I had to click on this interview especially when I realized this is Eric sermon, the one who made my songgg “ just like music.” That song brings me so much joy. When speaking on music, I think the music back then was SO special because they actually used live instrumentation. The songs made you feel once you heard that melody and those instruments. People aren’t making classics anymore. If you can perform your songs 10, 20 years later… that means you made impact.
So good to see Erick Sermon back in good spirits and good health, God is good... Icon 👑 💯
Erick is such an Amazing part of Hip-Hop History that his value is too inspiring to even find words. EPMD, HIT SQUAD, DEF SQUAD FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!! "Tales From the Crackside" is record that made me start producing. FUNK LORD FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!
$750 in 1987 is worth $2,027.02 today … the power of radio in the 80’s
This legend deserved a SOUND CHECK!! Come on!!!
The conversation that they're having about the black communities issues building together is a great conversation to have. Our issues are all mental, not financial. Financially we have everything that we need to grow and develop as a community. What we don't have is the mentality because the culture that we are using goes against building together and that's by design by the people who capitalize us off of us being divided. We need to care enough about our condition to not listen to the programming and do what we have to do to be organized and connected. There are a lot of other ethnic communities out there who even in the controlled environment that they live in are able to spend and help each other. We just have to start using that mentality. The difficult part is attaining that mentality when our culture is against it. We have to intentionally be different than how we've been taught to be.
One of the best interviews I’ve seen in a very long time.
Fire y’all sound man
🎯🎯
The volume is super low so I could barely hear him clearly but overall a great interview! Definitely one of the legends!!
Agreed, I would run the audio through a strong / compressor limiter and re-upload this interview. In the future, the host / producer should check that the levels are even between everyone. I would also add a compressor/limiter - during the interview - then if there is still an uneven signal - apply in post as well
'IN DA FIELD OF RAP .. I'M SUPERB .. I'M FLY ..I SHOULD BE IN DA SKY .. WITH BIRDS' ..
Dope episode! Y'all gotta really get the audio right tho.....hard to follow when u can barely hear what the guests are saying. Happened in a episodes.
right.. reminds me of howard stern.. all the mikes need to be live .. not just the host mic

I saw the EPMD comeback show in BBkings in NYC, They brought mad heads on stage and mad celebs were in the crowd, Red and Meth was there, Kid Capri, Funk Flex, Keith Murray, I forget if it was red or Meth but one of them got soemthing thrown at them and were about to go wild. One of the best shows of my life in such a small venue and I been to many, the first 12 summer jams, The hard knock life tour in MSG, Eminems first and second world tour as well as the one night only Jay-z/Eminem at Yankee stadium and many others.
BB Kings was the spot! Damn shame they closed down.
To the brother born in '79, Eric B. For President and Eric B. Is President is two different songs. You'll enjoy the search for the difference between the two, and why.
Green Eye Bandit
Please turn the volume up on future episodes.
Yea bro just gotta tighten up the audio ask Parks from the JBP
Thought my phone battery was dying 😂

Yoooo! She said, “I do like Kanye, I just don’t like that he’s married to white women”!😂😂😂
EPMD LEGENDS IN THIS GAME❤🎉🎉🎉
Great episode and History lesson from a Icon🌍🫡
My man was interviewing hisself not Eric good lord 🤦🏿♂️
like the show wow you guys
Lyricism sold records it would b important back in the day they got a record to hear lyrics
Good interview 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 Quick side note the AUDIO is weak. Fix that.
The proper way to conduct a interview whenever you interview Erick and Parrish is to not cut them off when they talk let them speak they are not just fans of the hip hop culture via craft but they are true historians that’s how when they speak you automatically know they were present for the beginning up until the evolution of today peace 💪🔥🔥🔥
I would love a E and Future project
Its crazy how rap has changed. Im actually disappointed im what rap music has become. These guys aren't rapping now. They are getting rich on garbage and they are going to blow it all. Today's rapper will be broke by the age 50. They are blowing their money on drugs and material shit. No business sense.
Hip hop radio - Erick Sermon. Don't believe the hype! You live your life on the words they say on the Hip Hop radio, you sell yourself for the things they say the platinum and the gold, but nobody wants to hear the truth but when the darkness comes the light shines through and the light is in you!
Keep the suits out the booth
-Curtis King
Turn the audio up
46:25😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Fearless 4 Is From Harlem !!!
The sound quality is raggedy as hell!
she's being small minded when Eric is speaking progressively and identify what we DO have at our finger tips to excel as a people, EVENTHOUGH we are at a disadvantage. She is stuck on the "but..." in our way. That's what stifles our growth when we assemble. Small minds and visionaries don't mix
You gotta work on the audio bruh.
Sound socks but E top 5! They get a pass, they owe E one. Still thumbs up for the green eyed bandit!!!🔝
Can't hear it to low
Disco King Mario .... and others who herc learned from are never spoken about. What DJ created music ? none . DJs play music they don't create it
He definitely from Atlanta with them fruity glasses on.
Reparations are due. Labor=Wealth that was stolen. Paid in Cash to only those who descend from those enslaved in the U.S... Spending money in the U.S. is good for the economy. Cash Reparations are good for the economy.
I love her for the they don’t believe in gender comment!!!!! This is a great interview/conversation but the sound is horrible!
This 🤬🤡 said don't give cash Reparations. He shouldn't receive a pay check because he is going to spend the money the way he wants to....
hate the hat though
Dude don’t wanna claim New York lol….nugga u have a New York accent
Dude really has a low opinion of Black people. 99.9% of Black people didn't get a PPP loan or waste any money...
Let Tamera SPEAK
New York..and surrounding areas..had the resources...but LEGENDARY SKILL🔥
Make everlasting music...word...at 40 ...are u listening to ....naw...I love the Chronic...but will I play..."Bitches Ain't Shit?...
I would, especially for the beat and to reminisce. Too short too every now and then.
