One of my faves. You can’t have any expectations with Rush music. They did what they wanted, always pushing the limits of a three piece and made music that was getting them off, hoping others would like it too. Turns out, millions did.
This has always been one of my favorite "Rush songs never played live." Rush has been my favorite band ever since 1978 when I bought "2112", and my neighbor bought "A Farewell to Kings." You'd have to been there in time to understand what a potent combo that was.....
Just read this on an article about the Signals re-release which perfectly expresses Rush's attitude. 😁 "Certainly, it didn’t seem to matter to Rush that their more reactionary constituents chafed at their evident appetite for progress. When asked “a lot of times” why he’d shortened his hair to a style that made him look like a member of The Cars, Alex Lifeson would reply: “Oh, I’m sorry, I don’t seem to have my rock’n’roll rule book with me”. "
One of my absolute fave Rush songs. When I’m tired of Permanent Waves or Moving Pictures I absolute love chilling with their later albums which are masterpieces.

Agree, They are very good and inspiring!
I think this song is absolutely beautiful! One of my favourites.
Presto came out in 1989.

My favorite track on this album. Great, great song.
My vote for one of the best album closers ever...
Why do you think that?
The little bluesy fills are so nice.

“Rush? Signals? What the hell is that?” Geddy Lee circa Signals release. That was him anticipating a fan reaction. 😀
Love the album and the song! Alex with the bluesy guitar and Geddy's voice
Again, you have to listen to all the different eras of this band.
I got you!
Your intro freaked me out.. for a second I thought my right channel failed.. then the music started… very relieved.

Great Choice.

I believe Rupert Hine played the piano on this track
Possibly Hugh Syme. The album cover guy. He played keys on a number of Rush albums.
Nov 1989 = release date
😰
Presto is fine album, I don't care what other Rush fans say.
lol
I have ranked at #3 of their 20 studio albums. I adore it.
