You forgot the black-footed cat. The single most effective cat build not just on the Africa server, but in the entire game. Nocturnal assassins so effective at the hunting mechanic, they can earn more XP in one night than a leopard player earns in six months.
As a player from the Brazilian server, I can surely confirm that the Jaguar class can seriously outplay the Human one in the jungle/wetland biomes, especially if the Human class is not carrying their special tools.
Housecats are easily S tier, as they've forged an alliance with the most OP faction in the game. They're hands down the best support for human players. Sure, dogs have their advantages, such as loyalty, power and speed, but cats can be used for emotional support and pest control.
@@jakubnowak649 Yeah right... Cuddling up with a cat and feeling it's warmth and the soothing vibrations of it's purring gives a massive +1,000 boost to the Relaxation and Happiness stats, instantly heals the Anxiety and Fear debuffs, and grants the Comfort buff for a varied period of time, which regenerates all stats under the Mental Health category back to maximum. The Comfort buff's varied time limit is based on the fact that the cat in question may decide to jump off the bed or couch it previously occupied. I don't know why they were programmed like that. Don't blame the devs, maybe it's just an oversight in their code...
Smaller dog builds can also provide pest control and morale boost, while still providing the alarm function. Large dog builds can fill more versatile rolls, such as tracking, takedown assist, bonding with other supports for protection from predator builds... Dogs are by far the better human support due to their versatility. A human team who wants to invest heavily in supports should have at least a few dogs, cats are skippable.
No but house cats are easily A-B tier and not just because of their alliance with humans in the meta. They have impressive respawning rates, have mid level social abilities, amazing steath and can pull off intimidation skills well enough to frighten black bears. Yes they can get bodied by any class that outweighs them but they've pooled so much XP in acrobatics it's like cartoon physics. They're so successful that they've managed to break African Meta containment and can adapt to nearly every terrain on the map. That and their closest wild relative the black footed cat has a 90% hunting success rate which is higher than any member of the panthera family. Literally house cats will body smaller ops for loot drops even when their respective human guild lets them have full HP at any given moment just because they like griefing small animal players.
I'm sitting here watching your videos at 2 in the morning surrounded by house cats and you're telling me JUST NOW that they're S TIER SERIAL MURDERERS?!?
Mad Cinder dude, house cat players won't want to kill you unless they have the rabies debuff, it's simply impractical to kill their main source of exp, they are S-tier murderers because they slaughter large arthropod players(insects and spiders) and small to mid size bird, reptile, mammal and amphibian players, only poison, or really good armor can save you, also they don't get affected by intimidation debuffs, letting them take down players like vipers, eagles and frilled lizards
I think the most valuable trait of house cats are their bond with humans. Just like domesticated dogs, any animal that can benefit off of the best build in the game (by far) will be immediately at least A tier. If it weren't for humans, domesticated dogs and cats would be D tier, if not F tier.
They can survive, and that puts them on the tier list, but they don't thrive. They can't hunt even medium sized animals, they're extremely vulnerable to predators, and their fur doesn't blend in well in a lot of environments. My grey cat would only be able to use its fur at night time, and even then it doesn't work out well for them. They aren't mean to be in the wild, they're meant to serve us, and they serve us by being cute and not like their predator family members in the feline tree of animals.

Not to mention that it had to go up against the Thundercats and the mysterious Lion Men from Megaman. Those two hybrid builds synergize way more by subclassing into Human along with Feline. Cheetahs get their best aspect, their speed, cut in half for mediocre increases in INT and STR, while legendary players like Lion-O is a testament to the potential that the higher-tier, more balanced Felines have when subclassing. Though Lion-O was never had his STR as a pure Lion build could've been, the loss was marginal compared to the all-round increase of his other stats, which were all high enough to abuse Lion strats while making effective use of the Human special ability of tool use to absolutely dominate the meta back in the 80s. I mean, the Lion-O build reigned supreme for years, it wasn't until a similar builds focused around abusing the turtle's incredibly high Defence and the Human's pretty decent Agility and Stealth stats along with the always broken Tool Use that the Thundercats build was upstaged.

@@DripKage-t9f they say one swipe from a lioness is enough to disembowel you but one swipe from a lion is enough to decapitate a man. @@cassius573 there is only 2 species of alligator, american which is found almost exclusively in southeastern america, and chinese, which is found in china. That could be an alligator if the jaguar wandered into the united states (which they do, but on very rare occasions), but seeing how it looked like it was in a jungle, this is unlikely. Unless it was in a wildlife preserve of some strange sort, it was almost definetly a caiman
@@ackyducc5040 You are kinda right. Both Jacaré, Aligators and Caimans are in the ALLIGATORIDAE family. But, there are only 2 species of the genus ALLIGATOR: Alligator Sinensis and Alligator Mississippiensis.
Even though most of our Jacarés are of the Caiman genus, and smaller than the American Alligator, there is also one JACARÉ of the genus Melanosuchus called Jacaré-açu (big Jacaré) which is actually bigger than the American Alligator and it is predated by the Jaguar.
To add further to the confusion, in Portuguese we call Aligators "Jacaré americano". So they are all synonym if you're not using zoology jargon.

@fleunteur Yep. Big Cats are just that awesomely powerful. Physically, they may be the pinnacle of mammalian/Synapsid body design. They have this amazing combination of strength, power, speed, agility. Great endurance is the only thing lacking. That is the Canids and Human province.

The Comfort buff's varied time limit is based on the fact that the cat in question may decide to jump off the bed or couch it previously occupied.
I don't know why they were programmed like that. Don't blame the devs, maybe it's just an oversight in their code...
Yah house cats are such op bild they crontol humans and do stelth hunting in night
Cats can still survive without humans in more isolated playzones like forests and scrubland
My sister's cat is a brown tabby. She's clearly put a lot of points into actual stealth skills and easily disappears from sight in the woods behind our house. My own cat is white with orange patches, but he's really bouncy, so I guess he's been focusing more on athletics.
Snow leopards are actually a separate class from true leopards. They share more in common with the tiger class than with leopards. As such, they shouldn't have been lumped together but rather examined on their own merits.

You're helping me to get back into my own hobby of editing, which I've left to gather dust in the lonely corners of my brain for far too long.
Lastly, that last touch at the end is a good one. I was _just_ going to post a comment complaining about that when it came up. I look forward to that video, as well.

Never got the promised follow up on domestic cat tiers 😭
Loved this video but would be awesome to see all the cats included not just 1 per tier
I did make a video on domestic cats, check my channel
As a Tiger player I was getting ready for an angry comment if you placed our rivals the lions on top, but I can respect the Jaguars getting that spot. Those guys are really an underappreciated bunch.
Yamil Diaz i know. I used to play Jaguar for a long time but it‘s almost to easy if you know how to avoid Human mains. That‘s why i switched to fox. It‘s more challenging.
stfu, fucking nerds
Downfall you salty damn bitch?
I’m a lion player, what you wanna do
Apparently my spirit animal is a lion (meaning that I've played as one recently) but I like serval cats better, which I'm guessing is more closely related to the tiger than the lion.
Look, I don't main cheetah for its viability in competitive play. I main cheetah for the memes.
Gotta go fast.
You get it!
Who cares for survivability when you have the memes!

Cheetah wins all capture the flag matches

Back to the Past..
Cheetah: “I put all evolution points into one skill, I regret it now.”
Poison Dart Frog: “My guy, I did the same, except I can also down a herd of elephants.”
Cane Toad: You are weak
Birds: "Frogs got nothing on flying." *dies*
@@PowerGaming_28 He knew that he had to take one for the flock. He died a good death. A soldier's death.
Poison Dart frogs should spec into mobility and external digestion, and become a carnivore, just jump onto then and digest them
Elephant: FR frog?
Late to the party but this channel seems educational and entertaining af. I think this list is pretty accurate although I'd slide the tiger into the S tier.
You can really tell who just got this video recommended, and who is part of the established Outside player base.
So you guys are like really into biology?
What kind of a game is this all about?
Durkeis097, their playing make-believe
Now I wish this was a real game.
Dylan Frey well you can try different tier classes after you exit your game as a human
Yeah there’s a very high chance we all live in a simulation so yeah
A Noob there's not a "very high chance" that were living in a simulation. It's equally unlikely as it is likely. There's no way to prove it and no way to disprove it so there's no point in continuing to think about it.

You somehow manage to combine two things I love: Competitive Melee and Animals
Bravo 👏🏼

When the jaguar came up I was like:
"Jaguar in S-Tier? Are you sure? I can't see a scenario where it would be better than a lio...oh shit! Oh my god. ok, I see your point now."
well, there are only two things thar I know that the jaguar doesn't hunt and that live in South America too, which are otters and the botos (the animal boto.)

The domestic cat is easily S tier. On their own, they have above average stealth and mobility allowing them to effectively ambush rodent and bird players. They do lack in raw attack power and are easily defeated by larger builds. However, their strong alliance with humans is an entirely unique strategy among the cats, and has allowed them to dominate in every environment in the server since the class was introduced.
But when they are alone, well, they are the free real state for, basically whatever predator bigger than them, from foxes to even pythons and other cats
@@alejandroelluxray5298 In single combat, yes, but their high agility and stealth stats give them the ability to evade or hide from larger builds quite easily.
@@thegardenofeatin5965 well that's the idea for that kitty, but I prefer hunting big game, and I like water, Jaguar its the best cat, atleast for me
@@alejandroelluxray5298
Yeah, but Jaguar cant play in urban servers, and domestic cats can.

You forgot about the WTF tier: House cat. It can call in humans that defend it against everything and has access to all kinds of prey do to their owned humans.
And basically mind control humans
7:21
The video where he features the house cat is one of the few videos of his I really don’t like. It’s not really factual, it’s just extreme bias against cats when he clearly prefers dogs. To each their own, but that’s really the only video he’s made that lacks the polish and accuracy of the others. Otherwise, this video and all of the other tier zoo videos are amazing :-)
I seen this on my recommended and I must say this is the most hilarious and educational channels I’ve seen to date
I saw the Lion King meme and you immediately earned a subscriber. Holy crap that was gold.
I had no idea Jaguars hunted crocodiles. That's insane.

I'm officially rebinging all of these absolutely perfect videos. Perfect.
Cheetahmen was a pretty low-tier franchise too.
Fuck this cheetahs are amazing
Cheetah Kek lmao did you create a TH-cam account just to make that comment?

That depends on what the OP was implying. If he meant this video specifically, (which I'm sure that's the case) then it's "is". If he implied multiple videos, I think he'd say "this videos are so informative".
You still fucked up. If they were implying all videos, they'd say "These are so informative". If they're referring to the single video, yes, "are" becomes "is". You can't name yourself Grammar Nazi, and be unable to correct people's grammar properly. /facepalm
It seems the Internet gods have chosen to arbitrarily smile down on your channel. There is something about referring to the death of a Cheetah as that Cheetah being "bodied," that really tickles me.
Lmfao agreed buddy.
I don't get it... Could anyone clarify that for me?
Ganondorf, to be bodied means to get utterly destroyed in something you are competing in. So if we were playing smash bros or something, and you killed me ten times in a row, and I didn't even hit you once then I would be "bodied".

Pro domestic cat tip: Use your human companion/slave to it's highest potential. And if you ever find your self with a human female with the "cat lady" trait (unless you like the mellow life) run as fast as possible. Hope this helps!
noobshrine thanks for the tip dear human
Leopards are underrated imo, they are pound for pound the strongest big cat, are the most spread out over the world (can hunt and survive in different terrains and next to different competition), they regularly eat pythons, can kill grown bysons alone (takes at least 2 lions), secure their pray by taking it up a tree (they can carry pray twice as heavy as themselves) so no one can take it away
I would agree but a jaguars has at least a 2x better bite…
@@Flowku i doubt that a leopard ever lost its prey because it lacked bite force though
@@lukatrdina5108it does alot
And the video didn't mention that leopards are getting their prey stolen too and they are worse hunters than cheetah
Definitely deserve lower
Any big cat can kill python and stop capping they can't kill bison
@@AhmedBabiker-sr8fl Sorry, that was a wildebeest, not a byson, just looked it up. Still pretty impressive for a solo hunter. They should definitely not have been lower, nature gives you all the stats you need- leopards live in 3 continents, and in big numbers, meaning they're "good at survival" which is the only measure that counts. Cheetahs on the other hand are almost extinct (class critically endangered).
@@lukatrdina5108 I agree with you that's consider impressive because predators that hunt wildebeasts hunt them in groups expect leopard they are very aggressive and sometimes that lead to their death I rank them B tier in my opinion not higher or lower I think tigers should be lower (B tier) and cheetah and cougar be both C tier
house cat is at least s+ tier. With being able to leech of off humans and being everywhere in the world.
pretty much why I didn't put them in this video. There's too much to say about them.
Sounds like we can expect a Domestic/Pet Build video soon?

I've had multiple Cat and Dog players in my clan, and while the Dog skills of "Bark" and "Growl" are good at deterring other Stealth and Aggro players, my cat clan members have the most confirmed kills by far. We also have a Rabbit player, but she just begs for loot all day...
I'm half-convinced that house cats actually have a secret, undocumented mind control ability. Surely there's no way they could be so dominant over the otherwise crazy-OP humans. And that's nothing new, either! Apparently they were downright deified in some really old version!

Tiger: sonic sound attack

Mountain lions deserve a higher spot. They are an odd cat with plenty of nerfs, but their versatility has led to them being one of the only large cats with no concern on the endangered status. They thrive in almost any environment, could almost be considered invasive, and the can leap 40ft. They have returned to Michigan and Wisconsin after they were thought to be extinct from those areas. At least a tier.
pumas are extremely strong for their size hunting 700 lbs bull elk and killing feral horses.

6:15 Seeing a Jaguar kill a caiman was incredible.
Edit: Thanks for telling me that it is a caiman.
>crocodile
A crocodile is much more stronger than a JACARÉ(you guys know him as "black caiman"). Also, Jaguars only hunt small jacarés, big jacarés can hunt jaguars too, and I already saw it with my own eyes while fishing, the jacaré didn't killed the jaguar, but the jaguar ran like a missile for the jungle.
is there a Jaguar in this world that could hunt a Lolong? not even all the jaguars in the world combined.
That was a Caiman
That's a Caiman. Crocodiles and Alligators would be WAY too big for a Jaguar to kill but these smaller species are enough for the cats to kill. If it was a Saltwater Crocodile though then it's game over for that Jaguar.
I thought Caimen was just a Star Fox 64 enemy. Had no clue it was an actual animal.
I thought the house cat was going to be S class. They survive everywhere
It IS S tier.

Yes, the housecat is S class, but to be fair, they are only S-class because they basically stole their spot by infecting the human class with toxoplasmosis.
