Thank the good Lord I found your channel!😭 I've been looking for good copy tutorials on TH-cam and I've been reading all your extremely helpful content on your website! As soon as I saw your name I knew my problems where solved Thank you so much! I'm subscribing right away cause I need this in my life😩
Great video! I've never come across an email copywriting video broken down like this. I went through the comments and read your answers to all the questions. Thank you for these great guidelines.
Carmine, you're the best. It's great to have tangible examples to see how an email should be formatted. My question..., when a client hires you to do a job, do they provide you with material to review, or do they ask you to write a sales page on "X," and you do the research yourself? I'm unsure of how much detail they provide.
Thank you, and no problem! Each project is different. Most of the time, clients will give me branding and content guidelines as a start. Then, I do my own research on their business, customers, competitors, and read things like case studies, statistics, and industry reports to understand more.
hello carmine, its nice to see you bring the example of this video. you are very good at it. But the question is, what is the job that the copy writing do to affliate marketing sales once you has been accept to working on for the client, is it to posting the content product on the social media or anything that related to the product to promoted?
It depends on the client. You might be writing sales pages, emails, social media copy, etc. They may ask you to publish it or have their team do it. I work out these details with the client first.
I am thinking about getting your $19 course but I have a few questions 1.why is it so cheap compared to other copywriting courses which are around 500-700$ 2.I am new to copywriting so will I be able to learn and write emails that sell. 3.How long will it take to learn copywriting and land my first client.
I just wanted to ask Why don't you make a video which gives us an Idea of who you are? Your copywriting journey, brands you've worked with, your earnings and all. ( I'm interested in it too) A bit about me - I've done a bit of freelance content writing I'm planning to start copywriting freelancing from June currently I'm 17. I saw your video and these are definitely great and value packed I'll surely binge watch them after my exams!
You're welcome! You don't have to include a question in the subject line if you don't want to, it's just one of many strategies that help increase open rates :)
Thanks for the value packed video! I had a quick question. Where do we get all the information to write the email. Will the client give us all the information and the email campaigns and Write it or will I have to ask for all the information?
You're welcome! I like to ask the client if they have resources and documents they can give me before I begin writing that'll help me understand the product, industry, etc. I'll still research competitors, go through their website, and take my own notes too.
I notice these days from observing some copy emails, that the emails aren't to much writing focused, but are more visual with very little copy. I'm finding it a bit hard to know when would someone need emails with more copy? I assume it's for more "complicated" businesses for ex; coaching, meal prepping, online course, etc. Vs product focused like skin care products, hair care, a quick sale off a hoodie etc? Would love to get your opinion on when to write more depth email copy vs email copy that only requires very minimal copy.
You're exactly right! Typically, as a rule of thumb, more complex products and industries require more sales copy while simpler ones require less. It also depends on your audience. If you're speaking to customers that are at the top of the funnel and aren't 100% aware of what you offer and what solutions are out there, it will naturally require more sales copy to educate them. On the other hand, you can tighten and shorten sales copy for customers who've already converted because they have more experience with your offer/business.
@@itscoachcarmine Okay I see, that makes a lot of sense! Thank you, I'm currently working on a writing portfolio and have been wanting to create a section for emails, but didn't know how to properly write them. lol
For the mini-course tripwire offer, I'd have gone with the following subject line: "Build an extra income stream for just $19" Your thoughts on this variant?
please from what you stated that does mean the subject line being question-centered should be one. meaning you can choose one from any of the questions?
A question-focused subject line would be asking a question within the subject line of the email. Think, "Do you want to learn copywriting?" or "Struggling to get freelance clients?" for example. It engages the reader and prompts them to open the email :)
Thank you :) You could have a headline like "Learn How to Build a Profitable Advertising Agency in 30 Days" or "The Done-For-You 6-Figure Agency System". Just some ideas!
How do the emails get distributed to the consumer? Do you just give the text to the company and they handle it, or do you have to send them individually to random emails?
Usually, you're sending it out to an email list you've built, or a client has. Or, you could send these to cold prospects using a tool like Apollo or Hunter.io
Start studying and practicing email copywriting. Write sample emails to build a portfolio, and you can include that in your resume. Get email marketing certifications as well, and apply for email copywriter/marketer positions on LinkedIn.
Curious, 3 days into researching copywriting so forgive my amateur questions: - Do clients require you to provide graphics for the email or just the text? - Also are you the person who is sending the emails on behalf of the clients?? Or are you just providing the text and they send the email?
No problem! It depends on the client, but some may have designers that will take care of designing and sending the email itself. If you have the skills to do so, you can charge extra and include it as a service. The same goes for sending the emails, some clients will give me access to their CRM and I'll send them or they may have their team to do it.

Thanks for the video bro, very helpful for people who are new to copywriting and want to do this for a living.
I learned in the video that the email should be short. Am I correct?
Not necessarily short, but only write as much as needed. 👍
Wow, this was good. Thanks so much!
Wow, thank you.
Thanks so much for the detailed video. I have a question. Does the subject line necessarily have to contain so many questions in a sales email?

Do you give mentorship programs..? On teaching writing emails for newbie copywriters
For ads and things like that, do I also need to create a full ad and stuff like that, or just text and content?
Normally as a copywriter, you're just writing the content and structuring it, a designer will handle making into something that looks nice :)

Hi Carmine
Just a quick question, how long do you think a sales email should be?
Not long but it varies, I’d keep it under 200 words, the shorter, the better!
How much do you charge for these? They're gret!
Is sale mail also d.i.c and welome email
