely captured me. I have listened to it dozens of times now, but every time I hear it, the emotion assails me again ❤️ ❤️
With Angelina it's really a problem to suggest the best songs, there are so many and all so incredible and also so varied in genres and arrangements, that it becomes difficult to choose, she has performances for every kind of mood, but they all improve it.

Not sure how but she transfers emotion on the same waves that carry the sound.
She somehow dances with the emotion of the lyrics then passes them along with her song.
Only I think some of her rubbed off on the emotion.
It’s like I can FEEL her emotion /love /respect for the song she sings.
Did you notice how creative Angelina is with the discipline of phonetics that she adds as the music of words to her renditions?
She started that unique ornementation of hers when she was 12 in a concert with the military band of Norway where she sang powerfully, should I say crazyly, This Is A Man's World, her cover of James Brown's iconic jazz song.
Here, after singing the words back to the howling old owl down the woods, she mimicks the sound of the owel, then pronounces so slightly the word owl. This at the 4: 30-37 mark. Wow indeed!
This is the first time in my life that I watch that kind of artistic vocal creation from a vocalist: that is how much creativity there is in her art form.
But then, not to forget, there is master Dimash too!
How can us 'mere mortals' compete with that?????

As to how AJ draws us in, I used to think the Grimm fairy tale about the pied piper with the magic flute drawing away all the town's children was poppycock, just an impossible fable..but that was before I saw what happens with smart phones these days and before I heard AJ do pretty much the same thing with her voice in nearly every performance! I'm sure it a coincidence that the piper was said to be dressed in multicolored clothing (maybe like Angelina during Bohemian Rhapsody)!

I just listened to the Sara Bareilles version of Yellow Brick Road and enjoyed it. However, you can't compare it to Angelina's version because Angelina had to fit the song into AGTs two and a half to three-minute window.
I did like Sara Bareilles' version of the song, but I prefer Angelina's voice. Angelina puts more emotion into the lyrics

Hi. There are several points about Angelina that I would like you to address (I am a musical composer). I tell you from my point of view and why they make this teenager (perhaps) the best singer of all time. 1) Plasticity. She can "imitate" any singer with her voice, imitating means having the ability to "absorb" from said singer colors, textures, musical smells, feelings, that's why I say that Freddie Mercury could only be Freddie Mercury but not Amy's textures Whinehuse or Elvis Presley and so vice versa. There is no singer of today, famous (Adele, etc) or in musical growth who has this capacity 2) humility. Absolutely all the singers at this moment personify the music, they create a show of everything they do, instead Angelina seems like a teenager who is continuously learning, practicing. How long is she going to practice? I don't know ... when she presents videos on TH-cam and fans or haters admire or criticize they don't understand that she is only practicing, she is a girl who practices music, nothing more than that. I am impressed that she also practices when she is on stage, and it seems that she only does performances until now to give herself "little tastes" like going to AGT: SHE JUST WANTED TO SING HER IDOL Simon Cowell (AS SHE SAID IT) SING QUINCY JONES OR SING WITH THE NORWEGIAN BAND TO SHOW THE POWER THAT HIS SONG HAS (LITTLE LIKES THAT THIS GIRL GIVES HIMSELF IN LIFE) 3) There is something that very few Reactors have mentioned: she is continuously playing (if she is not the reincarnation of Elvis Presley I do not know what it is) I explain: at the moment she connects with some musicians of the orchestra and exchanges gestures, she often looks at the camera intently because she knows that someone is looking at her from this side, other times she is so possessed in the narration of the song that it is difficult for her to return to reality, it remains as in a strange state of regression 4) she is a musical teacher, she makes small corrections to the original musicians, without changing her style or original narration and she does it with n much respect. NEVER SAW SOMETHING LIKE THIS, a musician (in this case sings an author) who is obsessed with the fact that music stops being fragmented into styles. How to achieve this? making the important thing is the dimensionality of the song, a singer whose purpose is to teach that singing is not a gymnastics, singing is not an Olympic vocal chord tournament, music is not a stage show: MUSIC IS SIMPLY ONE BEAUTIFUL SONG TO SHARE. The only reason why she did not win America's Got Talent is because she would not agree to sign with Simon Cowell. she wants total control over her music and that does not happen if you're with Simon Cowell
