Beautiful place my friend
I would recommend you 100% COBRA PRINCE's youtube channel to get some pointers on how to avoid cobras and deal with them. As he always say, "No rats, no cobras. No frogs nor lizards, no cobras. They're literally cobra diet. Stay safe.
Plant lots of tanglad, snakes hate the scent i heard.
Strong scents: Many plants release strong scents that snakes find repulsive. These scents can mimic predator odors or simply be unpleasant to snakes. Plants like marigolds, garlic, onions, and lemongrass emit powerful odors that deter snakes from entering an area.
Adam you just stole my line! I was going to say that snakes and guys named Adam don't go well together, but you beat me to it! LOL
Hi Adam and Jane. I heard that garlic smell repels snakes. Maybe plant garlic around your yard and also scatter some smashed garlic. Hope my suggestion will help
The aussie farming in the philippines he puts lots of mothballs around his house and reckons it keeps the Cobras away
A house with bamboos usually a cool place for snakes. I think you should remove them and change it with plants like lemon grass or other plants that would scare snakes away. My opinion anyway. Beware of cobras they will kill human. Besides your area has lots of vacant spaces with full of grasses all over the place that's why lots of snakes rats tuko are roaming around.
Agree with u n moreover, when u cook in the garden, the smell left behind oil can attract esp. rats.
Be check always your garden cause snake they like a cold place and most so many grass in your garden.
Time to cement or put tiles around your house instead of soll and planters boxes made of bamboo, cobra love bamboo 😊
Stay safe, God bless
Yes! Plant many lemon grass. And cetronella they hate the scent
Cute vlog, thanks for sharing! Subbed
your never get rid of them, they live in the land around you.
we use mothballs to keep snakes away. It has worked well for us.
That scares the hell out of me whenever I'm in PI And out in province. Any brushy area. My wife is from Leyte, and has family on both Samar and Leyte. Look at Cebu and Southern Leyte this past January February. Many deaths from cobras.
Plants some klabo, lemongrass around your fence. Snake galing yan sa labas ng fence niyo for sure. If you plants those klavo, lemon grass they dont like the smell.lalayu yan sila.
There have been lots of great recommendations for you. Just make some changes that fit best with how you want things to be. You are learning some lessons you can share with others so they don't have the same problems. Kubos are nice and are an attractive addition to the landscape, but may not be practical at this point. I'm sure you will get it figured out. I'll watch the progress with anticipation. God bless.
Use botas when you go to your garden and bring some wood when you go to your garden to make noise so the snake will go.
🤭 I think you should check out the bamboo nipa hut as snakes love bamboo as it's cool and easy to hide in or maybe under the hut.
make all parts of the palnts open so that u can see and snake not hiding in an open place thats right u need to clean it lol see u in ur next vlog i love u guys take care
Put double screen in your windows and doors for your protection.
Use snake traps and place it outside in every corner of your home and garden
Just plant more lemongrass to deter snakes in your garden
How to keep snakes away from your ground use mothballs I shot on a video in the Philippines as an Australian guy he uses mothballs
Bamboo tree is cool place for snakes,, it is better to remove the bamboo tree. . Stay safe lovely family 🙏
Plant more oregano, lemon grass, malunggay in your area. The smell of this don't like the snakes.
The garden is lush green, like it just take care always wear protective boots or gloves...
Hi! Planning to move back to Maasin soon and the Samar Cobra (ugahipon) is one of my worries as we’re planning to live in my family property in the country. I’m thinking of raising turkey and/or peafowl mainly for that threat. Cats and geese are good against them too! I understand they are part of our whole ecosystem and that we are moving into their habitat. But the danger is just too real. I used to work in an ED that was a snakebite center so I have seen what cobra envenomation looks like. 😰
Raised beds are also good as you don't have to bend over or squat so much to tend to them. Good deterrents are lemongrass, onion and garlic because they dislike strong odours, these plants have the advantage of being useful in the kitchen too. Perhaps have moveable pots of lemongrass so that you can put them near the dining area when cooking and eating outdoors.
said they are also mosquito-repellant plants.
Try digging the soil where you last seen it,cobra lives under the soil specially in hot weather they look for cool places to hide.
You should demolish that small Nipa house too and what's concerning is that you're surrounded by tall grasses all over you property.
Congratulations to the new driver in the family 👏🏻👏🏻
Learning a lot from your home gardening experience … snakes and all (even the rat in the ceiling experience )
I think the TH-camr is called Aussie Farmer in the Philippines
Just tidy up grounds and clear anything that can become a hiding place of the snakes like piles of logs or lumber or debris specially those that will rot, because decaying grass or garbage will produce heat that snakes love.
Be careful and check when you get the timber under your cooking area
Hello dear friend God's afternoon to you. I arrived back home a week to day as I was there for 7 months and building the house I come across 3 one black and yellow one black and one green . Very scary when you never seen one in real life take care God's blessings keep safe dear friend
When I was small the snake come up to our house at night some times to catch the chicken to eat we woke up in the middle of the night for the chicken yielding asking help some are flying even dou.its so dark to save Thier lives .and we noticed the big cobra has the chicken in hes armed pulling up all he's body to the chicken .
Put cloves, cinnamon and pepper in small bundles throw in your garden it will chase away all insects, but it will be expensive. Take neem tree leafs, cloves and pepper boil make a solution scent natural insecticide and pesticides it will kill all insects and chase away snakes.
You can grind them to powder form too is better
Adopt cats,, and plant tanglad..
Get a Mongoose pet or two.
More cats.
Gravel is good as noise will alert snake to you.
Very rare you will find snake by looking for it.
We had some in the mountain at Biliran.
They chop head off, but be careful it can still bite even with head off from body.
Get a perspex curved shield and a litter picker, I got two and put in sack to move them away, but locals killed them.
They say better safe than sorry.
Don,t destroy garden for one snake.
Put some movement detector lights about the garden.
Wish you well.
Not surprised as you have back garden is connected to the wilderness and forest
Did you not see the wall we have? It’s not connected. There are vacant lots around us. Forest and wilderness? 🤣
@@AdamandJanesLifestyle they can climb walls, that why they are snakes 🐍
Looks like they are building a nest in your yard if small ones are around. One nest can have 30-40 eggs. Find them and get rid of them. First thing you should do is close your main gate by installing a solid metal sheet around your entire front gate. Then, go around the perimeter of your house and seal proof your entire house. When I saw that big lizard cone into your house I was shocked, it means you have holes in your house critters can come in including snakes. Now more snakes you have, means the big guy is coming (King Cobra) 3 meters long. They eat nothing but snakes but you dont ever want him in your yard. Here in Manila, I sealed my entire house that even ants can't come in. Haha 😂
Thank you my friend and we had that thought about the gate too. At least at the bottom part. The lizard was outside and, to our knowledge, there aren’t any ways in unless it goes up a drainpipe. They has been covered now though and there shouldn’t be any way in. King Cobras aren’t native to where we are but won’t take any chances. Have a great day 😊
Plant marigolds, lemongrass, basil, garlic, onion around your house perimeter. They hate the smell of those plants.
Also if you can , go plant pandan leaves all around your house ...if I'm not wrong, snakes hates pandan leaves? Hope I'm right , check before you do ...I'm pretty sure there are some plants that keeps them away!
In the beginning, buy mothballs, and spread aroun house, keep all grass short.rid your area of bamboo
Plan lemon grass around yoir house n garden to avoid snake coming to your backyard. Snakes dont.like the smell of lemon grass.
Plant lemon grass around your house, snakes don't like the smell of it.
It’s raining season and it will keep getting pretty. Bamboos is home for snake Kuya.
Hei😊, snakes dont like garlic, maybe u can put both in ur sorounding. Have a nice day og take care😊🎉
Can you get a clear picture of this “snake skin hood”? It doesn’t look like a snake shed to me. Sheds are clear without vibrant colors. I’m watching on my phone so it’s hard to see. I’m not gonna go into my credentials, but let’s just say I know snakes. 😆
You can clean up the area so snakes won’t have a place to hide, but they can basically hide almost anywhere. Snakes are on the move a lot looking for food, so you’ll always have them slithering through. Cats are great at finding them. If you’re super paranoid…. Get a cat for the garden.
Thank you my friend. It’s a very, very fresh shed. The pattern matches a Cobra along with the color as it’s very fresh. There is shape of a hood. The second piece is the tail. It’s on 2 different days. We say the snake the next day after the first shed. I’ve owned snakes and have seen color in the shed but it fades very quickly.
Thanks for your advice and help 😊🙏
Put also mothballs in the place where you stock the firewoord and other place where it is cool....lcobra love to stay in cool places
Bit different to England. That's why when I visited our family in mindanao I taught my kids if they see a snake, spider or centipede to keep away and tell us or their cousins
Stay safe guys❤
Encircle your garden with a lemon grass dude it will help, against snakes
Adam, Sorry you're still dealing with this problem you may want to check you tube for snake traps. I saw one that's a fish trap and you put fresh chicken eggs in it the snake goes in and can't come out. I really want to see victory over this pest God bless you
Thank you my friend. We will check them out. We will really start to remove the areas we think it might be this week and next. So far it doesn’t come out if we are out but by its shedding pattern, it waits till we are gone. God bless you 😊
Finally naa na mo katabang
Family came to help 😊
i think plant more lemon grass to get rid of snake
She really is an excellent driver, she managed to turn that SUV around in that small space 🤔
I've been driving for over 50 years and wouldn't even attempt that manoeuvre 😉
Raise your little buildings higher so you can see underneath them
Hello, Adam n Jane! Hve been yr subcriber for a few years now ever since u all left England. My first time to comment though hve been following all videos. Cooking in the garden for a long time is not advisable as the smell left behind can attract rats.
@canonind1909. Hello🙂. You’ve been following longer than I, but I will say Welcome to comment sections.
Tq 🙏@@wintersojourn9356

Get a couple of different types of snake traps, cage, pvc pipe in ground etc..
Cut the bamboo tree..the root of the bamboo favorite spot of snake..
Have at least 2 cats in your garden. My female cats are great hunters. They get rid of rodents, cockroaches, crawling insects. Yes, they were able to kill 2 snakes todate.
The old technic of others pinoy to prevent snake in their yard is to spread out garlic on the ground the smell of garlic is against to snake, you better plant some more limon grass to prevent snake.
You should plant many lemon grass(tanglad),oregano, aloe vera.lagay nyo sa bahay kubo nyo,mga dirty kitchen kse marami kayong panggatong na kahoy.
Just use potted plants around back door and cenent them
Avoid untreated digging of soil snakes might use it as their resting place for them to lay eggs
Try using hollow block for your garden beds .. not as pretty but works good .. our garden attract rattlesnakes and gopher snakes .. they like getting under the leaves where it's cooler so we have a long stick to check first. Also we find that using table scraps for compost/fertilizer attracts cats. Are there any natural predators for that cobra or a plant they don't like ? I hope you get it . just don't tell anyone.
You read our minds 🤣 we are today going to start the overhaul and build. We think it can look better even and far more manageable.
Where the snake skin tail is facing it is where the snake is hiding
Gecko!😂
Olá amigo você pode jogar cal de construção, às 🐍 não gostam, elas ficam de longe, pode colocar nas plantas também, ok,
hire bunch of cats to keep the snakes away.
You need to keep your surroundings free of debris. Snakes like to hide under those things.
Maybe snake hide the roots of the bamboo..
👍👍👍
Thank you my friend 😊
That one was a gecko. They eaat bugs especially roaches. They are harmless.
U should design your garden ,its too crowded, even the nipa hut u should check it ,snakes loves to stay in there.
The cobra is probably living in the kubo
Maayong buntag bai adam
Maayong buntag my friend 😊
To solve a problem, analyze first how it occur. Animals always look for food. They will not stay if there's no food. Design a garden that is safe from critters that are prey to other critters.
Might reconsider the distance of that Mango tree...they will most likely destroy your house's foundation....
It’s nowhere near close to our property my friend and it won’t get much bigger than it is. It’s not a giant tree this one. We can and will trim it if necessary. It’s staying of course. We planned its position carefully.
gecko they love hanging out at night in the kitchen to eat insects, especially cockroaches. they make sounds to mark their territory.
Would it work to keep out snakes if you secure the Bahai Kubo with wire mesh around the bottom and top?
Your surroundings are still largely grasslands, natural habitats to these creatures. Until your area is developed with more homes, you're bound to see snakes, geckos, rats more often; just be careful.
Jane is leaving haha. Careful every one. Maybe this snake is after the bird with its nest. Its like living with an enemy haha.
u need outdoor cats for that put them in ur garden
Remove accumulation of trash piles and organic materials where rats and mice are attracted which in turn their snakes predators will surely abounds in your property.
Cement mixer 😂😂😂😂
or any plant to avoid snake
Adding to the tookoe lizard story. GIs hated then. The call they make solids like an epithet. FU. So the FU gecko.
....seems like your Garden looks like a Forest over time....u need to clean ur backyard twice a week at least....
They hide in the bamboos and trees
Snakes DON'T like lemon grass
Cobra love bamboo its their natural habitat sue concrete instead
Snakes be gone ,, Adam and Eve Garden of Eden true story or not ?
Hi mate,
Long time no speak.
Hope you're OK?
Since the rain came these past few weeks here in Isabela, the garden is really overgrown. I'm sure we may have one or two Cobra's in the long grass. We have to 'askal' (wild) dogs which we keep as guard dogs. Hopefully they will let us know if they see any.....fingers crossed.
Stay safe mate. We Somerset guys need to be careful 😅
The snake is nesting in your garden
